  1. Thanks for your reply. I am not able to show the rendering error in a screenshot because the problem is the not matching picture of the left and right eye in the HMD. Some of the trees (about 10 percent) have a reverse lighting in the left and right eye (left half of the tree is rendered dark, right half of the tree is rendered bright for the left eye. For the right eye it is rendered vice versa: left half of the tree bright and right half of the tree dark. The resulting effect is quite uncomfortable. This is with the standard setting stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = false With the work in progress setting stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true this problem does not show up (I do not use it regulary, I just tested the setting to check if the render error is related) I did not have this rendering artifact in the previous open beta with the standard settings. Hope this helps.
  2. If the low framerates are also a problem without VR. Who shall fly on this map yet?
  3. It is inaccurate without controlling. Controlling is the real deal. There are variants of this weapon that are true fire and forget if I am correct. But these are not in DCS modelled.
  4. In VR it is very difficult to see the targeting recticle.
  5. No it is not flipped: while the trees look much better and dont flimmer with setting true, the deck personal is still not rendered correctly with true. Looking forward to further development of the shared parser option.
  6. [EDIT: This happens only on my Reverb, not on my Oculus Rift CV1] I get lots of rendering artifacts (for example with trees) with: stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = false much better with: stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true Shouldn't it be expected the other way round. Perhaps the settings are flipped? (Did not have this rendering artifacts in the previous open beta with the untouched graphics.lua) (By the way not much of a performance difference noticed yet between the two settings.)
  7. I have a solution. Play at PD 0.5. ;-) The channel performance is really not good in VR.
  8. Ich sehe bei meinem Monitor auch die Ränder.
  9. P.S.S Besides the necessary training the most important factor I missed up until now was the need to trim your plane for altitude. Just finished my first successfull refueling of the F18. :-)
  10. ... or after a GIVEN TIME ... -> Why :joystick: (especially if I am really just ready for contact) Is there any mission editor workaround to stop this behaviour? P.S. There are no pages about air refuling in the F-18 Doc right now. I am relieved it is not yet implemented for the F-18, I do not need to master it. :smilewink:
  11. I prefer my Reverb to the Varjo, even at the same price. But I like their developer spirit.

    fpsVR

I will try fpsVR hotkeys and report back :-) And I spent happily the few quid to tweak my experience to the max ;-) It is a nice app, that works as advertised.
  13. Wireless is nice, but my sessions last many hours. I prefer a light cable over a heavy accumulator.
  14. A good work around for the heavy and stiff Gen 1 cable is routing it over a drawer, your desk, or another object of appropriate size on your side. This works very well for me. A better cable for Gen 2 is most welcome.

I spent a lot of time. I dont spend time anymore. Now I fly and enjoy VR. :-)
  16. I am not alone :-) ;-)
  17. No, the US decomissioned it ;-) actually ... (ask Mr. Ketchup)
  18. HP Reverb it is cheaper than a Rift S right now ;-) If you are afraid of RX 5700 XT performance, you can downsample rendering resolution quite a bit (and still have a better image than the Rift S). If you can buy a Rift S for a normal price, than sure go for it.
  19. 1. Singleplayer 2. Multiplayer 3. Musicplayer I love to fly low and fast at treetop height while listening to my favourite music. Some maneuvers to the beat and I cant stop flying till I fall asleep ;-)
  20. Titanwolf flight stick seems to be a good stick for 50 bucks (with hall sensors).
  21. You can have a lot of fun with a 1080Ti and a Reverb/Reverb G2.
  22. VKB Gladiator MK II Best Joystick under 100 bucks Very enjoyable device
  23. @drack: You changed only the shadows for the Nevada Map.
  24. Perhaps a newbie friendly version of the through the inferno missions would do the job?
  25. Thanks for sharing. Amazing VR Setup.
