Yeah, Depth of Field is uselss. Your PC is bottlenecked by your CPU FYI. If you can overclock you CPU, you will see quite the performance increase. DCS is very CPU bound and it loves high core clock speed. Also, turning down Civilian traffic will help some of the CPU overhead.

Steam at 100% and DCS PD at 1.3 is the sweet spot for the Odyssey+. Dont get why people try to go higher with these settings. The image gets too fuzzy.

I highly advise against wearing glasses with the Odyssey+. There is not a lot of room and you WILL scratch them. Just be patient and get the prescription lenses or get yourself some contacts.

If you are using a WMR HMD, When you put it on, it launches the cliff house. There is a desktop window in there you can click on DCS and launch it from there. Then DCS will load in the HMD and off you go.

The Odyssey+ has a higher resolutions and an Anti-SDE filter. It will look significantly better than the Lenovo. In fact it looks way better than all the headsets I have had / tried in DCS (rift, vive, vive pro, original odyssey). Either wait for it to go on sale again, or settle on the lenovo.

Odyssey+ is amazing. Get it and put the TrackIR in a box somewhere. Give yourself to get over any motion sickness you may have, you will get used to it.:thumbup:

I am running the Corsair H115i RGB kit. My 9700K at 5 ghz doesn't go over 60°C, solid AIO cooler. I'm sure the Soldered chip design helps too. Also, RAM speed helps FPS too. When I built my new machine, I forgot to set the XMP profile and the RAM was stuck at 2133. When I enabled it, I jumped up 5 FPS (at least) just in that adjustment alone. I then did the overclock and got even more FPS out of DCS.

Formation flying, you look at the other aircraft an gauge speed that way not via an airspeed indicator. Use FF gauge and IAS gauge to calculate the optimum Fuel Consumption vs speed you need.

1. SteamVR on Beta or Release? Beta for SteamVR and WMR 2. Reprojection On or Off? Off 3. Any tweak of the HW like OC? i7-9700K is OC at 5ghz, 1070 has a small OC but it makes zero difference if it set to stock.
