The problem with carriers is that they carry a lot of aircraft which are very close to each other. This means your PC has to render a dozen of highly detailed models, and this can kill performance. The best tip I know is to place static "F/A-18C" instead of static "F/A-18C Lot 20".

Please attach your dcs.log (from Saved Games/DCS.../Logs). Most often, missing sounds are caused by mods.

This might be caused by your antivirus.
