  1. Thanks @Trigati for some reason wouldn’t accept my link. Ok @Kurnass1977 you should be set now.
  2. Hi @CH4Pz Could you send me a track please. Cannot understand why some but not all are getting this issue. Are you running any mods? Also are you carrying out the exercise as the tips video above? When you successfully press the trigger Ford says something like “ Right, now all I need is to hold it” Did you get that? Never had the problem myself as you can see on the tips video. A track will really help, thanks for the heads up, I will get it sorted.
  3. Hi @Kurnass1977 Go to e shop, select campaign under type and you will see it. Let me know if you cannot find it.
  4. Hi, @KingAhDaRIng Firstly make sure you are not running any mods. You need to set your lazer to trigger and pull your trigger in fully when he says ‘fire lazer’. I have a Tips Video of this exercise. It is here. (Spoiler Alert for pilots who have not yet flown mission) there is a link below. Make sure you follow as the video. If you get the problem again if you could send me the track that would be very useful. Thanks.
  5. @DaleHawerchuk To be honest don’t think it is you. The instruction Ford gives, if I remember, is to break climbing to the left of Red 1, Matrix will follow you. You don’t need to be really close to Red 1 just between him and the Red to his left. Thanks. Edit: Checked it through and Reds did not crash this end. Fly it again to see if it was just a one off AI glitch.
  6. Hi @DaleHawerchuk As long as you exited the break straight ahead to the left of red1 you wouldn’t have caused this. Not had this before, and it’s not been highlighted by the testers. That should never happen anyway as the AI should avoid each other, but we are dealing with the AI here. Thanks for the pics, looks like the left red arrow has not entered the break correctly? If you get a chance can you run it again and if it happens again send me the track? that would really help. Also let me know if it doesn’t happen again. Glad you have enjoyed the campaigns so far and thanks for the heads up, they really help me plug any issues.
  7. @paulw10 you know what they say about landings you can walk away from.
  8. INTRODUCTION As the evening sun transformed into a glowing orange sphere balanced on the shimmering horizon, sharp black silhouettes of exotic palms smoothly, slowly, and silently drifted by as if on rails. The USS Abraham Lincoln gently but purposely eased its way North through the narrow Egyptian waters. They had just left Ismaila and had a further 50 miles before they would leave the Suez Canal and emerge into the Mediterranean via Port Said. The crews’ excitement was palpable, today the Admiral had declared a rare ‘Rest and Relaxation’ Day. The deck, or ‘Roof’ as it was known, was for once empty of hardware and instead full of crew members, some seeing daylight for the first time in weeks. The official protective clothing had gone and in its place a rainbow of leisure and sports gear. Some were exercising, some jogging, some with their tops off enthusiastically playing games, and some just standing, absorbing the beauty of a tropical sunset. As the shadows slowly stretched their fingers along the deck, the evening sky took on a crimson hue with just a hint of high-level cloud, silver wisps free in the upper winds. As the deck emptied and grew quiet Lieutenant Scott Waters, call sign ‘Ford’, standing on the edge watched the setting sun, he turned to his Wing Lieutenant Lee Anderson, call sign ‘Matrix’, “It doesn’t get much better than this my friend”, “Copy that skipper, it’s beautiful, we really needed this R&R after the Gulf, big time” he responded. “That’s an affirm, think we had both had enough by the end”. Flash back images of the final night hop over Bandar Abbas still vivid in their minds, the blinding flashes and explosions of triple A, the searing trails of AMMRAMs, Migs falling to earth like exploding meteors and the jubilation as their AGM65 Foxtrot missile found its target, and ‘Asad’ the IRCG Commander in Chief, obliterated in the ball of flame as it impacted, lighting up the hills for a mile around. Since then, with the collapse of the IRCG, the Gulf had become quiet once more. The USS Harry S Truman was now fully repaired, after its surprise attack by an Iranian submarine, and was now able to formally relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln as originally planned. Matrix had been desperate for a period of R&R, a fact which he reminded everyone on board who would listen, on a daily basis, and so secretly had Ford, although he would never admit it. The morale of the whole crew lifted as the Abraham Lincoln steamed back to its home in San Diego, even taking in a harbour stop on its way. It was, as they were passing South of Yemen, the signal landed from high command. The Admiral announced over the crackling speaker, “Things have changed”, he would immediately be setting course for Cyprus via the Suez Canal. It is late May 2016 and the U.S. as part of an international force are busy executing a war with ISIS in Syria within a complex cauldron of proxy forces. This, surprisingly, not the reason for the diversion to the Mediterranean. It has come as a request to the United States Government from NATO in connection with a developing situation in Cyprus. There had always been friction in Cyprus between the Greek and Turkish Cypriots. This, culminating in a full Turkish invasion in 1974 which secured almost half the island. The situation rapidly became a blood bath, the worlds governments and United Nations quickly became involved and brokered a peace settlement. This achieved by partitioning the island into two halves, the Greek Cypriots to the Southwest and the Turkish Cypriots to the Northeast. Separating the two is a wide strip of no man’s land operated by the United Nations extending from Larnaca Bay to the Northwest of the island passing through the capital city of Nicosia. This boundary now known locally as ‘The Green Line’. Over the last few months there has been insurgent/ terrorist activity on each side of the Green Line. These events growing in number and severity. The Greek and Turkish governments are both pointing the finger at each other and at the same time denying any involvement, relations are quickly deteriorating. To prevent a possible and embarrassing military action between two NATO members, both the United Nations and NATO have requested that the USS Abraham Lincoln move into the area. Its objectives are to monitor the situation, make its presence known and so defuse the current situation. Captain R L Ravelo of the USS Abraham Lincoln has christened this, ‘OPERATION GREEN LINE’.
  9. This campaign is based on fictitious events and follows on from "Ford" and "Matrix's" exploits in the Straits of Hormuz on board the USS Abraham Lincoln in the "Rise of the Persian Lion II" Campaign. Although operations commence in Cyprus, much to "Fords" surprise, events will soon reach out to Turkey, Syria, Israel, and Jordan, testing both your flying accuracy and strike capabilities in the F/A-18C Hornet. Even though the story line continues from the last campaign, "Operation Green Line" can be fully enjoyed as a standalone. The campaign ethos, as before, is not necessarily to capture full reality but create an imaginative, immersive, and engaging set of missions linked together with a developing narrative. Key Features: 12 Detailed totally different missions linked by an ongoing story line encompassing Cyprus, Turkey, Syria, Israel, and Jordan. Both Carrier and land-based operations. As before, the campaign has been developed in VR so there is no requirement to physically write down disappearing coordinates which break immersion. Incorporation of optional Tanker refueling in some missions, but if fuel is carefully managed and tasks completed efficiently, all missions can be completed without Tanking. Over 1,700 voice overs provided by voice artists. "Speed Stop" feature, so nothing is missed if the pilot accelerates time. Missions 9 to 12 allow you to decide the AI abilities to match your experience. Default is Veteran. Detailed briefs for each mission, in game, and in PDF. Kneeboards for each mission plus PDF versions for printing, if required. Personalised aircraft skins. Additional Campaign ‘Tips Videos’ available for some of the missions here under Operation Green Line playlist. (Spoiler Alert) https://youtube.com/@badger633?si=DXyAkEhD4u-FigTh
  10. It has become clear that in the EZ refuel version of this campaign the Mission 12 being used was not the correct EZ Refuel version. This has now been fixed in current update. Unfortunately the only way to fix this is a rebuild of the campaign file. This means the next time you start the EZ Refuel campaign you will get a rebuild notice and told that you have lost your progress. Simply skip to your current mission and progress as normal. Apologies but this was the only way to fix it. The normal version of the campaign is unaffected in any way.

  12. @cm2 Glad you enjoyed.
  13. Hi @Roosterfeet Glad you enjoyed them, that’s what it’s all about. I will remove enforce turbulence from the campaigns and give the choice. Won’t be able to do it for the upcoming update though it will have to be the next.
  14. Thanks @rosty I will have to look into it. I know it is set up correctly for ACLS in the missions. I will see if it’s the wake turbulence that is causing it, which it shouldn’t. On this campaign I have turbulence enforced. This was before it was impacting ACLS for some reason. I never use ACLS myself , just change my shorts after I land I will look into it maybe stop the enforce turbulence in this campaign to resolve this. In my new campaign Operation Green Line, which follows on from Rise of the Persian Lion 2, I have not enforced turbulence for this and another reason. Thanks for the reminder.
  15. Hi @rob10, I had mentioned this but not as clearly as you have, thanks. You’re right it is a common mistake, and so I do cover it in the brief notes. @mla306 I will still check it out when I get time in case it is something else, but @rob10 is probably right. Make sure you read the brief notes prior to the missions, I try to make them as short as possible but they do include essential info like this issue. Must admit I never use the automatic carrier landing system but the mission is set up for it correctly. I have noted from some the system does seem a bit hit or miss sometimes.
  16. Easy Comms must be off in most campaigns.
  17. Hi @mla306 I will check this out. Checked the settings in the mission script, they are all correct. You’re the first to have this issue. So you cannot make radio contact with the Carrier before landing. Assume you are using the correct talk button for Radio 1, also are you running any mods. A track would be really useful. Thanks
  18. Hey @eFirehawk You will need the Syria map for the upcoming ‘Operation Green Line Campaign’. This includes Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, Jordan and of course Israel, at least the parts required in the campaign that is. Also the Hornet and Super Carrier modules which you will have if you have flown the Rise of the Persian Lion campaign's. Glad to hear you enjoyed the other campaigns.
  19. Hey @eFirehawk Thanks for the kind words, they are much appreciated. Hope you enjoy the campaigns. I have a new campaign ready to be released. ‘Operation Green Line’. This follows on from ‘Rise of the Persian Lion 2 and continues Ford’s exploits in Cyprus, Turkey, Syria, Israel and Jordan. Just waiting when ED decides to release it.
  20. Hi @NamelessGhoul Will check this out. Your correct the fuel should not be reducing. I did reduce the amount at the start as some pilots said due to the new undercarriage modelling they were getting problems landing on the Abe with the larger static weight. Don’t understand why the fuel is reducing though. I will get back to you. Are you running any mods? EDIT @NamelessGhoul You were correct. When Mission 6 and 7 were last updated to reduce the weight of Ford it appears the unlimited fuel setting was lost. It's now been corrected and will be out in the next update. Thanks for the heads up.
  21. HI @Shurik75 Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. I just checked both M12 normal and EZ refuel. Both opened with no problem and did not close down immediately. What do you mean by immediately i.e. is it instant without you doing anything? Are you using Open Beta? I cannot check in Stable as I do not use it and would suggest using Open beta. I don't think the issue is with the mission file, as I can open ok, but may be some sort of corruption to your campaign progress listing in DCS. Must admit don't know how to resolve such an issue although some people have mentioned it in the past. Maybe reset the campaign start the first mission then close it and skip to 12 to see if that helps. Cheers
  22. Totally understand how the MODEX issue would grate with your background. Glad that was a typo Thanks for the update. Always appreciate feedback though as it’s the only way we can make things better Cheers.
  23. Hey @AMEDooley Thanks for your thoughts they are appreciated. By way of explanation we have a few comments below. This campaign follows on from Serpent's Head 2. The suite of campaigns Serpent's Head, Serpent's Head 2 , Rise of the Persian Lion and Rise of the Persian Lion 2 have been designed to become more difficult as each campaign progresses. This allowing pilots to progress smoothly rather than hitting a brick wall and giving up. Many have reported this has helped them learn the Hornet step by step. It's always a difficult balance where to pitch a campaigns difficulty. It's the easiest thing in the world to make a mission almost impossible even for the most accomplished pilot. The problem is, what is a great challenge for one, is impossible for another, to the point of them giving up. It's a difficult one, that's why we have added more difficulty as the campaigns progress. Our latest campaign, "Operation Green Line", which has yet to be released, allows the player to select the experience level of the AI at the beginning of each mission, so hopefully goes some way to deal with this issue. ( Even then though what appears to be a good balance on release can become too easy or to difficult when DCS updates updates the AI as they do from time to time, but not much we can do about that, only monitor pilots comments as time goes by.) We have set out in the 'details' of the campaign in e shop campaign description that we have not tried to capture reality so explains why we have not tried to cover the MODEXs etc as you have suggested. Noted your comments on the last mission, so checked it out to see if we needed to adjust it. The brief document does cover the meeting and explains "There will be vehicles, buses and troops evident in the right location". the right location having some 16 vehicles and coaches and troops. Also checked the script. If you get the location wrong you do not get an immediate fail but there is a prompt, " Are you sure about that". Only if you confirm a second time do you get a mission fail. This being the case as it could not be a deduction of points as finding and attacking the site of this important high level meeting is really the point of the mission, and the campaign for that matter. Must admit thought description of the voice acting as 'awful' was a bit harsh but do respect everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Thanks again for your comments, as we said, they are appreciated and we will always keep them in mind when carrying out improvements and creating future campaigns. Cheers Badger633
  24. Latest revision adds Speed Stop. If time is accelerated it will stop when the next voice message occurs so you will not miss anything. Available in user Files.
