  1. Anyone who is sane enough to flare will still completely deny the 27T. Pls no. The r27 series of missiles has a huge drag coefficient. There is no way to compare the Super530d to the r27. There is a truth in the argument that the other platforms have x2 or more the missiles but the Mirage missiles are a lot better. There is no reason for a mirage to die in a engagement where even the su27 has more energy. play that drag coefficient on the r27 and it will literally stall before it gets to you while the 530 deals a lot better with that. If someone notches and comes back offensive he is basically guaranteed to be toasted, because the Mirage is a pretty fast frame. Given equal pilotskill I have a really hard time to think of anything, the flanker does better which does not get initiated on surprise terms within very short range.
  2. The Mirage should have datalink as well, just saying. For the D2M, it really doesn't save one as often as one may think because it can just see below the waterline and has a pretty big blindspot to the rear as well. It really does best what its designed for, warn against IR-SAMs. Headon the T can only pick up the Mirage at shorter ranges then 530D RTR and can be spoofed in full afterburner anyways so there is really no reason to be afraid of that thing, so yeah. If we want to play hardcore throw out the D2M. Missiles use the exact same guidance btw, they just do not have the drag coefficient of a school bus driving sideways. Overall I think though weapon system balance wise this is the most balanced setup there is going to be. Best change to bring a more equal usage of a2a platforms would probably be give all aircraft full fuel or all aircraft no fuel. The setup that Mirages get full fuel and the FC3 aircraft have to refuel really does heavily favour the Mirage in about every way like that. Also give the flanker datalink. Although I would prefer to keep the D2M then as long as the Mirage is missing its datalink entirely. But then again it rarely saves one so personally I am fine with no D2M and datalink for the flanker.

  5. Do you guys even read. Ciribob said until monday probably no changes because busy. He listed what is missing and he wants to do so yeah. There is a large amount of redundancy. The fueling mechanic is also still worked on and during real rounds there _allways_ was the fuel component. Blueflag is a strategic setup as well, not only tactical. And yes the Idea is that flying alone or with randoms in a non coordinated fashion doesnt get you much.

You can gun the SA11 at the moment 0 problem, ka50 can deal with it zero problem, even gazelle actually can deal with it, the Viggen can deal with it, even the A10 can deal with it, and the su25t can deal probably the best with it. I am happy that we have something that can't be bombed with mk82 for long range defence.
  9. Shilkas attack at any altitude, the question really only is if one can beat their reaction time by terrain masking. Also constant slight snaking usually saves one. IR-SAMs have a minimum engagement altitude as well which can be underflown.
  10. There is no tunguskas nor SA15s in buddyspike, and attack with RB05 and RB75 of all flavours is very much still viable. A combination of them both is especially effective. The Viggen can run between airports and farps to destroy them with mavs fully during repairtime. Also the capability to just get mavs on to a target at mach 1++ is unique atm and will stay until the hornet arrives and even then probably will be still faster. BK90s can still be deployed, just let a ka50 or a a10c give you the coordinates. Or check in the mission first or get a jtac there. just because unit positions vary on respawn it doesnt make a weapon system useless.
  11. No problem ! :) tl;dr is jargon for "to long, didnt read" and putting it as a term usually is used to indicate the short variant of a thread or a message is provided afterwards. I did improvis the ;ds for didnt search since one would have to search the thread probably to find all the issues you described since not all users had exactly the same composition iirc. So yeah its just an indicator that I provided the shortened version so you dont have to read the thread. :D

  13. To my knowledge the RB74 is a aim9-l variant, which it is also represented as in game 3d model wise. But the RB74 still performs like the RB24j in terms of seeker performance, aka rear aspect only. To my knowledge this is very much wrong, as the only difference between aim9-m and aim9-l is only the CCM capabilities, so the RB74 should have the same all aspect capabilities as the aim9-m. What is the state on this issue ? :)
  14. The difference in gamery between a f10 menue function or a magic map with all units or opening the mission is practically 0. Get an A10, gazelle or ka50 on site, let him give you coordinates, done. Short range defences for the airfields would be appreciated.
  15. The armour modelling is both to strong and to weak. Shermans with the 75mm basically no chance of penning the thing except side within 300m or so. Still frontally they damage it. So yeah. To weak against at-guns, to good against explosives.

  19. Bug report for the stats: For example =RvE=Windmills got 9 airkills, also according to kill log, but for some reason only 3 of them are counted as airkills, the rest is ground kills. Also null as a result for K/D if a player hasnt died yet.
  20. Well, yeah you can overlock most chips somehow but in general if you are really using hardware intended for server usage the main focus is reliability. One can base frequency overclock xeons but thats like, yeah doesnt really give you a lot and has more implications then multiplier overclocking in general. So meh well, you can declare anything a server and overclock it and people did and do it but the gains to be had in a engine like DCS 1.5 are probably small and probably not worth the time.
