DCS: Black Shark User Screenshots Dedicated Thread
deviletk replied to Teknetinium's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Really love those pics Xkikz! Imagine some higher smoke pillars that were wind sensitive... Next engine we hope. :) Anyway, great PS'ed screens. Class! -
I dont think he is making a profile. He wanted one and got one and now tries it. ;) There is a profile if you scroll up.

Should be ok unless you didnt change any hardware. I think...(?)

Isnt he talking about this? http://www.jetfighters.dk/4images/data/media/58/2.jpg That the real ground/horizon will bank when you bank in the aircraft. And he says the horizon stays level even when he banks. Maybe i didnt get he question right. :)

You didnt read this thread i take it? Quick search and there is all info you need. That whole thread covers what you need. If i remember correct you need to stretch the window image over both monitors. Not dualview but 1 screen over both monitors. Cockpit and the rest of textures separated?
deviletk replied to Legolasindar's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Definatelly. There is no real benefit of having that option if it makes the cockpit unreadable. Sure you can fly but get a hard time knowing what buttons you press. Hopefully there is something you can do to let the cockpit stay in higher textures and the world lower. -
Heh. If you DIDNT get good performance out of any game/sim with that super spec well, then there would be something wrong. ;) This shows that i need a massive upgrade to fly BS. Hopefully i wont need SLI/Xfire for it though. Regards Alex

In LO you can set what format should be saved when pressing the PRINT SCREEN button. I dont know if BS is the same. If it is, it might be set to PNG or BMP etc and not most standard JPG. Look through the folder with the explorer.

Nice! Maybe after some testing a new prop could be added. Not touching the rest. Dont know until i baught my copy. Sounds very good though EB1. Regards Alex

That one is awesome and should be easy to loop. Ive done it before on that particular sound i think. Then add a bit of turbine on top of it. Does BS use inside sound and outside? Like more turbine in and more prop out (2 different sound files). Then we could make it like this: Outside volume levels: Prop 70%/Turbines 30% Inside volume levels: Prop 30%/Turbines 70% Or something like that. I dont have BS but if you could provide me with the sound i could look at it and then add the new one and you could test and give me info on what to change (too little/much bass and such things). Regards Alex

Im sorry but whats wrong with the manual? Just read it or check the keycard (should be there in DOC folder maybe) for what buttons do what. I dont have BS yet so i dont know, but the documentation seems to be good - as usual. regards Alex

Sorry if this has been posted here but im off to bed FAST and just wanted to share what i found. CPU Affinity program that you can setup what programs you want. So you dont need to alt+tab it. I didnt really get it to work (i think) as i set LO to 1 of the CPU´s but when checking taskmanager it showed both cores. Maybe it overrides though, not sure, too little time as its very late. I tested set the affinity though before i searched for some prog that could do it so we dont have to alt+tab BS, and LO went from very good to super. :) Didnt see any readme or "manual" for it. Very straight forward though and very small program. Comes from Toms Hardware and i virus checked it. Np as i could see. Give it a go and tell us if it works. :) LINK PROGRAM: http://images.tomshardware.com/2004/05/28/getting_more_bang_out_of_your_dual_processing_buck/taskassign.zip LINK AFFINITY EXPLANATION: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/bang-dual-processing-buck,815.html Best regards Alex

Thanks mate! Before i read your post i tried to change the resolution in the graphics.cfg and it worked. But the loading screen looks funny though and the "start fly" window is a bit off. But it works. Will test your idea as well. Thanks a lot. :) Regards Alex

i am very sorry to ask if it has been told several times before (chance is it has), but i fly with 1280x1024 and i read on the first page that it was like that. Did anyone fix this? It is so many posts to read so hoping some of you kind souls have the info on this as it looks awesome. Thanks in advance. Regards Alex

uninstall that comes with the sim or control panel add/remove?
-
Yes you can upload targets to everyone. And even when wingmen are AI they can upload to you. I dont know how to do it yet except very loosely in my head from watching producers notes. But it is possible and its explained in the manual. I dont have BS yet... :( Good luck ;)
-
It was not a stupid post at all. It had me worried as well. ;) Regards Alex
-
LOL! :D Well as it seems some people get a boost of some to 20-ish extra fps it might be a smart thing to change to "that" OS. So vista huh... I guess i install dual boot again then. :)
-
So does this "fix" work better with 64bit OS? In that case im buying that. EDIT: seems the 32bit guys get no or little benefit. Regards Alex
-
That would be super. Im getting a CH HOTAS, but until then, trusty ol' X45 will be working for me. :)

I already had read that chapter thouroghly but did it again for the exam. I have no problem reading manuals, in fact love it, but this just made it even more fun. :) Thanks a bunch SunDown for doing this! Cant wait for the actual MP flying school. Exam handed in. :smartass: Regards Alex
