  1. New clouds = Update DCS 2.7 foreseen on 07 Apr 21...but still subject to change...
  2. Already a huge thank you to Alexander and his team who have been working for months on this project. What we have seen today in the video is already very interesting. Finally, after many months and years of waiting for this module to evolve, we can see how much has already been achieved. And what we can already see is that this module will be simply magnificent, especially when we have an unlimited admiration for this helicopter. I have already watched the video 6 times, I never get tired of it. I'm always the first one to be impatient and sometimes lack patience, but I have no problem waiting several more weeks for the early access (I have still plenty of works to do in my Mi-24 Simpit...like wiring all the switches and buttons) Thxxx ED, Thxxx Alexander
  3. Passions are sometimes heighteined to excess...
  4. Pre-orders soon....Mmmmmmm I like that ! But I have to find the definition of "soon" for ED...
  5. Personnaly, I don't see anythink special...General screenshots as released previously... A Wags movie on a cold & dark startup procedure could make my day !
  6. Thx a lot for your communication Bignewy, really appreciated. Such information should be present in the WE Newsletter so everybody could read it
  7. I agree with your point, you are right, but we don't ask for a date. ED has announced that some modules should be ready during Q1, others during Q2 and it's fine for me. I think that everybody can live with such information. But my point is, for exemple, that ED has annouced the release of the Mosquito before the Hind. We don't have any news on the mosquito since weeks. Same for the OH-58, we don't even have information on the current status of this module. Everybody know that the 2.7 is coming and is still currently expected in the coming days...as announced by ED. Is it still the reality or can we expect a delay as it is the case for the AH-64 Apache pre-order ? Thats' just simple questions on which ED can give simple answers...
  8. Tomorrow, I hope to see a Newsletter with a more specific calendar and more clear announcements like : Release of the 2.7 version ? Release of Mariana Islands ? Release of the Mosquito (no news since a very very very long time) ? News regarding the CURRENT STATUS of the OH-58 Kiowa ? News on the Mi-24P development (what was done since begin of 21 and what should be the next step) ? For sure, it's a lot to ask, but it must be said that some of the topics mentioned above remain a great mystery to most of us... So, Thxxx in advance ED
  9. Last developments :
  10. New clouds will normally come first with DCS 2.7 : two more weeks Mariana Islands should be the next release Hind and the Kiowa on the same time...commercially it would be a very bad choice so most likely one will be before the other. Hind announced in Q2. Q2 start in 15 days...
  11. The Alexander's team, who produced the Mi-8, is currently fully focused on the Mi-24P module. Alexander announced a few weeks ago during a live stream that the Mi-8 multicrew will come later, after the release of the Mi-24P module... Multi-crew for the Mi-8 in DCS: "I would very much like for it to happen, and will personally ask my bosses to allocate resources for this task".
  12. I do the same as you, flying en enjoying the Mi-8 ! And in addittion It give me more time to finish my Mi-24 Simpit
  13. Q2 begin in a little more than 2 weeks but I don't expect a release during April. The Apache Pre-order is now reported later as previously announced (Feb 21). The 2.7 version should normally be available for end of March BUT Bignewy wrote yesterday that if there is a change in the date we will be informed (personally I already feel a postponement). Q2 for the Hind is a three month period until June and this probably gives ED a less restrictive time frame than a date. Now is it certain that the Hind will be available in Q2? Nothing is less certain... We know that everything is subject to change or postponement... The newsletter of this weekend announced once again only vague things...they are working but when will all this be available? Well, that's still a big mystery. We know that ED has a bad tendency to not respect the schedules as announced... Everything else is just speculation and we can only wait passively...
  14. My real Mi-8 SPU-7 connected to DCS via an Arduino Board Sorry for the wrong orientation of the movie https://youtu.be/cI_8djqOK6s
  15. You right, my mistake ! you have to replace no EA for the Hind by no pre-order for the Hind !
  16. There are two different scales for the map display, so there are probably two types of maps available...
  17. All is subject to change but currently, and as announced by ED, the Mi-24 module will normally come first (Q2 2021) and the Apache afterwards. The pre-order for the Apache was announced for Feb 21, it's now delayed till May 21...so I guess that the EA will also be delayed by at least 3 months. As reminder, it seems that there will be no EA for the Hind.
  18. Same for me, An Mi-8 IA/Multricrew and the Mi-24 module...All my dreams come true...
  19. I think that most of the Alexander's team is currently working on the Mi-24. My assessment : First, the release of the MI-24 module and afterwards multicrew and/or AI on the Mi-8
  20. So so long discussion to prove or to demonstrate that the V or the P version is more effective than the other one... From my part, I just seen that the P version was build in accordance of the Afghnistan lessons Learned... Is the 30mm gun more effective than the 12,7mm? Of course is it. Yes ok but you can only engage the target when you are in front of it ? Yes and...so what ??? You must also take into account the Russian tactics and doctrines that were in use at the time regarding for combat helicopters in the event of conflict with NATO. It was not a question of using the Hind as a predator hidden behind a tree, but rather of using it as a rocket truck that would pound opposing positions with all its armament. All this in support of an armoured assault already supported by tactical aviation and massive artillery support. So yes, the use of a 30mm gun is totally justified. And if it is a question of dislodging insurgents in mountainous areas in Syria, as was already the case in Afghanistan, then once again the use of the 30mm is completely justified. So personnaly I have not problem with the P version in DCS. As I know, it's the only "old" version of the Hind that is still operated (also in combat Ops) by the Russian forces. If you want to use the Hind in DCS like an Apache...by the Apache module !
  21. Hi, I will start very soon my first connection of a Teensy card with DCS-BIOS. The goal is to connect the SPU-7 of the HIP. There seems to be a conflict in the export.lua file when playing multiplayer with the use of SRS. Has anyone experienced this problem before and is there a solution? Thank you in advance...
  22. It's definitely not from DCS, another flight sim...
  23. For sure, the job done by ED during the last months is magnificent and what is to come is also a very good sign but it is true that the update of certain vehicles and planes as well as the arrival of projects announced since a very long time (SA-5, KS-19,...) are long overdue. ED has already announced that some airplanes should be updated during 2021 and that some new vehicles should also come in the following months. I hope that this will be confirmed because it is excellent news...and essential to improve an even more realistic immersion. The work done on the latest vehicles like the ZSU-57-2, the BTR-80A and the T-72 BM3 is just breathtaking and we hope to see further achievements in the coming months. To be continued...
  24. Nice graphics New SAM systems like SA-12, SA-20, SA-24,... Tested on my open beta...great job ! Video in french
  25. Installed !
