Don't think the radio menu would be that cumbersome tbh, many people use it successfully to make their AI wingmen preform very well. If it is too cumbersome for you then you could get that fancy voice attack software and do it via speech. ;) As for me, I will be looking for someone to be my RIO or vice versa.

Ok thanks, I was just wondering what all that was about. As far as the Phoenix goes, I think it will be simple. Some people will be scared of it, and when it is released they will be relieved to see it's not as bad as they thought. Other people will think it's only good for bombers and, with no respect for the missile, will get blown out of the sky over 60 nm away.

I know that there was a time when missiles were turning way too hard to intercept, but I don't really notice amraams doing that much anymore. Can someone please explain to me what is so wrong with AAMs a the moment? Are these concerns actually based in facts and figures?

Don't mind these guys :D I don't think we will see a new kind of Phoenix missle, but as far as a replacement for its role as a long range missile the US is developing new stuff. There is a planned variant on the amraam which would add a ramjet, which I assume would add significant range. The new D model amraam has a significant boost in range and is getting close to what the Phoenix could do. Combined with modern jammers, the effective range isn't much different (at least that's what I would think)

would be horrible, for 2.5 to go from looking good for coming out by the end of 2016, to maybe the end of 2017....... This update, lets not forget, is DCS World 2 but with more features that they keep adding which keeps pushing it out. I certainly hope that ED are able to get this update out well before the end of this year. :cry:

Are you on a private server or public? I might hop on, I plan on getting the viggen when it is out for the release version. But if you are in Russia my ping might be horrible....

In multiplayer it depends on the settings of the server. On the burning skies server, they use labels to put a small dot on planes. How to turn that on is found in the server rules or briefing. Outside of multiplayer, their are model enlargement settings. It's up to you to test them to see which setting is most realistic for your monitor. Hope that helps!

I don't have a rift, but i can tell you that the distortion which was mentioned above from glasses is not there with contacts. Besides the difficulty of getting used to putting them in, contacts are superior in almost every way IMO. This comes from years of me using glasses with strong lenses and then going to contacts. So i would be willing to bet that the issues mentioned with glasses are non-existent with contacts.

Good post, but your're still scary Sithspawn :D I don't do it perfect myself, but if everyone treated others the way they would want to be treated, it would solve most problems. Otherwise yes, a very good community compared to many.

Yes hopefully this will be included with the Hornet and Tomcat so that we can take advantage of their 2 engine survivability.

That's good to hear but that raises the question what about the modern aircraft?
