  1. Yeah the CCM modes have some quirks both positive and negative. The Heat signature is low, but not THAT low. The A10 has some modifier of 0.4 iirc @max thrust. The Flanker has in full AB modifier of 4, dry its 1. F15 has full ab modifier of 3.92 in dry its 1 or 0.9 as well iirc. The Mirage hass a full AB modifier of 1.7 and dry its 0.7 or 8 iirc. Just looking at the amount of thrust, so throwing fuel burn for thurst efficiency out of the window for the moment, its kinda reasonable numbers, relative to each other. The absolute detection ranges against it might be off in IR spectrum.

  3. If I do that, it doesnt change prep to 03. It just stays on whatevar it was before. At least last time I tried, which was in march, it was like that. I would be world most happy Mirage driver if it got finally fixed.

  6. How to add waypoints in MP which are not designated in ME ? If I only have 2 waypoints set from ME, I can never use the rest 18 waypoints. I can just edit the 2 existing waypoints.
  7. I have no problem with it, what jojo and helijumper are saying is correct though. Its a history gunsight, the pipper display where a imaginary bulletstream would intersect the range the target is from you. So if you pull in at high G while switching to guns, the bullet stream will intersect the range outside your HUD at first, untill the bullets of the imaginary bulletstream are reaching the target range inside your HUD, which is when the pipper on the snake would come into view. Sounds like you are describing that, which would be the correct way of working to my knowledge.
  8. :D I am not asking for balance, I am just asking for Viggens, since they are timeslot wise and capabitly wise in the according time frame fitting. And since MIG21 had trouble the last two signups with getting enough slots if my memory serves me well, I suggested to put it on that side. :)
  9. Who do I reach out for coordination with the Reapers, so we do not land on the same side again ? :D RvE is pretty much flexible at this point in terms of side selection. :)
  10. Well as soon as you throw mavericks into the mix for sure. But with RB05s, unguided rockets and bombs only, basically an 1970 AJS37, I think its a different story. You can basically just take out one target per flight, which one can do in a pretty hard to counter way, unless the other side gets BARCAP up, but apart from that the Viggen is mainly fast and has only rear aspect only missiles and pretty bad backwards visibility and no integrated gun nor CM dispensers. I mean in the grudge match the faction with the Viggen reinforcement still lost. Main strength of the Viggen without PGM would basically be blind attack, with the limitation of 1 target per run. Personally I think the tradeoff would be preventing unbalance but then again not sure.
  11. I would have loved to help the Migs out in my smoerebroed carrier [Viggen]. It has even with bombs, rockets or rb05 only big advantages for A2G but would not create a huge imbalance due to the limited target amount one can take per run. In a2a its also capable to challenge the Mig as well as the F5 and tbh for spotting purposes the mapping radar is pretty good as well since basically all the action happens low. IIRC the MIG21 had now not enough pilots two times in a row, how about running the Viggen on the MIG side next round ?

  14. failed prototype. Well it was a prototype. And the only flying one did crash, which was entirely on the Jumo004 engines which had terrible reliability. The actually intended engines were HeS011. It is an experimental plane which is kinda weird for a combat simulator, but then we have the KA50. lol. :D
  15. Its just a joystick input profile modification. So yeah, I dunno, would not regard this as a cheat. If it would be recognized as such, every modification of input to game functions to work well with our relatively lack luster equipment, in comparison to a full cockpit, would be a cheat. So switch mods to make warthog switches work, CCW and CW for rotaries, toggles for 2 position switches etc. etc., and I honestly do not believe such gives an unfair advantage. Meanwhile I am just happy with muh Mirage functionality. 5G for fighting peasants and dropping bombs, 9G for fighting normally and auto jettison all the non A2A missile things and the everything the hydraulics will do override for full panic. Fidelity FTW.
  16. Just from a programming perspective: You _can_ do everything up front. But that is ridicoulously expensive. On the scale of expensive that I do not think DCS modules have that budget. Apart from that IRL you get instant feedback by aerodynamics. In a simulation enviroment you have to build up a system behaving like aerodynamics. So basically, yeah its allways going to be overperforming first in some way because the limitations are more complex then the basic things. So just from a implementation standpoint its probably not going to happen. And indeed the Mirage cant go 2000kph anymore sustained at SL. It could do that in the past, but thats like eons ago.
  17. Yes that is what I am stating. ADI basically works like a 3 axis acelorometer and obviously is useless as such. ;D
  18. 2147483647 is the maximum value a signed 32bit integer can have. I guess something leads to some overflow which leads to the gyros not reaching their sts usable state. That also concurs with the gyro very shortly beeing in the correct state, then tilting for a second and the error flags comming up. I guess something overflows that moment. :D
  19. Its true, the gyros do not run of battery power. But with the engine on that is no problem.
  20. If one is starting cold in MP or SP the off/error flag doesnt disappear at the CI heading ring and the ADI, this is accompanied by RHM FEL. As soon as one turns from BER to NAV a navsystem fel happens obviously. In the past this happend sometimes and was able to be solved by moving from the spawning position and fast errecting the gyro again. Now the fast errect button, snabbersning i believe its called, has zero effect on the ADI, it doesnt even restart the procedure. This is pretty annoying as one basically has no heading, not even backup compass unless one can start hot, which usually does not happen in MP. If one starts hot, shuts down and restarts the plane this error does not occur.
  21. Has the batch for VKB EU been shipped already ? IIrc the european store wanted to start only selling them as soon as the first batch arrives right ?
