  2. Well had to take two attempts on mission 5 the search for Mujaheddin camp. First time I came too close when finding them. got a instant pk. But honestly flying in those cloudy mountains with a purpose was a genius move. A real treat. I simply did not mind doing it twice. I believed it was easy finding them second time but it was not, but learning from the first attempt I did not go over a mountain top I followed the valleys. loving this. Even the detour picking up cargo was just nice. Great job.
  3. Interesting. But how do you do that without looking like a moron by the rest of the household? Voice attack for setting and VAICOM for the ai talk? Sorry I did not know this. Just wondering how this work.
  4. This is how good you get when devoting to Mi8 for almost a year and all you do is trying to get better unfortunately the skills do not stick. If I knew that I probably would have not been so serious about it. Only thing that stuck was startup procedure. I still can do it blindfold some times getting the hook on now can take forever. Other times good enough. But never as coordinated as before. Sticking to one module make you good. Trying to be good in many make average
  5. To be honest I would like a steam punk cockpit with Vietnam features. But I can see the use of an early 2000 version consider the map we have. As I understood it we was to have an Export version ( Italian if memory do not fail me) and with what we have today a US operated is more relevant. I never seen the collective of a chinook is it operated as a normal collective? easy you say? It might be true, but its missions was most definitely not. I have seen videos on what they are capable of doing. It must be a pretty demanding service. I would like to know how the cooperation between the pilots and flight engineers was if you have time.
  6. Well in the mids of Reflected lost paradise campaign for Huey. I forgot the need of choosing how many rockets you want to fire. Rendering me without the ability to fire rockets for month. Until I found out I had to reinstall the Huey. The moment I uninstalled it, I remembered the procedure of firing rockets. so you are not alone.
  7. I currently fly the Gazelle Mad campaign. If you spawn in the sand it is like the heli is glued to the ground. If you correct once the chopper lift off you suddenly get stick authority. Anyone else experience it. No such problem on Tarmac or ship
  8. I got a bit of ocd when it comes to complete missions. This issue bother me. Took another run at it. Got mission accomplished. But a draw. I just skipped the mission. extremely good atmosphere doing this campaign. Flying in gorgeous light with some music added by the creator.
  9. Not related to the campaign. Gazelle has a tendency to glue itself in the terrain almost impossible to take off
  10. First road Patrol mission done. And it was a draw. I just cannot see a reason for it. We took out all the convoy. Both safe and sound. Got the message we done the job and landed. I parked at my spot and were told to shut down. I did and I got the message all was shut down and exited. Result draw
  11. Thank for the reply. I become more confident flying the Gazelle after this campaign. Landings and takeoffs looks pretty professional now, well almost. I usually fly instant missions in this chopper and that do not inspire for a good looking landing or takeoff. Just the crew outside make me sharpen, thinking I need to shape up now when there is witnesses. Voice actors make it also very alive

  13. Yes took up Gazelle campaign again. I see the sling load option for Gazelle is gone but this time I managed to take the passengers. I am so happy for flying Gazelle, by far the most fun and versatile chopper we got. the mission in Mad campaigns is exactly short enough to be able to do them between daily rl tasks. I done them all except AH 64 campaignand are redoing them again. I need to be more proficient in the Ah 64 before starting it. But I would like a MI 24 mad campaign. Thank you again.
  14. *In oilfield campaign this is very noiticeable. During heavy slingload it just dive and almost inrecoverable . Tried to replicate it in a instant action but it was baerly noticable. Anyone else have this problem. Can chang between pilot and co pilot. and to crew chief. when changing from crewchief in the loading bay back to pilot something happens slingfload.mi8 .trk
  15. I do not know, I learned to hate night ops in Russian choppers. DCs has become darker at night and I feel I could handle it better before.
  16. He he. I managed to get home since I had the direction. Annoying bit was I could not find my parking and in a wrong turn I opted for a shortcut between two taxiways. Did you know those small bushes actually tip the chopper over
  17. No, I think it is one of those random failures that can occurred. I did push the engine a lot in order to follow the leader in the turns. He accelerated and climbed pretty hard in those turns and I was stupid enough to follow him instead of just easily catch up with him right after. He flew in a comfortable speed between waypoints. I do like the feel of this campaign. I will continue to report about the progression. Hope you do not mind. I think feedback, albeit being subjective can help.
  18. I was flying at 150 km/h level flight on autopilot. It was nothing wrong with anything until my generators just started to fail. I was just wondering if mission sat it up
  19. I got a at first random failure of both generators then permanent failure of generator just after my leader abandoned me in mission 3 was this planned?

  21. Nothing to it. Main thing is you need to assign a radio push to talk. Many careers do not require setting up radio other specifying what channel to use
  22. Thanks again for a different map than Caucasus. I fly hip a lot so it is my main map when it comes to campaigns. Refreshing with something else
  23. I do not mind it, I just hate taxi behind ai. They stop sometimes before they turn. I usually do 1 mission a day in campaigns, that way I appreciate the procedures and do not hurry things. Taking first 3 was a stretch. I am looking forward to the rest
  24. #3 mission was a bit too much taxiing for me. I failed the mission at the end of taxiing the whole runway and then turn behind the ai leader. I smacked my rotors in his So far it looks promising, but first tree was time consuming
