AN/AAQ-33 (Sniper pod) vs. other pods in DCS
Hobel replied to Gierasimov's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
in Short This thing will be fully OP Basically, the zoom and possibly the resolution will be much better and other functions that are still missing in the current TGP will be further developed. But the feature that differs the most could be the multi-target track up to 10 targets at the same time, basically similar to the Apache and the Tads where there are fewer. these are basic functions that the Sniper in the irl F-16 has. -
I know I only mentioned what the further consequence of this is.

For this reason, ripple fire from the Lau-88A is currently not possible. You can briefly see how the other missile glitches from the target when you press step.

AGM-45 Shrike Quick Guide by Klarsnow - updated June 5th 2024

Which server. Which system did you want to attack and which frq did you use? -
here you can see how it actually looks, no sticking

What about the SA-19?

Basically a long time wish from the community, it removes the inbuilt 5% deadzone or you now have full control over how strong it is. This deadzone was more suited for force sense joysticks, but completely inappropriate for spring joysticks I've switched it off completely, so everything is set to 0% and I'm using a spring joystick. I am extremely excited about the change, the inputs are now much smoother, love it!

1)It should be 180° and in dcs that seems to be the case. 2) Hm, I haven't tested that exactly and I would have to read up on it, it may be that the arrow is only an initial signal, as much as "separate now". In general you have to test it but 5nm should be sufficient for the beginning, if not then a little more.

This is the HARM Footprint based on Rmax of the AGM-88 and will increase/decrease in size according to your speed and altitude, currently and depending on the mode sometimes more and sometimes less precise. But HTS Pod is also not 360° The arrow tells you to fly in this direction, the greater the separation between the wingmen, the more accurate the result

I wouldn't necessarily say that it's just that anymore, there are a lot more factors that have an influence, otherwise what you see in the videos I present wouldn't be possible if it was just a "random generator". until recently i thought so too, but there are clearly more factors to be seen if you go to the missile view (F6) you can see how the flares compete with each other and against the heat source of the aircraft. it also seems to be the case that the flares seem to cool down, but this is only a vague assertion based on observation.
-
as a preflare definitely has an effect. but of course i have to say that it would also be nice if you could see the influence of flares in the HUD. I have just done a rough test and it also makes a difference if you drop the flares towards the missile so that the flares fill the FOV of the seeker better. A10 Preflare: https://streamable.com/90pete Stinger : https://streamable.com/k1fufc flare.acmi EDIT: I have to say it's quite constant, if you drop the flare from the beginning towards the missile seeker a couple are enough, but if not I need a whole bunch.

above 500 feet the MP still has a loft and generally hits better especially if the Sam has some armor. MP.txt.acmi MPU and MP.txt.acmi
-
The MPU is not working properly at the moment. I prefer to use the MP, which works much better, with more range, precision and loft.

Currently not yet possible

Yes this is also something I have to scratch my head about, the speed gate is the same for all or at least very close, but when it goes over re-acquisition the Aim120 can't even see the target if this is over 200-500kts RV. Either there is something wrong with the seeker or it is looking in the wrong direction. Idk, this may be due to several things. could discuss it, but in DCS it's not just 200feet, even at 30k feet the missile in STT can lose the target in the notch just like that. I think we would all be very happy if the missile lost the target near 200feet, but unfortunately that is not the case.

I don't know that much about the Russian airplanes. In general I think, and we all agree on this, that the FC modules need more love in many aspects. The FC modules are very old and may have copy paste elements in them. -

An SME has already confirmed that 4 AGM-88s were carried on the F16 as well as used in combat. -
I'm not exactly familiar with this missile, but there are reports where exactly this weakness is mentioned about older aim7 fox1 missiles when it comes to targets that are close to each other, so you can say that it's cool that such a weakness is taken into account.

This aspect has already been reported There is an SPI glitch that messes everything up and can lead to what you are observing I will take a closer look, but I have already observed similar strange behavior. But it could be related to the SPI glitch, if that one is fixed, this here will also be affected
