OH-6A by Tobsen and Eightball
Don Rudi replied to tobi's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Thanks for the kind words I didn’t have the time yet, to have a look at the latest iteration. But I sure am interested in making something for the OH-6A. I will have a few inspirational beverages -
Hi, in order to fill a warehouse by lua script, could anyone tell me the wsType codes for the Kiowa's M3P gunpods, please? Thanks
-
Fully agree. I would also add some sort of civilians, as that would help replicate the sometimes difficult targeting.

I don't buy the performance argument. Syria has 51 airfields iirc, so many more than what is planned for this map. And as you see, just leave out the shiny eye candy International airports - they serve less purpose than these important military bases, imho.

This map has great potential to recreate the famous Air battles, deep strikes and naval strikes of the Iran-Iraq war. TFB.4 Dezful TFB.5 Omidihyeh TFB.6 Busher Would all be in the detailed areas of the map(s). Esfahan as an important base is only in the low res area, maybe a simplified version might be possible? But even just TFBs 4, 5 and 6 would add a whole new dimension for the map and provide a natural playground for the F-4, F-5 and F-14. Please consider adding these. Thanks.

The Seawise Giant has been hijacked! While on its way to Bahrain, the tanker has come under control by stow aways. The crew could bring them self to safety in the ship's safe room. As part of the rescue operation you are tasked to fly a boarding team to the tanker and drop them off by fast roping - at dawn. This mission is a complete rework of my old mission for the UH-60L mod, with all new voiceovers and some added features. The mission contains: - about four dozen quality voice overs - custom kneeboard page with boarding zone briefing picture - custom kneeboard pages containing a mini tutorial on how to create a manual waypoint - simple ai co-pilot who will perform the fence in/out (lights/ASE) - custom ATC (do not use ingame ATC!) Skill requirements: - cold start - manual waypoint creation in the nav system - night flying - precision hovering Persian Gulf map is required. Enjoy! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3340060/

Thanks for reporting back I will consider a blue CAP for the next update

In my tests they worked fine, but I will have a look, if I made a mistake somewhere. Though I just selected the weapons and kept the default fuses.

Can you be more specific? Which aircraft (slot) and which weapon?

The new additions to the map require some rework of the Sandox, I will keep you posted.

Hi and apologies for the late reply, Thanks for the hint, I will correct the manual in the next update. The values are still correct though, as it depends on how fast you get into the air and how fast you fly. The bogey will be somewhere around 220-230° from you. It should pop up on your radar pretty quickly, if you yurself are also flying at around 18,000ft. You will get an info as soon as you are airborne. Checkout D34thf4c3's video on YouTube, he does a nice showcasing of the mission: A huge thanks to user D34thf4c3, who is currently creating a playlist on Youtube, flying the Mirage F1 Fighter Weapons School. You can see his progress here:

Depending on the Anti Virus software you use, it will detect several aircraft as false positives. I had the same. Unquarantined the files and excluded the DCS game folder from the search, as generally recommended.

Doesn't work for me But thanks.

Looking for it as well.

Hi all, +++ updated 20.09.2025 +++ I uploaded my Kola Sandbox, a set of 60 slot based quick missions for 12 different aircraft This sandbox is intended to give the players a set of 60 quick missions on the Kola map, to offer single- or multicrew players some quick fun. In total there are 55 missions/slots available for Royal Norwegian Air Force, Swedish Air Force, Finnish Air Force, US Air Force, US Marine Corps and Russian Air Force. These include: Norway 9x F-16 4x F-5 (full fidelity AND FC4) Sweden 5x Viggen Finland 9x F/A-18 3x MiG-21 USA 5x F-15E 3x AV-8B 5x F-4E 5x A-10CII Russia 3x MiG-21 3x MiG-29 (full fidelity AND FC3) 3x Su-33 3x Su-25A You will use air bases, road bases and carriers. You will intercept bombers, mingle with fighters, perform SEAD, conduct precision strikes with guided munitions, provide CAS with rockets, gunpods and dumb bombs and many more. What is this sandbox? It is intended to be an easily accessible set of quick missions for players of all skill levels. It offers a variety of F10 radio options to adapt the difficulty, like adding additional SHORAD or numbing down S-300s. Each of the slots has a unique task assigned. To provide a care free experience, the fligtplan is set, all neccessery radio frequencies are set, loadout is selected, tankers are available. But of course you can always adapt all this to your personal liking. The sandbox is also intended to be the user's personal Kola playing ground. You are a Hornet flyer and want to attack the target of Viper #4? Just grab it. You want to fly the JF-17 instead of the F-16? Just swap it. Users can also add new aircraft slots, like super carrier with Tomcats to their liking. The manual provides all neccessary frequencies and a list of target coordinates for maximum variety. Some highlights: + two versions of the mission - one with all aircraft (except for the Kuznetzov slots) set to cold start and one with all aircraft set to hot start. + Mission overview PDF with all relevant data + 18 page PDF manual + Enemy air assets that are slaved to a specific slot can be unlocked for any (added) aircraft via F10 options + various F10 options to set Red SAM behaviour While this set is intended for the single player, it should work well when used as multiplayer as well. Enjoy! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339556/

Just because you make weird assumptions about ED's alleged business model, I shall pay a subscription? No, thanks.

Normandy 2.0 is by Ugra, do you have a source to share that Afghanistan is based on it?
-
Looks to me they just listed their own modules, which is fair enough. Harrier, Tomcat, F-15E, etc all saw action there. I wouldn't interpret too much into it.

@BIGNEWYwould you mind answering my question from a few pages back, if new assets are planned for the map? Currently all we have are two insurgent infantry units and with a little phantasy two types of technicals. By far not enough to build interesting missions. We'd need more insurgent and civilian assets and objects like the IEDs from the LLH Insurgent mod. Is there anything planned? (yes, I am aware of teased new US vehicles).

Thanks! I read the FAQ twice and somehow managed to miss that line twice. I feared it would be more like a one year interval, what kept me from pre-ordering.
