Hi, With the upcoming arrival (announced in 2020 by ED) of the Mi-24 module, I decided to start building a new Simpit. First step: taking pictures and measurements in a real Mi-24 cockpit. So this Monday I went to the Brussels Royal Army Museum, in the air section, to visit the ex-DDR Mi-24 Hind-D (Mi-24P). Below is the link with all the pictures...Be careful, the file is only available for a few days. https://we.tl/t-GPvOfzXjVs Pictures also available on Google : https://photos.app.goo.gl/QZiGfgWH4c38FzXF8 More pictures and informations on my project will follow during the next months... Next task : draw the plan for the carpenter :) Enjoy ! Chris

Why is it So hard to land the MI 8
Razorback replied to tusler's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
it seems to me that the Mi-8 is less sensitive to vortex since the last DCS 2.5 Open Beta update (last Wednesday) ? Did anyone else find that out as well? -
Let's let the ED guys do their work! Most of ED's announcements for 2019 have been well done as announced. There are many new projects for 2020 and I hope that most of these projects will be finalized as announced. There is no such thing as a perfect world and there are always remarks and frustrations. Let's look 12 months from now before taking conclusions. Personally I am waiting for the Mi-24 after years of announcements without seeing anything happen... Mi-24 Hind released in 2020...Whatch out ED I am looking for you ! :music_whistling:

I could be interested. Reason for sale ? Extension : 100 or 200 mm ? Could you add more pictures of the stick, the base and other stuff in the box ? Thxx Chris BELGIUM

-
Woawwww just amazing ! I will start the building a my Mi-24 simpit very soon. Are you planning to build the same collective but with the same Mi-8/Mi-24 look a like ? If it's the case, for sure I will ordered one !

Same for me. It was working perfectly some weeks ago and now the front view shows the chest of the gunner. Impossible to aim correctly with the mouse... I dont' know if it was after the last update (DCS 2.5 OpenBeta) -
The book will be available in two weeks...for sure some feedback when received

Some good news regarding the Mi-24 !!:megalol: (Finally) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4160206&postcount=232 "The Mi-24P has been in development for the past year, and it is on track to be released in 2020. The HIND will be the next helicopter for DCS World and will include cooperative multiplayer, next-generation graphics for the external model and cockpit, and a wide range of mission types from anti-armor attack to troop transport." The Mi-24P will be an outstanding partner to the Mi-8MVT2!

I have an older version (2.5.3) on my D: Drive I just tested and it's working fine. I am now moving this version on my C: Drive (SSD Drive) I let you know when update and loaded with some of my last modules (F-14 & Mi-8)

So, I followed step by step what you request and it is still not resolved. Same issue. The game is still freezing when loading a mission (except for the missions edited by myself) Log File https://we.tl/t-PyOyL5OAEo

Thx for your first input. Windows is up to date (Win 10 last version). I have done a cleanup and a repair, same issue. DCS log ? could you tell me more on that ? Thxx Chris

I am currently on the Mi-8. Everytime that I want to launch an INSTANT ACTION, CREATE FAST MISSION or MISSION on DCS, the game is crashing (Open Beat 2.5). It's not only happenning with the Mi-8 module, same issues with my other installed modules like KA-50, F-14,... I am not in multiplayer and other missions created under the mission editor are working perfectly without any crashes! Some of the mission are freezing during the loading process "Wait for Pooled tasks 2" or when zooming on the map. Thx a lot for your help, Chris

The results are in line with the various user feedback. It is nevertheless interesting to see that a 3rd party win the prize for the most successful module of the year...A little slap for ED. Many are hopping that Heatblur to complete many projects often announced by ED but still pending. We hope that this collaboration will continue to be very fruitful in the years to come. What is certain is that Heatblur has a bright future in aerial simulation. We look forward to discovering their next module! Long live the year 2020!
