The toolkit hasn't had any development in two years, parts of it are obsolete and end up doing harm via conflict. For instance the NIS sharpening is already applied at 20% while NVIDIA has already implemented that feature directly in their control panel. You can get some weird halo's having both on in certain games where you won't be able to see dots, and who's going to know this is happening?

What's the saying, go woke, go broke. Go ahead and try it where others have already crashed and burned. All I need is Dylan in my back seat and I'm ejecting.

Thank you, good to know. Pimax really needs a manual for their play app.

Would it be possible to integrate a world scale slider as in the original toolkit directly into pimax play, not necessarily needed for DCS but it sure would be nice for other sims that don't have that option. Also can the app be made to show the current in game selected resolution such as 3456x3458 or whatever the selected games resolution currently is, without the toolkit or openXR app there is no other way to know the amount of pixels being generated for a given settings parameter in pimax play. Than we can ditch the toolkit in it's entirety, it's rapidly becoming a nuisance and obsolete.

Title is mistaken, it's actually version 1.33.01 your getting from the link.

Thanks Mbucchia, your the man! Hope you will put in the ability to save and share presets per game.

How to work out what impact a new graphics card will have on VR
Nodak replied to NorthernMenace's topic in Virtual Reality
Having done that route before, yes, you'll be able to jack up the graphics and it'll be noticeable. -
Bad tracking / floating out of cockpit, only in DCS: Crystal Light
Nodak replied to Keith Briscoe's topic in Pimax
Have you hit the 'horizontal recalibration' button in pimax play yet? It should be correctly labeled as center headset. -
Haven't tried it in DCS yet but another air combat sim setting the vertical offsets both +1.8 will make the displays resolution square, nearly equal pixel wise. Instead of running 12 million plus pixels at 3235x3826 with res set at 75% it's now running nearly the same pixels at 3536x3538 res now set at 82%. I find the display superior in everything including spotting, and its carrying the same load. The image isn't distorted one bit, same display area and same field of view. Only thing you may notice is the black border moved slightly down from the top, but your going to have to hunt to see it.

Only the firmware updater.

Had mine for over a month and could not be more pleased. Besides an easily correctable bad fitting to the human form not a single issue, it's been solid so far, using it nearly daily, never flown so much for so long. Just fantastic in flight sims.

You'll get a gain especially if your video card has lower Vram, it frees it up for more usable Vram while in game. The more Vram to burn the faster she churns.

Updater don't work, a known issue, hasn't for quite a while.

My light's firmware is 1.0.7 from pimax play version 1.28.01.01 which they yanked fairly quick, but I'm still running it, can't see anything bad or broke in my use.

Yeah, the software is bugged, does the same thing getting stuck in smoothing mode for me, can't get back out no matter what the settings selected display. Best way is to fire up a completely different game and than it seems to switch. Otherwise it takes multiple attempts and selections of settings applied to get it unstuck. It doesn't get stuck every time but when it does its a pain to get out. Also pay attention to heat levels in 120 hz mode, several users have reported their screens on the left side blow out with the cord connection area getting extremely hot. I've only messed around with smoothing on in 120 mode, seems to keep cool with frames locked to 60, and still getting that 120 smoothness.

If you open the launcher this weeks update is already in there, they apologize for another delay in para 2.

Safest bet is to use the games sharpen filters first above all else, no one knows the specific game graphics like the games coders. There's always a point of diminishing returns when sharpen is overlaid and over done, than it's 'Welcome to Shimmer City.'

ED may not have any competition, but there sure is a long trail of dead sim bodies on the way here, be grateful they never chucked it in like the rest.

Fly with your active game screen as small as possible on your monitor, less motion on it the better. It loves all the internal LED lighting from my new build with glass case, the keyboard, and the newer Virpils that light up, can fly in the dark with no room lighting.

Much appreciated, just bought it recently, what a beauty to fly.

Also the possibility the kill stars were attributed to the pilot currently assigned to the airframe, seen it done before.

Good luck on your motherboard and the 14700K, just be sure your not in a catch 22 situation where you actually need a 12000 or 13000 series chip to get a good flash going so the 14700K will work. If your home building might want to make sure whatever board you do get has easy flash capability built in. Board makers really fail these days in keeping their product up to date with the latest cpu's. No one really wants to build specifically to 14000 series since its a dead end.

My big question is if it's already up for sale, than where are the reviews and videos of the terrain? Release the hounds already, there's not much to base a decision on.
