  1. Can you take a video? That seems really strange.
  2. It has absolutely nothing to do with the 109 itself. AI aircraft use simple flight models. This is the reason an AI P-51 will fly just fine after taking 5-10 30mm hits, this is the reason the Mig-15 is unkillable in the Sabre unless you saw an entire wing off, this is the reason the 109 will point straight up and fly for miles away from the ground.
  3. Oh HELL YES LOCATION: California, USA, Pacific Standard Time LANGUAGE: English OTHER LANGUAGES: Nothing else that I am confident about. ACCENT: Depends on where you are from. American accent, I guess? EXPERIENCE & EQUIPMENT: No experience, I've always wanted to do something like this but never have. As far as equipment, my best friend in high school owns his own audio production company and is more than willing to let me use it. VOICE: Pretty strong, booming voice.
  4. They aren't though. Some people are just mad that they can't turn off pitch control and do a 180 on a dime in the Flanker anymore.
  5. While I appreciate Razbam delving into aircraft that I would wager most people have never heard of... please. for the love of god. no more trainers/light attack/COIN aircraft.
  6. Again, what's the advantage gained? Tell me the specific game-breaking advantage gained from this program. What information does it provide that you shouldn't be getting?
  7. OOOOOOH! Except it doesn't do any of that. It's an external device with the same limitations as the ingame FC3 aircraft. The only thing this mod really does that isn't in game is provide a data link. Which is a very well known, realistic tool that was never implemented simply because the developers didn't know how at the time.
  8. Okay, just stop posting. You can't even present a legitimate reason or argument for why you consider it cheating. You're just throwing out broad generalizations and misdirection because you know that you have no idea what you are talking about. You are literally saying over and over and over again: "It's cheating. It's a band-aid for SA. If you use this, you are a cheater." I could make that argument about anything people use in addition to DCS. It's not fair that some users have a HOTAS. The game had keyboard controls, and anyone using a HOTAS has unfair control over their aircraft. It's not fair that people use Teamspeak to communicate with their wingmen, because I don't have friends who play DCS so I have no wingmen or Teamspeak. It's not fair that people use TrackIR to look around while I have to use my mouse. I have to give up control of my aircraft and they don't. You're making a pretty poor case for your argument, but at least you're making it consistently :megalol::megalol::megalol: Let me ask you this. Where do you think this mod gets the information it displays on it's RWR? The server or the client?
  9. I keep seeing this thrown around by you here, and another guy on the Hoggit subreddit... How exactly will this make you a good pilot? I don't really think that a Mig-29 knowing an F-15 has him locked from his right side, as opposed to what we have now which is "A fighter plane has me locked from the right side" is going to make any bit of difference in anyone's pilot skills.
  10. Looks dope. Guess I'll need to boot up Prepar3d again and start flying the Tomcat more in preparation.
  11. This mod will definitely destroy DCS as we know it. It is far far far worse than the simple .lua tweaks that literally anyone can make to add phoenix missiles to their aircraft to shoot others down from 100nm away! OOOH THE HUMANITY! /s
  12. The real question is why isn't that missile traveling at 80,000 feet?
  13. For one payment of $1500, I'll make some killer videos and trailers. Mostly to build a new PC for the sole purpose of recording and streaming flight sims via 2 PC setup.
  14. That's because most people playing DCS are youngins getting their call of duty fix in the sky.
  15. I'm sorry, this info is inconsistent with secret russian documents.
  16. BFM is more of a feeling thing rather than a "he is diving, so I must do a turn." You can develop that feeling; some people are just good at it.
  17. Man this guy gets. Get your heads out of your cockpits for a change guys. Use your eyes. They're the best radar you have close up.
  18. I learned from this thread that just about every moron playing this game believes that carrier capable aircraft means that it can't land anywhere else that isn't a carrier. Also I love the people saying one Phantom variant looks ugly while they all fly around in arguably the most visually horrific aircraft ever made to the human eye, the warthog.
  19. Braking in the 109 is completely ****ed at the moment last I checked. 10 Km/h and apply full wheel brakes; you'll do a god damn front flip. Pretty savage that it's been a good five or six months with this issue too with nothing to show for it.
  20. This is the most important quote ever in the history of combat flight sim, specifically WWII.
  21. I think you underestimate the average simmer. While everyone likes action, of course, I think you'd be surprised at the amount of people who will sit down and fly a long range escort mission for three hours with no contact whatsoever. I can direct you to a certain F-16 sim in which people do it every day, and another WWII sim in which people sit down and fly patrols and escorts for five hours straight with no contact.
  22. The AI in DCS uses a SFM and damage model. It's why the P-51 in the hands of an AI pilot will continue to fly with zero performance loss after getting hit with five or so 30mm shells.
  23. fuk off toothless u bastard. OP, I pretty much only use STT to get the targeted aircraft to focus on me while my wingman swoops in from high above.
  24. It's a known issue. Probably a bug that has to do with abrupt manifold pressure changes. You'll experience it in the Dora pretty consistently when the ATA changes automatically at 3300m of altitude or so.
  25. I personally suspect it's something triggered by an abrupt change in manifold pressure. In the Dora when the ATA goes up at 3300m or whatever, it triggers. I can also trigger it in the Dora and 109 by slamming the throttle forward instantly. ED is hopefully doing something about it. But then again, the 109's brakes in DCS can still cause you to frontflip at 10km/h months and months later.
