  1. Very good, thats what we wanted to know. ;)
  2. The Problem is the versions of the Planes in DCS. The FW-190 was a feared opponent when it was new, but just like the BF 109 it was harder and harder for the FW-190 to keep up with newer allied planes because the germans did not have the same high quality fuel the allies had. Tha A-8 is also not the greates fighter version of the FW-190, it got lots of armor and good Weapons, but because of this extra armor its heavier than earlier FW-190, making it less maneuverable and even giving it a lower Power to weight ratio than some older FW-190s. With C3/MW-50 injection the power at low altitude should be similar to that of the Dora, but it seems we dont have those (yet?).
  3. Well, its a fan, its spinning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzoEs2VtVYI
  4. If you fight it the right way, but if you get cought by it at slow speed or try to turn with it you will have a bad day. The I-16 has the lowest wingloading of any of the DCS WW2 fighters, even the Spitfire MkIX. So it can turn tight. And, while it has only 1100HP maximum, its also very light, so its power to weight ratio is not bad at all for a 1939 plane. Its achilles heel is its very slow top speed, it just cant catch any of the other planes as long as they keep their speed somewhat high. But, if they fail to do that....

    I-16

The Type 24 is the most produced version of the I-16, so there were a few variations. As far as i know the plane originally had 4x SchKAS 7.62mm. Later at least a few got 2x SchWAK 20mm. The Plane was also produced with different engines. Originally the M-62 and later again at least a few with M-63, like the one we have. Mind you i am not 100% sure about that, i dont have a real good Book on the I-16. (if you know of one that is available, plz tell me)
  6. Using the toe brakes its ok. But you do need to react quickly.
  7. Yes, its displayed in the HUD.
  8. I dont agree with that. The F-5 is quite different, the T-38 has for example a very different wing without the leading edge extension or the F5s flap system with leading edge flaps on top of the trailing edge that in our version are automatic. Its also a different weight and power class to begin with and a two seater, and from what i know even the F-5F two seater flys differently than the F-5E. I honestly dont see why you expect the T38 to be that close to a F-5E.
  9. Very nice. I love the F-14. And also the Draken, best looking fighter ever build. :) I hope we get a flyable one one day.
  10. Just saw that, from a aviation week photo contest.
  11. Well, i liked flying Aerobatics with the I-153 back in IL-2, so why not.
  12. The one on "I"? Thats Joy_RX, but knowing that should not even be needed. You just double klick it in the keybinds and move the rotary, should assign automatically.
  13. I made a vid showing the Navflir and the like a bit about a week ago.
  14. I use the spinny thing around the "E" button , called the RY axis, works very well. I can assign those without problem like any other axis. Same with the small slider below it, but that one is a bit inaccurate.
  15. Yeah, noticed that too. Landings are fine, but when i hit the wheelbrake after landing the plane goes crazy. Can provide video if needed.
  16. I am a train. :P
  17. So much teasing. Looking forward to it. :)
  18. Same here, low FPS in the 30s a lot in the cockpit. But not always and not in third person view either, just cockpit. In some cases i get over 100 fps in third person but only 30 when i switch inside the cockpit. System Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 15063) (15063.rs2_release.170317-1834) Processor: Intel® Core i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz Memory: 16384MB RAM Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Driver Version: 23.21.13.8813
  19. Some VTOL training. :)
  20. Good news and i agree on many points. But there is just one thing i have to mention Yeah, i agree with that, always have. But that is exactly the reason why so many, including myself, were unhappy with the WW2 assets pack being sold instead of just being part of the Normandie map and free. Its not about it being too expensive for us that are allready here, but because it makes it harder for new players to get into WW2, sicne they have to buy a WW2 plane, Normandie map and WW2 assets to get a WW2 sim. Thats very expensive to get into compared with the competition. And also compared to DCS world with modern planes, which is free. But as you said yourself, DCS WW2 acts as advertising not just for the WW2 part, but DCS as a whole and many once they are into DCS WW2 try jets as well, even if they initially claimed they care only about WW2 planes. Lets face it, when the planes are availible in the same sim you already play its just to tempting not to try. That means if you would provide a lower entry price for DCS WW2 by having the WW2 assets pack free, you would not just increase the sale of other current and upcoming DCS WW2 planes, but ALSO the sale of all other DCS modules. Which would more than make up for a free assets pack and therefor creating more revenue while at the same time growing the community.
  21. Very nice. F-14 is going to be great. :)
  22. That sounds surprisingly similar to when my buddys and I play DCS. :)
  23. Ah yes, got this too. Also, you might want to remove the first screenshot in the post, as it gives the impression that you are talking about the difference between covers on and off.
  24. Those are aerodynamic covers at the front and the rear of the pod. When you fire the covers get blow off.
