  1. Fantastic, thanks for your prompt responses Andre, great service! I look forward to using the seat
  2. Excellent, thanks for your reply and picture. Just one more question, is there any difference between the KW-908 "Air" and the "TurboJet"? They look the same, and both have 8 motors.
  3. Purchased, thanks Andre! So happy you ship to Australia :) Still expecting to ship in February? What sort of power adapter ships with the Jetseat? I need to make sure I buy the right converter for Australian sockets.
  4. I'm looking for something to control with my left hand, for tracking and clicking cockpit switches. I'm right handed and have to keep moving my hand off the control stick. What do people use with their left hand? (That's what she said) ;)
  5. Finally got to try the Spitfire module. Simply, amazing work! I have a question: Is airframe stress modelled? I can make some extremely tight turns, blackout, but the aircraft seems unaffected. I'm sure the turning performance is correctly modelled, it just surprised me. Was it really that good? Observations: - The 190 feels like I feel when I ice skate; confident until I have to turn, then its lots of gritted teeth and nervous adjustments. The 109 is a thoroughbred; it constantly demands attention and tuning. The Spit flies lightly and effortlessly, it just loves to stay aloft - you can put it into a spiraling climb and even with a low airspeed, it just climbs and climbs. - Feels uniquely 'British' in the cockpit - "wobble" pumps, thoughtful and proper warning labels, lots of pneumatic levers that hiss like a steam engine. It's all happily quaint. - Roll performance is better than expected, especially at medium/high speed where I thought it would be worse than the 109 - level speed disadvantage is not much of an issue in practice. - That elliptical wing! great at all speeds, a little slow in a dive. - Its form and flying qualities capture a sense of freedom and optimism. I can see why it's so loved by its pilots.
  6. Definitely a frame rate issue. In situations where I get an even 120fps with all other modules tested, I get 80fps with the Viggen. Note that this is only in cockpit, the external view maintains 120fps. Note that this occurs both in flight, and cold/dark. 40fps is a pretty substantial difference, which is why I'm mentioning it.
  7. So it looks like I will be without the net for another week or two at least. Is there any way to download all the installation files for beta 1.5.6 as a package, store them locally, then use the DCS Updater locally, rather than having it use the Internet. I'm wanting to take my mac laptop to a family members house, download the files, then copy the files to my pc and install. I have a sim rig so it's not easy to just take my PC over to someones house. No internet is killing me.
  8. Wise words. However I spent the last month practicing takeoff/landings in the 109... I guess I have no excuse for botching a flareless carefree landing in the Viggen then ;) Lol Vitormouraa

  10. So tomorrow morning I'm getting Internet connected in our new house for the first time in two months, and I own both the Spit and Viggen. Which to try first? Now THAT'S a real problem ;)
  11. That's great news Andre! I plan to order in the next couple of months :)
  12. Hi Andre, do you ship your KW-908 to Australia?
  13. OP - what's your monitor refresh rate? 60? I run a 120hz monitor and get stuttering with anything above or especially below 120fps. Evident when using TrackIR. Are you using TrackIR? If so, try disabling it and see if that improves stuttering.
  14. Amazing video. But take some downtime, Nick! I thought i was the only one working on NYE ;)
  15. 2.0 is more than just the NTTR map itself - the T5 tech is much kinder to my system than the current Caucasus.
  16. Excellent, thanks :)
  17. Was the event recorded for those of us in different time zones?
  18. Take your time Nick and team, we appreciate the hard work. get it to the point you're happy with for release. And make sure you spend time with families over Christmas / New Year :)
  19. That's a good point about the mountains, if it was a texture issue it would impact the mountain region as well I would have thought. I wish I knew more about how the engine works :)
  20. From memory, the older terrain technology in Caucasus does not scale dependent on distance from the camera. This is why performance is better with NTTR - everything is scaled in quality as it move further from the camera. I'm not sure how the level of detail system is calculated, but the result is higher frame rates and the ability to render Las Vegas without compromising performance too much. The trade off is less quality in the distance. This is my basic understanding of how it works. A compromise that allows for better performance and more map detail.
  21. It's a strange situation and I can't pinpoint when the stuttering started. But it's consistent, I will record a video showing the frame rate counter spiking heavily. I have a gtx1070, so not sure what is causing it. Maybe it's more noticeable because I have a gsync monitor, but the stuttering is not happpeninf with any other module.
  22. Yes, I have the same problem with the MiG-21. Stutter, regardless of framerate (2.0.4). I can confirm it only happens with the 21. All other modules are fine.
  23. @Cobra, The model and texturing looks amazing, but how will this affect performance? Will the system requirements be higher than the MiG-21? Or is it also really well optimized? Thank for all of your hard work!
  24. Good to know, yes I think we're in the same time zone. I'm not that familiar with Twitch, so good to know there is a record feature :)
