  1. Yes I remember this one. A childhood favorite of mine. Although it was an old movie in my childhood, unlike many of the forum members apparently :D
  2. Will be praying for you. Glad you're still with us!
  3. I can understand that balancing WWII thru modern eras work wise must be hard. I don't have any problem with the way ED is handling that. My beef is the delay of 2.5 because when the Nevada map came out I wanted to wait so that I wouldn't have 2 installs. They said the merger was the priority so I thought firsthalf of 2016. Then they said more features will come and it will be here by the end of the year. I could live with that. But now we only can guess when it will be out and it looks like I'm going to miss out on Normandy too for a while... But it is what it is.... IMO they should have merged the old map into the new version and replaced it when the new caucuses was ready. Seems like the framework is hinged on the bells and whistles and not the other way around.... but ED probably has the full story...
  4. I need to experiment to know for sure but wouldn't the helmet cockpit sounds remedy the "sound radar" problem? Kinda off topic but I'm just curious.....
  5. Lol i know right?! I liked watching that stuff when I was a young kid.
  6. I know there are a lot of falcon fans here but guys... the A-10C FA-18C F-14 M-2000C Typhoon With only the outdated Mig-21 for Russia, this is what the line up will look like in DCS. Don't you think it would be best for the community to have a Russian fighter like the 29? Assuming they could get enough data...
  7. Pretty much my personal feeling on it too though :D
  8. As much as I like f-16s, a fulcrum if able to be done would be good for the Russian part of the community I would think. Of course data for it might still be hard to come by. So if done it probably wouldn't be an outright match for the updated hornet we will be getting.
  9. DCS: John Deer confirmed!!!
  10. Um.... while the Phoenix missle isn't an end all argument, I would think that its crazy range would at least make it viable.... i mean when we say modern in DCS it's not like we are going up against f-22s and the like...
  11. Read the second quote in his post.
  12. Delaying it from 2016 isn't the issue, I understand what a forcast/estimate means. Shifting priorities is the issue.
  13. No I thought they were the experts, which is why I thought when they said over and over that 2.5 was priory that was the way it would be. I thought when they said their priority was getting rid of the dual version thing they meant it because it made sense.... Not that they aren't experts, it's just that everything being subject to change gets old after so many delays...
  14. Ugh............. So now 2.5 isn't priority... instead Normandy and Nevada (and who knows how long till those are out of beta/alpha) and then 2.5 (which based on this newsletter is at MINIMUM 2 months more work once they get back to it). So much for merging dual versions. And so much for the people who have waited a year because they don't want dual versions. Because now they will be missing out on Normandy too....... I really need to get into a virtual squadron or something so I don't go into depression lol.
  15. Where did you find that it has IR for terminal? I don't see it....
  16. !!! Whoa what? .... forget the need to dogfight then... (Jk)
  17. Usually when comparing military might nowadays you leave out nuclear ICBMs. Mainly because if those are brought to the table then forget the carrier groups, all the nations involved just get wiped out.
  18. Yes those are the aircraft you start with
  19. Posted this a few weeks back in the screens and video section but didn't post it in the P-51D video thread.
  20. LOL I literally thought that "why is he posting a random picture in the news discussion thread? Oh wait....." That looks amazing! Mabye some of the concerns of model visibility will be addressed with the reflections like that!
  21. Definitely not meaning any offense by this but... how hard can it be to make the newsletter?
  22. Dart boards!!!!! ROTF!!!!!!!!!! Order now and get a bobble head wags! :D
  23. From my understanding of stealth, it decreases the range a radar can detect you at. The nighthawk as awesome as it is, was the first of its kind in the stealth it had. It's not a raptor.
  24. :megalol::megalol::megalol:
  25. Couldn't agree more! I read once that big volcanos like Krakatoa put more toxins into the ozone layer/atmosphere than all of what mankind has done in history. And that wasn't the only volcano that did that. And yet.... emissions are made the priority by many. I'm all for efficiency, but I'm also for realistic figures.
