  1. Here some in game screenshots of the finished clean skin. The fuel tanks will be replaced with the standard texture.
  2. This is a small preview of the clean version. So far I have the albedo textures ready, so now the RoughMets are following. The weathered version will also see some improvements again, specifically the tail. A few rivets were sticking out a bit too much.
  3. Today the skin has been updated. The changes include new RoughMet textures which don't interfere with the AO layer anymore. The strength of the dry water or dirt spots is now reduced by a bit. I'm currently working on a clean version. I'll be aiming for a release tomorrow or on the weekend!
  4. That's quite nonsense, and a rude attitude. In my view, editing a .lua in that sense, doesn't fall under the modification category. It is clearly a feature to have the ability to completely remove pylons, change bort numbers or change pilot helmet visors for a certain skin via the .lua. Since it's there for you to make us of it. If we change the numbers of flare/chaff carried via a .lua it isn't a base-game feature but a modification. Although it represents a realistic option and is included within the base game? Removal of pylons in the Mission Editor is just as well controlled with lua files. If we change the aircrafts loadout options (new weapons) that obviously is an unrealistic change and a modification. The problem here is that changing the visor texture, or removing the JHMCS by replacing it with a bungee visor, is transparent. Such visors vary in color and transparency which makes it difficult to decide whether that's realistic or not. So in other words is it worth a fix or not. It is a bug if the visor color is incorrect, not realistic. A very small detail but bugs need to be reported no matter how insignificant they are, and for a texture artist this is considered a bug.
  5. Since I'm still working on them I haven't shared the files with anyone. If or when these textures will be available at some point, I'm not sure yet.
  6. Yes, this is Grinnellis F-22A Community Mod. It looks a lot more different because I use custom textures which add a lot more detail while trying to get lightning or reflection effects for the RAM coating.
  7. Here I'm trying to give the engines more detail by using the textures of the "new" Su-34 model and adjust them to fit.
  8. This is not an easy process. You will need to edit RoughMet or Specular and in some cases the Diffuse textures to remove the shade and reflection of the pylons. For the Su-27 template you need to remove the shadows from the occlusion layer. For a quick fix, you can just paint it over with the white color. If you want to edit a specific skin and you don't have that skin template at hand, editing is still possible, but at some point too complicated. I would suggest contacting the skin creator. The Su-27 uses Specular textures instead of RoughMet textures and there is no shade visible, so these don't need to be edited.
  9. Here it is, ready for JSGME installation. Otherwise follow the folder path and switch the files. This mod allows you to remove specific pylons in the loadout menu in the Mission Editor, like on the F/A-18C or F-16C. Su-33 Clean.zip
  10. I have a mod to remove the pylons, it is the same procedure as with any other modules in the loadout menu in the ME. I will share it later.
  11. The updated T-10M-711 skins are now available. Download
  12. Hello everyone! The T-10 skins all together reached a huge amount of downloads, so many thanks for that! I plan to revisit and update the T-10M skin series since they aged a bit over the years. Today I started with probably the most famous airframe of this series, the T-10M-711 or also known as the Su-37 Super Flanker or Terminator. I made minor improvements and fixes all over the aircraft. Most importantly I adjusted the colors, this has always been tricky. I tried to use real color codes with little adjustments and I believe the current results are the most accurate. The nose area received more detail as well, panel lines and rivets have been added. watermanpc's RoughMet textures are going to be included. There will also be multiple versions which vary in nose colors and number lettering on the engine intakes. This is what you will get, any feedback is appreciated!
  13. Hello everyone! I'm making this post to share my most recent video. It's a 15 minute long story driven cinematic, the big key about it this time, it has no music playing over it. Originally I didn't plan for a 15 minute long video but this is it now. Since the sounds in DCS got quite an improvement over the past few years I instead just went for the plain audio and sounds of jet aircraft while delivering their ordnance. I know you might say, you can't see anything and the quality is pretty lame. What you see up on your monitor as you're recording will look drastically different on YouTube in quality terms. I'm also not able to provide more than 1080p, especially at this length, please excuse this. Anyways I want to point out, during night attacks you're enemy isn't supposed to see you, so listen carefully! Although video quality is not that great, it gave me a ton of goosebumps, perhaps you can view it as this as well!
  14. Most of the time, it's not working as it is supposed to be, but there are chances it will work for a couple minutes.
  15. To my knowledge, the team responsible for integrating more skins to the Hornet is busy with other tasks. This info is a few months old though. As long as some of the helmet textures of certain liveries aren't fixed, you shouldn't expect any more skins to come.
  16. That's a lot of great work. They look awesome!
  17. I have done some further adjustments to the RoughMet textures to give it more detail and a more realistic look. Important to note, I use a new/custom skin with adjusted colors and weathering details added on to get a complete result. Current progress so far:
  18. Please explain that to me, it doesn't make sense to me.
  19. Usually you should give new changes some time and give it a chance to adapt. But right now I would go for the old forum all the way, by far.
