  1. I agree with you, I would have taken a look anyway because its so unclear what the thread is about, but that is just me. On the second page of this subforum there is actually also a thread called 'map size on disc'. Im just saying, that even a quick search would have gotten him his answer. Im not mad or anything, its just that its so easy and maybe someone else would not respond the way I did. I also did not mean 'to go at him', it was just a tip for the future, hence the smileys in the original message.
  2. Good point, but taking a look would take him one second of his life, it was literally almost at the top. But I answered his question and said that it was a small effort :)
  3. Yes you will, but you probably wont be able to get it for the $40 it is at right now.
  4. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=208761 Here it is, but no problem, it was a small effort for me :)
  5. An exact same thread was created six hours ago, I suggest looking at least a tiny bit before you ask ;) Map size is around 25.5 GB. You should be easily able to install it twice ;) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3451950&postcount=3
  6. You lot in Germany always have bloody holiday!
  7. Both on the Open Beta branch first, which is 2.5.1 at the moment.
  8. I could have done without those features and they could have released it today as far as Im concerned, but I get them and respect their decisions, atleast now we know when to torture our F5 button ;)
  9. This was posted yesterday on the official FB Page of DCS World. Its not going to be today for the Hornet. Best chance is Wednesday the 23rd and a week later the PG Map.
  10. The only thing that strikes me about this, is that you use a joke from The_Fragger as 'argument'. It's quite obvious that he did not realize that you were actually a woman and I get that that is exactly what you are trying to reach with this, that people actually consider that it might be a woman behind the keyboad, but I think its really unfair to publically expose a 3rd Party Developer like that.
  11. Absolutely! The Hornet is right at home in the Persian Gulf, its going to be awesome!
  12. Price is $39.99 at the moment and it will stay that way until it releases for Early Access which should be within two weeks, so if you want it for this price you do not have much time left. Nobody is able to tell for sure when its going to hit, so I'd get it rather early then late if I were you!
  13. Not sure if sceptical or dissappointed.. Oh well, your wish is my command. https://www.facebook.com/eagle.dynamics/
  14. Its not going to be tomorrow guys, sorry to derail the hype train.
  15. Am I blind or are the roundels correct?
  16. Definately more advanced then the training missions, and not really revolving around what buttons to push, but rather the correct procedures. For example, doing a rocket attack after a combat turn or doing a rocket attack after a loft maneuvre. Very interesting and quite pretty challenging!
  17. Thats one way to look it, but I think people will choose the Hornet for everything now and realize it can do everything but not as well as a Hog can do A2G etc. I myself will also primarily fly the Hornet but will definately not allow for dust to settle on my other modules :)
  18. Current capabilities are equal to the M2K, with the exception of the GBU-12 series, which the M2K can't use on its own properly. And, the F/A-18C can land on carriers, which makes it even more useful then a M2K ;) My two cents on the topic, I think people will fairly soon realize that being able to do 'a bit of everything' is not going to cut it. Depending on the scenario obviously, you can't just fully complete it with only Hornets. It might be able to kill of some air targets and then do some ground pounding, but it won't have that much of an impact on the overall mission progress.
  19. Im telling you the Community Managers have orders to dehype the community :D
  20. I would like to add that Chuck's Guide can help you a great deal in understanding the full fidelity modules. Combined with the manual that comes with the module of your chosing you shouldnt have a super hard time. It takes some time and practice, but you will get there eventually, and these guides can really help you understand faster! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765
  21. It's always difficult to find the true meaning and tone behind a piece of text on a forum, stuff like this happens. In the end (even though I knew myself and also fly OB all the time) I agree with you that it should just say 'available for download at the end of Spring 2018 on the 2.5 Open Beta', so that new pilots, whom are definately coming now that the F-18 is very close, know exactly what they can expect. Just a friendly piece of feedback for the amazing ED Team
  22. Welcome to the Owners Club :)
  23. You do, I do not have my sources ready at the moment, but I am 100% sure there is going to be a payware carrier DLC. The carrier that you are seeing in press release videos is an updated free carrier for everyone that will probably come when the Hornet goes into Early Access.
  24. Thats assuming that ED is actually simulating that. At the moment it is not simulated at all in DCS and all aircraft base it purely on the coalition the contact is in.
