  1. Once you align your mavs you need to reset the TGP otherwise it will be offset.
  2. Please send the crashlog to ED, these are always core DCS problems, nothing I can solve within the mission editor Also try running a repair
  3. I think it’s fine as is. Imagine, you’re plugged in then the tanker reaches a wp and turns hard 90 degrees. Everyone would complain. Until you call ready it follows the track set up bu the mission designer
  4. Yes that is already ensured. Unless you spread your wings before the director tells you to
  5. Yes it's necessary. I use the radar dome on the distant hilltop at 11 o'clock to you in mission 2.
  6. Once you call ready precontact, the tanker no longer follows its WPs, its flight path is all hard coded
  7. It's set up the same way in both campaigns. Unfortunately this is core DCS code so there's no real way to 'guard' against this.
  8. Thanks a lot for the kind feedback. I'm really glad to hear this, because what you described is probably the most difficult part of building a good mission. The more details, triggers, and voice overs you want to add, the more you need to be able to predict what the player is gonna do, but if you restrict them too much it gives and unwanted feeling of being on rails as you said. It's a fine balance you need to achieve, and I'm glad to hear I did
  9. Hi! Freezes are a PITA for sure, but they're always caused by something in the core of DCS. I can't do anything in the mission editor to induce a freeze or crash, nor can I do anything to prevent it from happening. Try running a slow repair and if that doesn't help, please send the log to ED, so they can decipher it, because I have no clue what they say
  10. I thought about this too, not a bad idea, but I think for 12 missions it would be rather one-sided and boring.
  11. Hey, congrats and thanks a lot for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. I get this feedback often about other campaigns too: people feel a little daunted at first by all the checklists and interactive procedures and once the campaign is over, they realize they miss them and don’t wanna fly without them anymore haha
  12. The first draw is happening today, a lucky player is going to win a WinWing F-16 ICP. Keep an eye on your inbox, and if you don't get a message, don't worry, there's still another prize waiting for a lucky winner - an F-16 HOTAS system.
  13. Turns are never signalled IRL. And no, t won't be because the Tomcat has 2 radios, and it's easy for the lead to transmit any formation change.
  14. Let me share a quick tutorial on the comms procedures in my upcoming Red Flag 81-2 campaign for the DCS F-4 Phantom, including radios, hand signals and formation changes.
  15. That's right, it's W. Check out this campaign guide if you haven't (or the documentation pdf): As for the in place turns: they always turned in the correct direction for me, but it's the AI switching WPs so depending on the current behavior they may decide to turn the other way. It also worked for Carbon: Remember if you have any unofficial mods installed they may mess with the core AI behavior too, among other things.

  17. This is pure gold!
  18. OK, I tried that. Unfortunately it had the same effect as taking off my headset while in game: when I went back in, DCS was frozen and crashed
  19. Thank you John, I appreciate it! It sounds like the campaign made you a better virtual pilot, and I'm happy to hear that
  20. Thanks so much for the feedback, I appreciate it. I'm happy you liked Paradise Lost. Best of luck with MIG Killers, I think that one will be even less demanding schedule-wise, the missions are not only rather short but also cut into several mission files - easy to pick up and revisit a certain part.
  21. Climb power settings are not adjustable in the mission editor unfortunately. But you can climb at 61" and 3000 RPM, rads auto, no problem. I always do that and I don't get left behind much.
  22. Yepp, that's the one. Except you need to call the tanker on UHF, so BTN5
  23. Yes, it's also removed - see changelog BTW until now removing the MW50 didn't do anything due to a bug, but they finally fixed it. This is why it's recommended to report such problems to ED with a track instead of me, because ED can fix these in the core code, but I can't do that from the mission editor. Now that ED fixed that bug, it made sense to update all missions finally. EDIT: Oh wait, my updates are not in game yet. I submitted them to ED, they should be published shortly.
  24. Can you take a screenshot of your control assignments? To see which buttons/commands you're pressing?
