No, not need in Direct or coordinate mode, only in "MITL" mode to have video and control over the 802AKG

In "Direct mode" i tried tpod, AG radar, waypoint as spi and no luck, Coordinate mode don't work too, or am i doing something wrong :)

For realism purpose, it need to be implement, DEKA can do it :)

- air/air radar, increasing range with TDC, range go directly to 80 mn, 20 ----> 80, decreasing range with TDC is ok, 80 -->40 -->20 - air/air radar, when a target is locked as STT, i can't select another SOI (MFCD) - air/air radar, after cycling TWS --> VS --> RWS --> TWS, i can't modify TWS azimut

For a game, perhaps, but for a simulator, not really F-14 Big old plane has better sustained turn rate and is better dogfighter that F-16 F-18 mig-29,.... F-14 old big phoenix better than amraam 120C F-14 old radar immune against ecm etc.... YOu have a true winner here... That's not serious for a simulator, strange that ED does not react or not so strange in fact :) F-14 will be even better than futur EF-2000 :megalol:

It would be great and we could start consider DCS as a flight combat simulator. Something more believable and realistic is very easy to do, but it seems to be delibarate that developpers don't implement some basic about ecm/eccm Like i already said, "DCS hollywood combat flight game" :) Not to mention the phoenix, a pure joke :megalol:

Before or after launch is not the point. The point is : Is an IR missile able to switch to Flares or stronger signal (before or after launch)? Answer is : YES Then ,after launch it can switch to anorther target with "stronger signal or due to it's prioritization of target (IR head seeker programmed with database) Not really, it was just "would it be possible ?" And most importandly, why in DCS my "ET" can't lock my "ER", i am sure in reality, it can. It's not magic, it's logic and head seaker programming..

OK i will try to simplify for you. Why an IR missile switch to Flares ? because of their thermal signature being stronger. Now imagine the T following the R and at some point it see a stronger thermal signature (the bandit). What it is supose to do ?

Euh no, if you read carefully my answer, you will understand why. I hope you know that an IR missile can switch for another target depending of the emitting source (it's like flares works for exemple :))

It will not loose lock, it will keep the lock until it see the bandit (hotest emititing source) Sure.
