  1. Thrustmaster no longer manufactures the boards for either the TQS or the stick. I am buying one of Miles boards. ... as soon as he has it available for shipment. I do notice the board sits lower on the mounting towers... suggestion ... u can purchase drain clear plastic hose and place around the towers...... use a washer to hold in place and use the screws to secure? Roland
  2. USE a lot of directed light Gents: I got everything to work while the TQS was open (not the buttons and that is another story) ...... calibrated nicely. CLosed TQS........ and no throttle control! Well here is what I did wrong: 1. Not enough light. I plugged in the button ribbon missing the entire top row of pins....... no buttons worked... naturally. 2. I did not pull the three wires connector for from the Miles' sensor away from the throttle....... well as soon as I closed the unit.... set the screws in.... the wires were damaged enough so no signal was getting through! Miles gave excellent directions.......... I just needed to follow them:<) I have contacted Miles to secure a new sensor........ CyStryker

  5. Gents: Just getting back into flight sims. I have the TM COUGAR HOTAS system. I am trying to use TARGET. How do you program/set up the Throttle Quadrant to control power/throttle? ... if sim uses either "+" or "-" or number settings......... I knew how to set up for Falon4, Battle of Britain using the programing b4 TARGET... many years ago. CyStryker
  6. Chivas: I was watching video of players using the OR latest version playing World of...... can not recall the full name ........ it is from the guys who released world of tanks....... the graphics were fine......... u could read the WWII cockpit instruments............ with six degrees of movement supported u can move your view closer to the cockpit panel in DCS A10 to read the instruments......... I want to read more about them before deciding to invest the funds now in a vr headset... I wil probably stick with my Trackr and flat monitor..... CyStryker
  7. I have been reviewing the available or .. soon to be available VR headsets. It appears Oculus Rift is best supported by flight sims.... It has a 100 degree fov by 100 degree fov with a frame rate of 90hz. I am upgrading to at least the 1070 or if I wait ... the 1080. I hope soon to upgrade my pots in my TM Cougar HOTAS as well. I checked out the World at ... something and the sim was nice......... I want to get back into DCS WWII sims... What would be a good cpu for the Oculus to max its performance.?? CyStryker
  8. Miles: Great news. I emailed u 4 info on pricing, payment and shipping... quick question... I forgot how to program the throttle for DCS flight sims....... can u refer me to a thread explaining how to do it.??? Roland CyStryker

  10. Hall Sensors Midori In service to the hobby:)
  11. Hall Sensors Midori It is October 9, 2015 I am convinced the Hall Sensors sold by Cubpilot and used with the Uber2Nxt are Midori QP-2HC single shaft. SOmeone stated on a thread and I will locate and reference herein.... that Pewatron out of Switzerland sells the HAll sensor... they do and on their spec sheet for the QP-2HC the manufacturer is listed as, "Midori" Check out Vlerkies, Mustang51 and Fakum's posts Roland
  12. Hippo: Good info. I was told by TM techs Cougar HOTAS could not install .. flash firmware on a WIndow 10 sys... must install the 2004 firware on a Win XP system.. which I did and it worked.... Where did the HOTAS In and OUT install? IN HID, Other devices... and in the Universal Serial bus controllers.. as mine did? Roland
  13. Cougar HOTAS on Windows 10 Is anyone using successfully Cougar Hotas on Windows 10 sys? if so can u tell me how to hook up the HOTAS to the Wind 10 sys? Roland
  14. Can anyone help ... I have win 10, I have HOTAS Cougar. I am using the 2007 drivers... Foxy recognizes the keys, hats etc ... I tried installing downloading a tjm file ... for controllers for DCS P51D..... I get nothing but throttle and Jystick no other hat nor key works.. Any ideas.......... I have been at this for over a month... TM is little help and slow as shit.. Roland
  15. HOTAS COUGAR Home Fries: I am finally getting back into Flight sims. I have the TM Cougar Hotas. I hope to locate the Hall Sensors so I can install with the Uber2Nxt hardware....in the flight stick. I installed the TM equipment after first flashing on a Windows XP SP2 system. I then took the HOTAS over to my WIndows 10 syst and installed the TM HOTAS following the directions for the 2007 firmware. It installed the In and Out in the Universal serial bus ... devices and not the HID section. Is this a problem? The drivers are shown as 2.0.3.0 2007. When I run Target .... It only shows the Cougar Flight stick........ that may be a problem? I am trying to use Target to start playing DCS and also IL-2 ClOD...... Is the place the In and OUt are installed a problem and if so... how do I change to the HID? Why aren't the TQ and rudders being shown... I have not installed the TM Elite RUdders nor the TM MFD s......... You did a lot of work...... without people like you these sims would die. Roland
  16. Wind10 and Cougar Hotas catseye: I have a similar problem with the Cougar.. I can download ... in Foxy .. a file into the Cougar but when I go into the DCS World my joystick can only provide flight control and the TQ throttle only. My "in" and "out" are in the "universal bUS ..." and not in the Human Interphase Devices file... tHE DRIVERS ARE 2.0.3.0 2007. I initially flashed the firmware 2004 version on a Wind XP SP2 system I recently rebuilt for that reason! When I installed the Throttle I received a message that the Cougar did not have firmware..... I allowed to install and it asked if I wanted to install in the Universal bus.................... Target does not even show the TQ but in one of th Foxy tests all buttons on the TQ and the throttle are recognized.... What I want to do is assign keys to each of the functions on the HOTAS and use in the DCS flight sims.......... it is not working in Il2-Clod... Any help would be appreciated. Roland
  17. ALL: How do yo enable tm Cougar Hotas system in game.......... I Can ONLY get the basic speed control of the TQ and flight (turns, climb) and views from the Cougar stick........ I have installed the Cougar sys in windows 10... interesting .. though ... the installation placed the "In" and "out" in the Universal Serial Bus file rather than the Human interphase Devices.. ? Could that be the problem and if so... how do I get the in and out drivers over to the HID ? I want badly to start playing this game.. first mod is going to be Dora 9 or.. the Me-109K... have not decided....:<) Roland
  18. Help... TM HOTAS and key assigment ALL: I finally was able to get my Cougar HOTAS working in game.. I only have use of Throttle and Cougar for flight and head views top hat.......... How do I use Foxy 4.2 bete to download into the HOTAS the desired keys for specific buttons/hats? Any help would be appreciated... Roland
  19. GEnts: I finally installed my TM Cougar HOTAS in WIndows 10. I downloaded a file and tried it out in IL2:ClOD ... not see the dwn'ld file. I want to start up in DCS flight sims but... I need to know how to set up and use the HOTAS within one of the flight games......... How do you install it so I can use my @$@W TM:<) Roland
  20. Gents: I received a schematic of the Hall Sensor allegedly used in the Uber II Nxt gimbals... But neither the schematic nor the U2 material I have state the diameter, depth of the larger whole which the Hall screws into and the width and depth of the hole the single rod goes into... You can tell and see the small hole is machined to allow the shaft to fit in securely without play... but the units .. the Halls are $100.00 each plus shipping... Rolan d
  21. Gents: I have just flashed the firmware into the Cougar...... on a WIndows XP system....... Tried b4.. but can not get the HOTAS to work in Win 10 system.. any ideas... Roland
  22. Gents: I have located a USA company that sells ... the Hall effect Sensors used in the Uber2Nxt mod... I am attempting to verify today.. How did you locate the builder of the uber2nxt... I thought he is just rebuilding his site to start production again...... I need to ask him to verify the Midori are the correct ones.......... QP-2H single shaft......... the shaft looks different than the ones shown at Cougar World... Let me know on the springs....... I just looked at my Uber2Nxt and it uses four springs........ Roland
  23. Lange-666 Could you ask him if the sensors must be position or angle and if the Midori Precisions are the correct Hall Sensor... Greatly appreciated. Midori responded to my inquire and will respond in full within 3 days... I will post reply. back when the Uber2Nxt was made the two Hall sensors were $100.00... not cheap.... Man I paid over $495.00 for the Uber2nxt... but it is a work of art:<) Roland
  24. Middori Hall Sensors Position or Angle Gents: Potential problem... My manual for the Uber2Nxt mod states the Hall sensors are "Position". The Midori I referenced ... although they have the same reference number of "QP-2H/QP-2HC" are "angle" sensors. What is the difference? They responded and told me they would respond in depth within 3 days... Monday.... Roland
  25. Midori Precisions Hall Sensors Gents: I have provided the site page of Midori Precision where the Hall sensors are available. they are the same referenced above in this thread. Check out Cougar.Foxy site ... photos of the CubPilot Hall Sensors used with the Uber2Nxt mod package for the Cougar... I am going to find out the price this afternoon... $100.00 each. Also... Pewatron out of Switzerland sells the same Hall sensors.. however, on the spec sheet for the QP-2HC (single shaft) the manufacturer is listed as Midori I hope this helps everyone improve the Cougars .... https://ssl.alpha-prm.jp/midori.co.jp/english/index.php/products/detail/7/roll Roland
