The commander makes for a lovely conversation. He doesn't talk much, but he's a great listener. Added to the list.

Might want to try adding some curve to it ease the snapping.

For auto-hover to engage the following parameters need to be met: Speed - less then 18km/h Pitch - less then 30 degrees VVI - less then 120 meters per second if I recall correctly. Otherwise it won't turn on. If your going to turn off auto-collective, make sure your collective is up to the level it was when it was hovering. Otherwise you'll drop pretty quickly. And remember there are vast differences between this helicopter and the Huey. The huey is wider and has a bigger engine. The Gazelle is a "light" helicopter that is very narrow compared to most.

Polychop SA342M Gazelle Screenshot Thread

This is a fun flying challenge if you need one. It's possible to kill a helicopter with a HOT3 My parking spot in Vegas...don't forget to tip the valet. Anyone else notice these weird pool in Nevada that go into the house: -
For me it's a slow advance of right rudder...but usually about half way right in a hover. The tail system is "safer" in theory, but also weights more...so keep that in mind. Do you have any other USB devices that show up in your controls? I have USB controller for my panel and they have default settings in the controls window. I find that I have to clear them from effecting and flight controls.

In the campaign you'll see several examples of this, but essentially stay low, sneak up on target, and kill it. The one thing you have to watch out for is trees. They can do some damage to your chopper. What I like to do is get into a hiding position and activate auto-hover. I turn off the collective mode © and do it myself. This way I can get really low so just the vividian system can see the target. Then I pop up...shoot...stay on target...kill it, and hide. Rinse and repeat.

Be careful what area you spawn in. Sometime the Area 51 Aliens like to steal helicopter parts to rebuild their spaceship to fly back home.

Its because of the Fenestron system. It requires more rudder input from the pilot. Check out on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenestron

Right shift-P usually does this. But we'll work on the ability to remove commander as well.
-
Will get these added to the first post. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Manuals are still being worked on. The orginal manual is in French and I've been helping with the convertion. But still a lot to go, but we wanted to get you guys flying first.

You have to unlock it by holding down the knob at the bottom right.

I subbed to your channel and will send more viewers your way. Great video and keep up the great work!

**Moderator, please stick *** So this thread is to keep track of things that you guys are asking for that would be nice to add in future updates. Skin: Release Skin template. Doors: add ability to open and close then by clicking Tutorial video: turn on all system including countermeasures. You have to turn on the system which is next to the pilots left leg. Then you have to lift the cover from the flare button and then pressing it will pop the flares out.
-
Find us a good manual for it, and we'll see about making it.
-
You want to talk about cramped....try flying it with the oculus rift. I swear I can smell the Commanders bad breath.
-
Huey is much wider then the Gazelle so ground effect on the Huey is not the same as the Gazelle.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. I saw the reddit review and found some interesting things out. 1) He took off with left rudder. 2) He lost control fairly quickly after takeoff. 3) He's not a real helicopter pilot (plane pilot yes). So take his review with a grain of salt. The only review I would actually listen to is one by an actual helicopter pilot who's actually flown a gazelle in the real world. Those are the guys we listen to when developing our FM.

I think I've only done like 1-2 perfect loops with her. Most of my loops end up off course a little. If you really want to have some fun, try an inside loop.
-
Once you get her over 100 you don't need any rudder at all.

Each team member has there own setup so I can only speak to mine. I use a saitek x65 and x52. The throttle from the x65 is the collective, and the stick from the x52 is the cyclic. Not sure if any team member has a warthog, but will ask. As for the FM, it's what the real pilots told us along with data we have. I wasn't directly involved with the fm coding so can't really comment on the CG, but I've had no issues flying her. Although based on real world experience there have been plenty of cases where she tipped over - mostly due to pilot error. A lot of people are used to left rudder on helicopters and I the gazelle that can cause a spin which could result in tipping. So right rudder folks!

Blue Thunder would be awesome...but we'd have to modify the front to add a machine gun to it. Maybe somewhere down the line.
