  1. OK, I get around 86C of GPU temperature, it's set to ultimate performance in the Armoury crate app. (ASUS laptop)
  2. Hey ,thanks! I don't play any other game I have my frame rate limited. GPU temps are maximum 80 ish. I'll keep an eye on it and report back.
  3. Since I got my new laptop with a 3070, I sometimes see a weird artifact. Maybe once every 3 hours, the screen turns into very low res and rainbow colored - I can still make out the shapes. I get no error message, and 1 sec later everything is back to normal. My GFX card can't be dying, surely? It's 3 months old. And yes I have the latest drivers from Nvidia. BTW I see the same in VR too.
  4. Yeah, order-wise it would make sense that it would be the hardest.
  5. It's supposed to be an easy campaign. Also, AI performance varies from update to update, and so does missile performance. A mission that's easy now may be next to impossible next month in my experience. If you want hard, try my other 2 Tomcat campaigns they'll give you a run for your money
  6. Could you have survived the war as a US pilot?
  7. It's either a mod problem (never happened to me) or ED's MT code that has been ignoring triggers and flags since its release and they still haven't fixed it. Try removing all unofficial mods then run a slow repair.
  8. I agree, but 1) ED said they're working on a new AI FM, and 2) no ED programmer will ever see your feedback in this subforum
  9. I totally feel your pain, but if we had to update every mission with workarounds for the 'bug of the day' (year) that alone would be a fulltime job. Both campaign makers and players MUST be able to rely on ED to fix such showstopping core bugs, and fix them quickly. Sadly, this one recently celebrated its first birthday.
  10. Yes, easy comms are forced off:
  11. You need to use the push to talk button of the ARC-182 radio because easy comms are forced off:
  12. Just search for ‘salute’ among the F14 assignments. also, if that doesn’t work try running the mission in the single thread version
  13. Can you try one last thing? When you launch, use the salute key assignment instead of the radio menu? the forver orbit could be related to the bugged MT engine, but if Chig doesn’t even switch for you, it sounds like somehow your dcs install is corrupted, I just don’t know how. when you ran a repair, did you selece slow repair with ‘remove extra files’?
  14. Thanks!
  15. Thanks, good to hear that!
  16. 1) remove unofficial mods 2) run a repair 3) remove vaicom 4) if it still happens reduce your gfx settings 5) if it still happens join me in banging on ED’s table for not fixing such a game breaking bug for over a year
  17. Hi, if it worked at the RAG it should work in mission 12 as well. Here’s what I can think of: - make sure you don’t have the spacebar assigned to anything - make sure you have no unofficial mods installed if this doesn’t work, better ask the Heatblur guys because it’s definitely not mission related. And not a switchology problem either if it worked at the RAG PS: there is a Tomcat bug, sometimes I get a black screen with a crosshair instead of the TCS image. Maybe it’s related?
  18. DCS is not changing any freqs. As I explained above DCS has a single freq as opposed to IRL. So I made a realistic kneeboard in case we ever get separate channels. But it shpuldn’t matter because the channels work, Chig automatically switches, and you don’t need to work the radios.
  19. It would be nice but: - we don’t have a radar - night lighting is still bugged so with these 2 factors I wouldn’t be able to give much more than what’s already in V for Victory. Plus I’m not touching the Mossie until the elevator behavior is fixed.
  20. Waaaitaminute. You CAN reach mother on the specified radio channel. Look, they’re all set to 352. Chig automatically sets the back radio, you just need to press the ptt button. DCS only supports a single freq for the carrier, so don’t worry about what’s on your kneeboard. It’s the channels that matter. And you should definitely not be messing with the front radio, comms are the RIO’s job. During ops the front radio is always set to squadron tac.
  21. I’ll have a look when I’m back to my PC next week.
  22. Ok, thanks, will check once I’m back to my pc
  23. I’m away from my pc for a few days but I will check. I still find it strange though, either some update automatically reset all frequencies for the Tomcat but then why mission 9 onwards. Or it’s viacom, which is known to cause weird radio issues. can you please remove viacom and run a slow repair then try again? also, it’s the ARC-182 you need to use mostly. Can you post a screenshot of those settings?
