And reasonable assumptions and suppositions based on public knowledge on the subject of EW. It doesn't have to work exactly like IRL on aircraft XY. Just continue the known concepts and the more modern the more efficient. Other games/sims already do it this way to some extent, even if it's not perfect, the scope is unfortunately already more complex than is currently the case with DCS.

I wonder if this is really the case in the real F18C and what the reasons for this are. Or whether there could be a menu item so that Alt is always displayed on the SA. This is basically one of the biggest disruptive factors in the F18 for me. In the F16, I have an immediate overview of the situation from 30 contacts on the SA page. In the F18 I have to click on everything or step through, hell that's an enormous amount of work and time waste .

For the F-4E pre-DMAS? Not that I am aware. The paragraph refers mainly to Lau-88A having the special ability. Our F4 currently only has Lau-88. I don't think it was necessarily dependent on the F4 but rather the Lau version. I would post an excerpt from the manual here later, it is one of the F4 books and is also partly used in the DCS F4 manual.

yep that's it. I think the SA15 has switched off and the AGM88 immediately flies to the wrong one.

This has been reported since the PB, EOM and RUK modes were released. the harm goes active too early, which causes this behavior. actually it should be 20nm before the TGT Point with RUK PB 10-15nm and EOM 5-10nm but this is not the case i think it is always 40nm before the target and the footprint is always too big

I think the problem is also that the boom is not physically simulated. Imagine the boom holds you in position very subtly or even slows you down

yep but the window is much smaller, as I said. i took control and just changed the timing a bit, and the missile then hits the fast-rolling target. before the 15m update, the missile almost always flew past. i think that the exploit has been reduced a lot, so that it is no longer a problem. and also thanks to @Chizh for looking in and listening to our arguments. For my taste, it has become much better, especially Missile with a lot of energy is a real threat. At least in my tests. Is it still possible? Yes it is, but the crucial point in my opinion is that the risk is now far too high to use the exploit and that you are now more likely to be forced to Turn out. Before it was 95% or so to dodge a missile with 2-3M. But I'm curious to see what your results are.
