  1. I have to thank you, my friend. I guess you know that - when testing ones own missions, one simply doesn't see the most obvious of things. Like in my case the mismatching number or wrong heading - I was simply anticipating the correct ones
  2. Mission is updated to 1.0.2 Changes: changed tailnumber to match the voice overs GCI displays wrong heading - fixed added own parking stand and ATC channel to first kneeboard page added missing kill confirmation for the MiG-21s Thanks @YoYo for the sharp eye!
  3. Sorry YoYo, I total missed the hidden part. 1) the GDR had very good relations with socialist African countries, so people of colour were a thing in the GDR. 2,5) this is meant as quick fun for everybody, that's why the labels aren't inhibited either. Advanced players can switch labels off and ignore the map, newbies can use both. Each to their liking. In a dedicated single mission, it would be different. 3) that's a bug in my script, thanks for pointing out! Will correct it asap <shame> 4) as Raven said, you should receive a kill confirmation and be released to RTB in the air. There is a Aerodrome layout on the Kneeboard, I will add a mark, where to park. Though basically it doesn't really matter. 6) Will do, thanks!
  4. Keep in mind, this is just for quick fun to enjoy the MiG-29 and the MiG-21 is a nice opponent. Also, I had something in the back of my head a former GDR Air Force officer told me, when we asked him, if Warsaw Pact aircraft navigated freely like NATO ones (like Belgian Mirages doing low level in Germany). He said, had they done that, the Poles and Czech would have shot them down (unless there was a huge heap of paperwork in advance). Wether that was true or not, I don't know. Just see it as DACT
  5. Have you checked my Cold War Germany Sandbox? It features 20 tasks for the F-4, including intercepts https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3344728/
  6. It has a 50:50 chance to just turn away, but the little AI Swede seemingly prefers aggression Hmm, as I understand it, this FWAF is something only working with some WW2 ED missions? I could add a second slot to the player group for another MiG-29, but it doesn't make much sense in the given scenarios, as they are all designed for a single player. My helicopter missions are mostly Multicrew/coop though.
  7. I would like to introduce a mission aimed at providing quick fun - the MiG-29 Interceprorado. It features 8 randomised intercepts, ranging from simple assistance for lost aircraft to intercepts of sitting ducks to challenging dogfights. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3347187/ Laage Air Base, Northern Germany. Dawn breaks grey over the shelters when the klaxon wails — SCRAMBLE! You are the quick reaction alert pilot on duty. Your MiG-29 waits cold and dark inside the hardened shelter. No time for comfort, no time for doubts — climb in, bring the Fulcrum alive, and get airborne. Ground Control will vector you onto unknown contacts. Some will be routine escorts, others simple intercepts for identification. But be warned: not every flight on the scope is friendly. A target may just turn hot… and sometimes you’ll find yourself staring down a fight for your life. The intercepts are randomized — you will never know what’s waiting over the horizon until GCI gives the call. One mission may feel like a drill; the next could be a knife fight at supersonic closure. Your tasks: + Startup, taxi, and takeoff on alarm. + Follow GCI instructions to intercept unknown traffic. + Engage only when cleared or threatened. Some aircraft are harmless, others hostile. + Return to base if ordered or when fuel is low. Rules of Engagement: ID before fire unless fired upon. Trust your ground controllers — their radar sees more than you do. And if you find yourself with time to spare during warm-up or the lonely ride home… perhaps check your F10 menu. Rumor has it there’s something in there to keep you company. Good hunting, Fulcrum driver. Features: + 8 randomised intercepts, ranging from escort to challenging dogfights + custom GCI (output can be toggled between metric and imperial) + custom kneeboard + quality voiceovers + custom soundtrack via F10 + versions for cold start and hot start + intended for quick fun Enjoy!
  8. I will like to introduce my next Chinook mission - Operation Brass Ring. This is a sling loading and transport mission, playing in 1984 in Germany, with the cold war turning hot. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3347110/ Situation Date: 15 September 1984 Location: Inner-german border, east of Kassel Weather: scattered clouds, winds 6 knots Time: 0800 Local (0600 Zulu) Advance elements of a Warsaw Pact Motorized Brigade have breached the inner-german border east of Kassel and are now advancing on Autobahn A7 west towards Kassel. Reacting to the growing tensions in the preceding days, Royal Air Force Germany (RAFG) and the British Army Of the Rhine (B.A.O.R.) have forward deployed elements of 18 Squadron RAFG and a battery of BAOR L118 field artillery to Fritzlar Army Airfield. In the morning of 15 September the alarm sounds and Chinooks are ordered to transport the L118s to an ambush position following the rapid response doctrine. The battery is set up to engage the advancing enemy at the vital Werra viaducts of the A7, crossing the Werra river - a strategic bottleneck. Task Callsign: Chalk 2 Aircraft: CH-47F Chinook Base of Operations: Fritzlar Army Airfield 1: transport the battery’s ammo (2 palettes) and gunners (3 troops) 2: sling load your assigned L118 (Gun A-B, B gun of A battery) Mission is time critical, stop Ivan before he crosses the Werra and marches on Kassel. You are #2 in a three-ship of Chinooks. Always listen to the instructions given by your flight lead. Your copilot and crewchief also will have relevant informations. Features: + around 100 quality voice overs + cargo ops + sling loading + manual + custom ATC (do NOT use ingame ATC) + custom kneeboard Enjoy! +++ change log +++ 03.10.25 V1.0.1 slowed down enemy convoy, added unload cargo/troops voice over Known issues: AI flies a little weird at the beginning - just ignore them, they will do their job when it counts. AI flies to fast with sling loads. This is reported as a bug, again just ignore them and concentrate on your assigned cargo. One game play hint - if you lose your gun, don't worry, just continue the mission. Your cargo (ammo) and troops (gun crews) are still needed!

  9. I for one am simply not interested in MP. Speaking PvE: I want to fly, when I have time, not when a server happens to be full. I want to fly what (plane and mission) I want, not what is on the menu for some virtual squadron. Speaking PvP: I am in no mood to spawn, do a time consuming cold start only to be blown to pieces on the taxiway, by friend or foe. And yes, my aged brain is simply too slow to compete with teens who spend all their time in front of screen. In short, I simply don't miss anything in my SP world.
  10. Hi everyone, I just updated the mission. It was reported that the tank battle for the Hind near Wolfburg didn't start. This is fixed now. Download link remains the same. Also, I haven't back about the NVA Mi-8 livery - sorry
  11. Fullly agree, the map definitely needs more "life" in the vast areas between the airports.
  12. Hi! First of all - sorry for the late reply. Somehow I did not receive a notification about your post. My apologies. I will have a look after work and change it accordingly.
  13. Hi yes, you can set all the slots to hot start. In my Kola Sandbox I had two versions, one cold and one hot, but that was a pain in the rear to maintain, so I dropped the hot start version. All mission relevant data is in the mission overview PDF, it tells you what your target is and the weapons. For instance USA F-4E Slot 4: Seek & destroy Shilka near Bebra (TPOD) with Mavericks If you are supposed to attack a very specific target, like USSR MiG-21 Slot 3: Attack bridge near Boizenburg (238°, 157km) then the main manual will provide a target photo of it Hope this helps? Looking forward to the OP Firestorm videos (I have the notification turned on ). It is basically a very simple and straightforward mission, but it took me many tries to finally fly it to the end. Problem always was a lack of discipline. It could be so easy - call SEAD, wait for confirmation, keep distance, check George's yellow list with the TADS zoom function - boom TOS gone. But our ego has other plans - "I can do this on my own!" (...and there is still the secondary task waiting)
  14. Hi everybody, I just updated the CWG Sandbox with 5 slots for the new full fidelity MiG-29. The download link remains the same: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3344728/ Enjoy!
  15. Hi everybody, I just updated the Kola Sandbox to version 1.5 Changes include: corrected frequencies added additional slots for F-5, F-16, F/A-18 added slots for full fidelity MiG-29 Download-Link remains the same: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339556/ Enjoy!
  16. Hi, I added slots for the new MiG-29 to my Kola Sandbox (3): and Cold War Germany Sandbox (5): Enjoy!

  17. Thanks! I know it is just a niche a problem, therefor great that you guys are looking into it
  18. @BIGNEWY attached is the sample mission, with just one piece of cargo and one ai helicopter. I wrote everything into the mission description. You will see, the helo picks up the cargo, flies straight to the drop off at 107 knots (yesterday on CWG up to 114 knots with 5 knots wind) and immediately after drop off, it will reduce to the assigned 60 knots. It would be great to have it work like the troop transport - so we can assign a route and drop off the cargo at any given waypoint via advanced waypoint actions. Especially in the mountainous terrain of Afghanistan, that would be highly beneficial, imho. Thanks for looking into it. CG_AI_Sling_Load.miz
  19. I will prepare and upload a sample after work. Thanks for looking into it.
  20. Yes, in theory. But as stated above, when having the AI doing an external cargo transportation, it ignores all waypoints and races directly to the drop off zone. AFTER that, he will fly to his waypoints and adhere to the set restrictions.
  21. Problem is you cannot do so. If I have an AI with advanced waypoint option Cargo transportation (external), it will race in a straight line from pick up to drop off. It also overrides a manually set Group.getByName(myLittleChinook"):getController():setSpeed(30) (also tried to set it in continous trigger) Maybe add a fourth field to the external cargo action to set the speed? Or am I missing an option here (certainly don't want to rule that out).
  22. The AI flies at 110 to 114 knots IAS with for example an L118 as sling load. Way too fast. As a player aircraft, the external cargo will tear off at around 70'ish knots. Not a big issue, but a pain, if you want to build a mission, where the player is not the lead aircraft. So an automatic speed reduction, if a sling load is carried would be very welcome.
  23. I proudly present - my new Apache mission "Operation Firestorm". https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3346851/ Storyline: Syrian HTS rebels obtained TOS-1A thermobaric launchers from abandoned Russian depots at Tartus and are now moving north from Aleppo towards the Turkish (-backed) controlled northern area around Azaz. You are CHAOS1-1, a Turkish Army Apache and your task is to seek & destroy the TOS. Sounds easy? The enemy has a say in this as well and there might be some surprises Key features: 1 to 4 players for single player, multicrew or coop lead Apache with FCR, wingman without for optional coop hunter/killer ops. adaptable difficulty via F10 options dawn and night versions of the mission F-16 CAP and SEAD flights standing by to support you, depending on your actions 110+ quality voice overs custom ATC custom kneeboard PDF manual Enjoy! P.S.: I'd be happy to hear if you liked the mission, but equally happy to hear why you maybe didn't like it. Only such feedback can help me make better missions.
  24. That's really awesome news
  25. Thanks so much for the kind words. So far I did not experience an engine blow up that I didn’t cause myself, but currently I don't have much time to fly. The ai voice swallows the "when" a little bit, yeah. When I adapt this to the Hellcat, I will try to find a human willing to do the voice overs.
