It's because you've marked Mike_Romeo's post as "solution". I think you have to double click middle mouse or mouse wheel (enable visual recon) to enter/exit visual recon mode. After that you bring up red crosshair with right click, and spot/mark with left click.

No, you shouldn't have to box VVSLV, double tapping NWS should be enough.

I think my problem was that I tried to get within 20 clicks, interpreted as 20 km, which is approx 10 NM. I see now, within 20 NM is sufficient...

Ah, yes, that helped. It would be even better if the fail message would be something along the lines "you broke the ROE" and not "you are not within range". Thank you for replying! Great campaign so far!

Now I have failed this mission twice. I get close to the Bandar el Lengeh, shoot down the four Migs, but when I try to get the image after that, I get a message: "you can't have been within 20 clicks, try again", and when I try again, I get a failed mission screen. This last time I was DEFINITELY within 20 clicks. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it a bug? Appreciate any help! Word! Yesterday I was showing DCS to my girlfriend. I talked her through an entire Hornet startup on the carrier, and when it was finally time to taxi to the cat, whaddoyaknow, an AI runs into her. Sigh. One day in the future, game AI will be intelligent for real. We are not there yet, but I think it's closer than most people think. I just watched the LAMBDA conversation that prompted that Google employee to claim it had gone sentient, and it's scary. I can't say for sure it's NOT sentient... if it's real. Anyway, it would be nice to have an ATC system and wingmen that you could talk to using normal language and not button presses. VAICOM is alright, but it could be so much better if it was properly integrated into the sim.

With the announced coming plane directors and updated deck crew taxi logic, will this be revised? Will we get the ability to choose cold start parking spots for the player?

I just finished mission 15. What an awesome mission! What an awesome campaign! I think it was a lot more realistic, a little more drama in the beginning where you felt for the characters in this than in the previous Raven One campaign, and a little less in the end. The last mission in Raven One was so dramatic with the dawn attack and the dogfight over Iran, and the VERY close fuel call. Hard to match that! But this campaign was so well done, such immense work you put into it! Such attention to detail! A huge thank you for this awesome experience! I really feel like a real Hornet driver now! /Sharkku

Minor detail: In the last half of the mission, after the drop, Sledge 22:s datalink designation changes to 2021, so that there are two contacts in my HMD with number 2021. I think it's because you are killing Sledge 22 and replacing him with Sledge.22. Sledge.22 has the wrong code assigned.

@BIGNEWY can we at least change the tag to "investigating" for this bug? "Can not reproduce" feels like it's just been dismissed.
