Like i said previously overall pk is biased But correct performance is need for all missiles, with coherent ECM, ECCM environnement (essential). They just try to hide the lost of F-16, i's understandable, that's not good for F-16 sells. And most importantly, a F-16 shot down by a mig-21 :).

Interesting article who give a better idea about true capacity of amraam (specifically c-5). The Amraam C-5 appear to be effective only against old fighters (with poor EW and ECM) at launch distance < 20 mn, but ineffective against modern fighters, and at launch distance > 20 mn. Radar power is not the only factor, US specialists didn't seems to be able to solve the problem, then it's not your little knowledge who will give the answer :) Some countries like France/Russia have some hidden/secret military technologies. Philosophy of these countries are not the same as US and military technologies are well protect. Don't be over simplistic.

Yes he is .. What sources ? ED has only access to public sources, the same everybody can have, and these sources are not reliable. Yefim Gordon has true first hand sources, but they don't please a lot of people :)
