  1. Makes sure you don't have anything else mapping itself to the thrust Axis' in the controls. Check rudder pedals (brakes like to auto map to the throttle) as well as any game pads. Something is negating your inputs. EDIT: best thing to do, is clear our all of your mappings in teh AXIS Commands drop down, then map everything again one by one.
  2. That is what I am saying. when you go to land, this happens. The farther away from the ship, the higher you go. It is tied to the pitch and roll of the ship. If the weather is worse, you will go even higher. Calm winds, you will go only a few hundred feet (more the further away you are form the ship). EDIT: Pay attention next time you go out and see this. the bounding aircraft does not hit the same height every time, as it is dependent on the ships random pitch and roll.
  3.
  4. The bouncing is actually in sync with the ships pitching and rolling that it took off from. The farther away from the ship you took off from, the more exaggerate the bouncing will be. This also happens to Harriers FYI.
  5. install it via saved games and you dont have to. that is what I did and haven't had to do anything with it since.
  6. Because he is one of the main SME's for HB.
  7. he is talking about the Hat switch, not he TDC joystick.
  8. I dont have this issue.... I also have motion blur turned off.
  9. It's excellent, much better than all of the other headsets. I had the Rift and original odyssey and have used the Vive and Vive Pro (has same screens as the original odyssey). I have found that PD of 1.3 give the best clarity in the sim.
  10. well, you cant hear the AB in the cockpit in the real jet. Only for a short time on takeoff until the airflow over the canopy and forward movement drown it out. And no, it's external sounds only.
  11. The higher you are, the larger the error will be with unguided munitions. It is best to use CCIP at altitude. CCRP will work fine when low and using a high drag bomb.
  12. Run the hornet sound mod. It sounds 10,000 times better.
  13. Heatblur said you can in single player.
  14. The best part? You will still buy it at release, and HB will make and extra $10 off of you.
  15. Y does not provide DME, only X does.
  16. Yup, learn the basics first... then go fight.
  17. Just making basic inferences based off of the information Cobra provided, you can come to a fairly easy conclusion.
  18. Well, based on his above statement, it will be no different than anything else. Even less some....
  19. It will be the same.... the same number of pilots that are on every night will be on. Even if they Pilot / RIO it, there will still be the same crowd of people.
  20. yup, means you have a slight cross wind to the right. It is the right wing ling of the ghost velocity vector. If you had more of a cross wind, you would see the whole VV. When in A2A mode, your HUD cage itself to keep things lined up on the center of the HUD.
  21. not to mention the poor FSX / P3D flight model limitations.
