  1. What is a Butt sensor? Does it vibrate?:megalol:
  2. Always nice to hear kind words. Makes all the hard work we do worth it.
  3. Awesome job guys! Way to use cover too!
  4. Thanks for reporting it...can you add it in the Bug Report thread sticky above. I'll get it added to our list. Also, big thanks for all the steps, helps us to reproduce it nicely. I'll about the subform as well. Being our first module, we'll start with the big thread. I go through it daily and add all the bugs and requests to our master sheet in google docs. So it's all being heard. But just makes it easier to find in the big thread then in normal threads that I might miss if I don't look on the forums during my normal work day.
  5. Very nice! Enjoy watching your videos.
  6. Very nicely done!
  7. Really well done....one minor thing though. The yellow lever is fuel lever, not throttle. The Gazelle has an auto-throttle system so you don't even worry about throttle. Great video either way....really like all the technical aspects of everything.
  8. What mod is that for the map? Looks great.
  9. So wanted to response with a couple quick things. First, make sure any bug/issues are reported in the Bug Report thread that is a sticky. I spent quite a couple hours last night cataloging all the reports bugs from there along with the requests so we can analyze them, replicate them, and correct them. Just makes it easy to have things there, otherwise I might miss an issue like this since I have tons of threads to reply to. Second, is about the flight model. You bring up a valid concern. So in order to get the correct answer for this, I need to contact our primary coder who created the flight model. Along with him, we also have several real world Gazelle pilots who, along with flying the SA-342M, are currently deployed in various military forces. Some of them are easier to reach then others. But they were a great resource for us for getting this far, and we'll defer to them for any possible modifications to the FM. So while I'd love to give you an answer now, I'd rather give you a correct answer and it takes time to get that. So know were working on it.
  10. Area 51 had a teleport accident. Actually wasn't too hard, I created a trigger zone for where I wanted the ship and use a script to spawn the carrier there. The sim treats it like a structure. While you can't launch jets and land them on the wires, you can easily practice heli landings and takeoffs.
  11. What is the range of what your looking at?
  12. That is a great trick! I'll have to remember that. I usually fly with the control indicator on so I can see the message on there. But with the oculus rift there is no control indicator so would be nice to confirm it's on.
  13. I had similar experiences. In learning the Huey and the Mi-8 I found that each one I had to relearn the rudder on it. When I first started flying the Gazelle it took me a bit of time to learn her like any new aircraft. Remember that real pilots don't learn a new aircraft in one day. It takes time and training. At this point I have about 150 hours of flight on the Gazelle and I still have things to learn.
  14. Great video! Good job.
  15. WE've put it into the enhancement thread to work on.
  16. Awesome pictures guys. Keep it up!
  17. Well, it's up to ED so we don't really control that. But hoping so.
  18. You can expect the whole campaign to be there when 1.5.3 update comes out. Another thing that might help is practicing flying at night. If I recall correctly about 80% of the missions are at night.
  19. Very well spoken. Thanks.
  20. Lightly loaded with half fuel and no HOT3 missiles...I got her to around 230.
  21. Having played it and tested it...it is intense and amazing. BUT - you need to know the Gazelles systems pretty well before you start her. Especially navigation.
  22. Logged in the bug report thread.
  23. It's when your engine fails. In a plane you glide her down, in a helicopter you auto-rotate. Essentially you use the blades as a lifting body and try to minimize the impact on the ground. If you want to try it in the Gazelle, just pull the fuel lever back when your up in the air...and try to land safely.
  24. Nice....I survived my first auto rotation too...its the second and third that were the killers.
  25. Depends on your movements. But the real gazelle you try to make minor inputs when flying, we try to model it as real as possible (in taking with a plethora of real Gazelle pilots) Remember that the Gazelle is quite different from other helicopters currently in DCS.
