  1. Thanks for the heads up will check this out!
  2. Very sad news and it outlook still grimm.
  3. If you want an all in one solution look into the Buttkicker Gamer ( http://www.thebuttkicker.com/gaming/products/bkgr.htm ). Its a good little transducer that does what its supposed too. It comes with everything you need to get it going unless you need to mount it specifically to a simpit. In that case just need a couple parts that can be had at any hardware store anywhere. See my pit thread here: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2565874/Updated_Pit_and_new_Diggs.html#Post2565874
  4. Crap thats right! I'd definitely love to hear your ideas as I've said I'm into a mre generic approach as far as pits go but its great to get ideas and chat about new ones! Thats going to be a killer seat. What kind of pilot are you Flim commercial/private? If commercial I really have questions about the pros and cons of being a proffesional pilot! In any case look forward to talking if we get a chance!
  5. Thanks for the great find Trigger, some really cool stuff there!
  6. Oh dear your not hanging out on the back deck making helicopter noises are you?:pilotfly: Cool stuff man and cool vid! You've really done an amazing job on that stick!:joystick:
  7. ^Cool stuff definitely played a lot of Fighters Anthology as well as EF2000, ATF GOLD, Longbow GOLD and of course not a sim but still one of my favorites XWing vs TIE Fighter! Remember thinking how much PCs owned in those days as far as graphics and content went!
  8. I'd love to have that MIP! But I'd probably wait for the A10 myself as I'm not out to build a replica but more of a pit that can fit the roles of many sims covering helos to jets to WWII Propjobs! Personally I like the having a regular non FSSB stick. But thats just me, easier for me to fly that way
  9. But wouldn't the stick just flop over with garden hose? Sorry couldn't resist........:smartass:
  10. Same here I have each engine mapped to my dual AV8R throttles and set them to auto power before each flight.
  11. I hear you guys on space concerns, my sim room doubles as a home theater so keeping it dual purpose has been work. Watching movies from the simpit vs. the sofa isnt the same!
  12. ^Looking where is it...... Hello is there anybody in there.............. just nod if you can hear me........... Really hoping to hear something on that soon, it was mentioned in a SimHQ thread that they'd like to do an article on it. But other than that those guys have kept quiet for a while now. I know they're a small team and have other obligations that contributes to a slow progression of the sim. This is high on my list of sims to look out for.
  13. Dude seriously gotta love the French (except in Monty Python.....) and french bread and french fry's.......... Really, vive la France! ROFL great work in any case!
  14. Man have you got some free time, wish I could have that free time and money to work on a pit. Great work!
  15. Yeah and if you add in a Buttkicker gamer mounted to your set-up you'll really feel rumble strips and flak and the "its too late just got blown up explosion"!
  16. Definitely have to second the X52 its a great stick for the money. Works great, is highly programmable, lots of buttons and priced right. But don't forget rudder pedals too another good controller to have IF YOU CAN HAVE IT!
  17. Read up on it and any proj. you look at and try and get as much info as to make an informed purchase. That proj. you linked looks nice but remember that proj.s are like TVs and sometimes the market gets flooded and like TVs not all are the same. So just some advice to do your homework!
  18. +1 for the Hog I still fly Flaming Cliffs just for some CAS and good fun. Realistic as DCS no like mentioned but still worth every penny!
  19. Definitely want at least 1024X768 IMHO! Edit: Personally I'm looking to upgrade to higher res. but for now the current proj. is more than adequate!
  20. Start cheap! I bought a Saitek AV8R and modded it into a collective control mainly because of price! The stick was cheap under $40 to take a chance on as for analyzing precision I couldn't tell you. But the precision on my modded AV8R is pretty damn good albeit with a short throw.
  21. Take that with a grain of salt man, I play on an office class projector and it works great other than the limitation of 1024X768. Works great for movies and games though it could be better. If you want the best projector you can absolutely get it but if your just looking for something to watch movies on and play games most projectors fit that bill!
  22. Please include: The name of your squadron DCS-Mercenaries ( www.DCS-Mercenaries.com ) The location of a majority of your players (US, Russia, etc) US Based, some of us are East Coast to West. The time zone most of your players are in See above. The approximate membership of your squad I think we have roughly 5-6 active members now and some MIA Primary language English or ebonics true dat ya dig Goals of your squad (Arcade, hardcore sim vs custom missions, harcore sim head to head vs other squads, etc) Mainly hardcore custom missions The website of your squad, if you have one See above ^^^ Membership requirements (if any) CAT 101 can answer this better! Actually Cat can answer all these questions better than I can we basically a group of adults who like full real and a good time one of us may occasionally drink while flying (I mean fly while drinking.....) Hitch EDIT: Best squad advertisement ever!
  23. And he wasn't able to destroy the ships so what was his point? This was the guy I was talking about in another post the other day. Wasn't he launching like 6 at a time too? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41625 Next time he gets a ramwinder before getting kicked, scissor action with blades ya dig!
  24. Very cool stuff there looking forward to seeing what you put together. Never can have enough simpit builders!
