  1. In the latest open beta patch aircraft no longer explode, when starting on the ground. Just tried it with the A-4E. Problem has been solved. :)
  2. Su-27. Optisch und aerodynamisch ein Leckerbissen. :D
  3. Replace the picture with a blank sheet or text? Never!!! ;) Don't you know the legendary A-4 intro in "The sum of all fears"? That place in the cockpit belongs to my girl's picture! :D
  4. Well, if that bridle is visible or not - I don't really care. It's much more important that the carrier start is improved.
  5. Interesting! Never heared about the bridle. Then we probably won't get a launch bar in version 1.03. Is that correct, Nero.ger?
  6. And the meaning behing this post is???
  7. The guy always just wants to provoke. I have never read anything reasonable from him. Just a troll...:P
  8. Good to hear it's working. I hope you enjoy the A-4E. I like it very much. Can't wait for the new version 1.03.
  9. Hi Chris, I've got 3 SSDs im my PC. The operating system is on drive C, most of my programs and backups on drive D and my games on drive E. DCS World is installed on drive E (one folder for the stable and one for the beta version). The 'Saved Games' folder was created on drive C and this is where all my userfiles for DCS were installed, too. DCS never installed anything on my drive D. So if your problem persists, you should try it with a report to the devs. Maybe they can help. Good luck! :)
  10. Just one more thing before you try it with a re-install. Have you already tried a repair (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Repair DCS World)?
  11. Will there be another hotfix or do we have to wait until next regular build?
  12. Well, if there was no entry for Saved Games or DCS in your users folder, I suppose you never flew any other aircraft in DCS (like the free Su-25 or TF-51), because if you did, those folders should have been created by DCS World. Don't know if creating them manually could have caused the problems you have now. So I would suggest you to fly a mission with one of the two mentioned free modules. Maybe still missing folders will then be automatically created by DCS? Then try it with the A-4E again. If it still doesn't work, i would uninstall DCS, make a clean DCS World install (I suppose you haven't deleted the installer yet), then fly a mission with the included aircraft and install the A-4E-C mod after that. And your 'Users' folder should normally be on the partition of your HDD or SSD, where your operating system is installed, unless you haven't changed that manually for some reason.
  13. Maybe submit a bug-report here: https://goo.gl/forms/8Pe2Cw9Ax5VEyqe53 (The original link is in post #1 of this thread).
  14. This is how my DCS install folder looks like (attached image). There should definitely be no A-4E-C folder in 'F:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft'. In this folder only full modules should be listed, no mods. The A-4E-C folder should be in the 'users' folder only. If that still doesn't work, I have no idea why.
  15. This is how your folders should be (see added snapshot). Bear in mind I'm using a German version of Windows 10. So your folder should be C:\Users\your_username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\A-4E-C. If you're using the stable version not the open beta, the folder should be C:\Users\your_username\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft\A-4E-C. If that still doesn't work, check that you haven't installed it twice. The mod folders should NOT be in your DCS World install folder but in the 'users' folder. :)
  16. Problem persists with version 2.5.4.27430 Beta (Hotfix) released today. Still explodes in a blaze of glory.
  17. F/A-18C geht in Rente https://www.flugrevue.de/militaer/blue-blasters-staffel-us-navy-stellt-f-a-18c-hornet-ausser-dienst/
  18. Well, I don't think ED owes us an apology, but they could at least say a few words about the further development of the Yak-52. Of corse it is EA but with this development speed it will probably take 10 years to get it out of the EA state... :music_whistling:
  19. Oh, I didn't know that you are actually flying airliners and earlier even fighters IRL. If flying without weapons is interesting for you, then I can understand that now. You had the opportunity to fly real fighters. Most of the others here (like me, by the way) have only had the possibility to fly combat aircraft on the PC. Therefore, it is probably understandable why we also like to hang weapons on the wings and then learn how to use them. :smilewink:
  20. Yes, you're right, I didn't read all your posts before. But if you are only interested in the flying part, I wonder why you stated this: 'Too bad as Flanker and DCS always were my top flight sims!'? Both, Flanker and DCS simulate fighters and attack aircraft. They are built for 'destroying and killing'. It is a digital combat simulator not an airliner or sports simulation. If you own the F-5 and F/A-18 module, do you seriously want to say that you never loaded any weapons under your wings? And if you did, you only carried them with you for flying?
  21. One factor that led to the shoot-down of the F-117A over Yugoslavia was that the NATO aircraft used the same egress path after the bombing missions. The Serbian army had gained this knowledge and just had to position their SAMs along that path. Then the old long-wave radar, maybe opened bay-doors and so on... the F-117A just flew right into a mousetrap. They wouldn't have shot it down under normal conditions. That's why the NATO aircraft changed their egress routes after the shoot-down. This entire story doesn't make the F-117A less capable in my opinion. Probably would have happened to any other aircraft - even one like the F-22. But this is pure speculation. :D
  22. And which other sim are you using? Ace Combat? :megalol:
  23. Did you activate nose or tail fuse?
  24. The link to the current update is always in post #1.
