Yeah it's pretty funny. Launching the magic without a tone then wondering why it doesn't track  He makes it worse for himself in the comments, the video he could have passed off as melodramatic mistakes of a noob for comedy.

Super Etendard !

You're right that the P-63 never officially fought the Germans. But your interpretation is wrong. Under the terms of the P-63 supply under lend-lease the USA forbid the use of them against the Germans (who had pretty much lost the war at this point) and wanted the USSR to save them for planned invasion of Japan. But giving fighter pilots new toys whilst asking them nicely to keep using the old ones was wishful thinking. As such there are reports from the Germans of having fought P-63s over Germany as well as reports from Soviet pilots that they switched into the P-63s immediately but kept all the paperwork as reading P-39. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_P-63_Kingcobra#Soviet_Union

Make your own clip and use one of the free tracking softwares. <$5 Spend the other $345 on beer.

Add this, improve the command and inertial guidance of the R-27 along with the TWS modes of the N-001, implement the buddy designation. Then watch the complaints from Eagle drivers come in as their RWRs mislead them. No R-77s required to significantly bolster the Flankers BVR capability. (R-77 are rubbish in DCS currently anyway) Given this https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=93704 Probably have to wait for an ASM Flanker module for all of that, but so be it.

Sorry, that wasn't directed at your nationality, I actually live in an town settled by the French and everything around here is "Le" this or "Rue" that. So "Le sigh" is in the local lexicon, and it's a French plane so I thought it felt right.
-
Le sigh. Just like that you reduce the credibility of anything you say to nought.

Still better than SPO-10 :P If I had to guess, going off pictures of A-4D and M for size of display, I'd say next to the radar altimeter. But in all the A-4E pits this space is either an empty hole or has a blank plate over it.

I'll admit that I myself hold little respect for the posts that are along the lines of "OMG plane is totally unflyable why can't you be like ED/BST!!!" etc. Criticisms that are more eloquently worded, preferably with data and/or testing however I follow keenly. Despite some ups and downs this thread is a good example. And I can honestly say the biggest challenge I have gunfighting in the M-2000C is keeping my pilot conscious. I suspect I am not alone in this. I chalk this up to flying style, I only pull high alpha for lead just before firing or to prevent an overshoot (here I'd even argue that against AI, with their total lack of inertia, the high drag can be an advantage.) So whilst not necessarily of the opinion that there is no problem, it's just, the way I fly I seldom get into the situation in which it presents. Of course it is possible I developed this flying style due to this incorrect drag, but I suspect the old MiG-21 FM is the more likely culprit.

 Maybe someone needs to write a "return to sender" script that teleports missiles fired at friendly units back to the offender :P

Yes I've been online with people doing that. The idea of target identification is beyond some people. And yes, but it's a static so it doesn't do anything

Can we get AWACS respawn on phone booth? Or even just EWR at Mozdok. Red AWACS is typically down in the first 15 minutes which tends to empty the team and thus the sever.
-
Aside from this not quite being correct, ED and BST have more experience (in both time and quantity) making FM's for DCS than all the third parties combined, they also have the benefit of having access to the core game code. Frankly I'd be shocked if they weren't as good at it as they are at this point in time. Razbam, and in fact all of the third party devs (kind of excluding Heatblur) only have one module released. Few people can master something the first time they do it, but they only get better. ED also have the luxury of being able to spend the better half of a decade working on a module.

Um, you know what a stall is? I suspect he is referring to when you don't manage your energy and find yourself without any lift and too much AOA induced drag to accelerate and not enough altitude to nose down. This is a stall.

And no-one ever landed on the DCSW moon

Just did some testing. Seems to be a bug. Ground EWR is only working if the units are from a nation using the Russian style three digit callsigns.
-
The WIP vids and openness of development is what swayed me on the Harrier from "it's unique and I do like the Mirage, but, meh, maybe on sale" to "take my money Razbam!!!"

Yeah R-27R is useless, anything with afterburners can turn around and outrun them. They'd be better if you kept them in the cockpit, opened the canopy and threw them at your enemies.

Dodging long range AMRAAM shots from AI of any skill level is easy. You'll know when they've fired at you immediately because they will change their heading. The AI act like they've got to pay for the missiles out of their own pocket money so they won't launch a second missile until the first one has missed. If you're low start looking to use terrain and notching so you're ready for when the missile goes active. If you're up high, start burning towards the bandit. When the missile goes active dive straight down, then pull straight back up to your original altitude. Try to stay supersonic. Missile will pass by without enough energy to hit you and now you've closed the range for a no-escape R-27 launch possibly even R-73. This is less effective against humans who are more likely to send a couple of missiles your way.

Helicopter From Ships
Dehuman replied to grant977's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
They will absolutely need to have it fixed, not only for release of F-18 and 14 but also AV-8B and Su-33 PFM. Pointless to release a swathe of carrier based modules if they can't operate from a carrier without sliding overboard or into the tower during start-up. -
Heh, I remember a long time ago watching John Stewart interviewing a marine and he asks "Isn't the marine corp technically a division of the navy?" To which the marine calmly replied, "Yeah, it's the mens division."

Right?! Mirage is full of tricky acronyms, PCA, PCN, PCP. No idea.

That's the "missing texture" texture filling in for the spec map. I've got that happening on the Su-33 but not the 27? edit: looked closer and noticed those pics are from Su-33

Depends how long you have the air start switch on for. Engine can't take more than 1300kmh IAS at any altitude. Down low this is 1.1M up high it's 2.1M.
