I've been testing the AGM-154A and its very inaccurate with some wind the BLU had 60m of drift. How can I compensate the drift of the wind? I guess I should take into consideration the time they take to fall and direction and speed of the wind, then I should use the meterstick to compensate? It looks like a lot of work, plus a correction of 60m on the TGP its very difficult specially at medium-long ranges. I also had this problem with the CBU-97 but the SFW are more effective.

I can't imagine the AF transporting armament with fighters.

What is the correct settings for perfect carpet bombing?
Ignition replied to ebabil's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
10 97! wow thats a really big column -
I mean, compared with some export versions.

I hope ED can manage to do the R7, we already have a pretty "crippled" version of the F16. I think we should since we have the left hardpoint, unless its only for the LANTIRN which I think this version doesn't use. I wonder how much time does it need to process the signals. I don't expect to have the precision and speed of the DCS phantasmagoria though.

correct as-is Should the TGP be this difficult?
Ignition replied to dporter22's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Its really annoying without AG mode in JHMCS. For mavericks I usually use the HUD as SOI and then refine with the TGP but you need to fly towards the enemy in a very fast jet. -
The blades should be very easy to find for a radar.

The development of the aircraft was delayed months (if not a year) but ED said they are focused now on developing the F16, next month we will get jsow and wcmd. Now I think we need to wait and see if this is true. ED is communicating, not much but they are saying what they are doing.
-
I did, but only gained a few nm, about 5nm. Its useful though but its not even close to what a jsow can do.

The problem is the USAF uses the F15E for strike missions, and we don't have it (yet) and it seems they use the F16 for a support role, in other countries it may be different. Not having a stand off bomb is really dissapointing for me since I like the F16 but in really complex scenarios as we (our community is around 25+ people) fly every week its necessary to have some stand off since we use combined arms also.

The 154A-1 its not a cluster bomb right? Its a 500lb penetrating bomb from what I understand. That would be a nice weapon.
-
The AGM65D its more useful than the TGP, I can't find anything with the TGP. Everything has the same color.

Between the F18, F16 and JF17, the F16 will be the less capable aircraft in terms of weapons, so why I would use the F16 when it has less options than the other two? I like the plane but I have more choices so I don't need to stick with one. Its not about how many weapons can shoot in one sortie, its about weapon options and the removal of the AGM154C romved one type of mission the airplane can make and it already had less mission options than the other two so its less capable.

ED is aware of that since years as we all know. They tried to fix it but they are still useless. Yes I meant the sensor fuzed, I always confuse those two. ED should do the research before posting anything, yes its work in progress but you can't say something and then 2 years later remove it because "the plane we are modeling didn't use it" with the excuse of beta/wip. I'm seriously considering going back to the F18 or JF17. The removal of the AGM-154C changed a lot for me.
-
Yes, its useless. The only good weapon now will be the CBU-103.
-
Wait, there will be no AGM-154C? If thats the case I will be back to the F18 or JF17. Now the only good thing about the F16 is the CBU-103/105.

AAR needs a lot of improvements, I hope ED will focus on this after the ATC overhaul.

"CZ" on the TGP display.

F16 blk 50 have JHMSC air to ground mode like FA18 ?
Ignition replied to ThoWmas31's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
From todays news: "The Helmet Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) with the HARM Targeting System (HTS), Link 16, Air-to-Ground Mode, and IFF will also be integrated..." -
As I understood, ground radars are used during bad weather mostly to look for buildings and things that highlight on the radar, not for finding vehicles. Also, in DCS GMT is broken since the only vehicles you see are the ones made by the mision designer, it will not have any impact on civilian vehicles.

Which version is using in DCS 2.7?

I guided a GBU-12 droped from a F-16 while I was on a tank (jtac), I saw the bomb hit the ground like 400ft away from the objective BUT the target was destroyed. My friend was watching the target from the TGP and he said the bomb went right on the top of the target. His tacview showed the bomb hit the target but mine didn't. So it was a problem of network synchronization. ED should fix this, its really bad for buddy lasing.

What are the capabilities of a MIDS comunication? for example range or LOS. Is it normaly used in combat or its more like a backup system? I know its encrypted. I guess its a digital signal instead of analog.

I don't believe this is true since the F18 is older and they are very dedicated to this module since a year now. The problem is they are focusing in one thing at a time while releasing multiple products in a short time frame.
