I have a tough time fighting the shark as well using trim constantly and I'm struggling to learn how to keep control too. Standoff weapons are easy to engage but when I get to gunpods and rockets, it never works out like planned. Having only 10-15 hrs in the sim I know I have a lot to learn but would like to know WHAT I need to learn so I can get past these hurdles. Good post!

Pretty sure just the flight manual in game is 350+ pages with the GUI it might come out that much. Actually thats a good question that may have been asked already. Is the printed manual going to have the GUI manual in it as well or just the flight manual with extra chapters? I printed the GUI manual too and the total page count (also w/ flight manual, Key command and HOTAS layout) is around 600 pages give or take.

I think they already said they wont use it!

Really no need for it to be in color pictures come thru either way but its personal preference if your printing it yourself though I'd like to print out color chapter pages just for the cool factor. Not sure I'll do it though.......

So any new news on your TFT or is it a lost cause?

I thought the problem was with the profiler and Vista not the X52 and game? Although I'm going by hearsay as I dont have an X52pro or Vista.

Additionally Deadsmell if use a headset its pretty easy to "zip tie" the headset wire and Track Clip Wire together then you can plug the headset into the pass thru connector and the TCP into the port. Although I have to admit all of my gear is more or less hard-wired in a sense to my simpit. EDIT: Also if you were disapointed you have no one else but yourself to blame as NP makes no secret of the TCPs design. It says on the site "USB power tap, with USB pass through". Anything with USB in it would mean wired..............:doh:

A friend told me that the manual will have additional chapters and obviously this is true at least by Amazon's info of 500+ pages. My question is will the extra chapters be added to the end of the original manual or will it be a newer updated manual? Reason I ask is that I just printed the manual put in dividers and bound in a binder, and want to know if I'll need to re-print the manual if I dont purchase the spiral bound version. No big deal in either case as I was told it may be a little different but I wanted to have a manual in the meantime anyways.

Brilliant work as usual Trigger! Its guys like you that inspire guys like me to take on projects for pit building I dont know how many pairs of pants have been ruined by watching your progress..... j/k lol!

Are there chapters missing from the manual that ships with the game? Or is there a mis-labeled chapter? Reason I ask is because I printed the manual out and it goes from chapter 6-11 when printing out the chapter title pages. I think chapter 11 is 7 but I guess I'm confusing myself (not the first time lol). If this is something thats been brought up before sorry for bringing it back up. Just want my manual to look pretty (obviously suffer from OCD!). Thanks for looking!

Gotta love electronics and fire lol. I did something to my Buttkicker, replaced the fuse and the new fuse blew as soon as I flipped the switch, so now I have to figure out what went wrong there. I feel as naked without BK as I do without a HOTAS or TrackIR the feedback/feeling it gives you really makes the experience! Good luck on getting that screen to work I'm really looking forward to what you can do with it. Gotta have someone to copy off lol!

Well if theres something I've learned its "If at first you dont succeed, trim, trim again!" Be gentle this bird dont like being pushed around! As for the HUD I'll leave that to the pros.....

You can set up the TIR for longer distances I fly on a 96" screen! And I know you dont want to see the sensor but I see mine a little bit and its no big deal after a couple days you get used to it. But to each his own!

Dam does it ever get dark in Norway? I mean do norwegians sleep?

It only matters if you enjoy your set up and enjoy your simming. I like to make believe like a kid so having a mini pit makes for a more enjoyable experience for me!

Awesome stuff guys Hannibal have you spent time setting up TrackIR I had to tweak mine to get the result I was looking for since I use a proj. as a display. And my TIR isnt really mounted differently than on a monitor so you may just have to play around a bit to get it working to your taste. The sim is not the same without 6DOF IMO! LOL I have to make my own start up vid too, it will be pretty short though my camera can take 5min vids I only press Lwin+Home! I guess I could program that to one of my switches.......... just for giggles!
