  1. Hi Pike. This is where I aim with Gbu38 in TOO mode + A-track to get the best results (lowest central visible point of target). If I use P-track I get relatively bad results. Note in this video the conditions are optimum (no wind/turbulence, tank platoon is set to not disperse under fire and shows rear aspect). It's not always a direct hit but if not, it at least deals damage.
  2. I just took a ride with A10c - using Flir. No issue here but on my previous flight some times ago (1 or 2 monthes ?) I had the same issue (even a smoke marker was a blinding light source in Whot Flir). All I can say is I have chimney smoke to zero, I have latest NV driver (445.87, installed with custom option to cleanup prior to install). I have noticed with Flir issue that Fxo Metashadders2 have no effect, but a clean driver install usually does. EDIT : Also reboot after clean driver install.
  3. I only know how to do it using M.I.S.T. lat, lon = coord.LOtoLL(unitSpawnZone) LatLong = mist.tostringLL(lat, lon, 2) missionCommands.addCommand('LAT LON: ' .. LatLong .. '.', desiredMenuPath, EmptyFunction) gives latitude longitude in deg, min, %min.
  4. AI wingmen should wait for moving until player starts rolling/taxiing after cold start, like the way they do after a hot start.
  5. I'm adding input and 2 tracks to this thread. I've just tried with many mk82 drops and I've found that speed (or instead angle of attack) has an impact on dumb bomb auto release precision. (maybe for the reason given by Theranthil) At the same parameters than OP (default weather on PG - 325 knots - 15K feet above sea/target -a T72B) I consistently hit a bit long. Not as far away as OP I think because (IDK which matters the most) I'm lasing before TGT designation, and I'm updating the TGT point 10 sec before TTR. At just a lower speed (290 knots) / higher AOA, the hits are consistently near spot on or spot on. Here 2 tracks (1 at 325 knots and 1 at 290 knots) with for each 2 bomb drops from opposite directions. At 290 knots the T72B is destroyed on second hit. 6. I tried this task with all 4 maps, cold - hot - air start with different eras' planes and all was working good, no issue. Very fun ! It's true that WWII bomber's gunners are champs.
  7. Very cool. I noticed something about wingmen behavior : I just tried Normandy with Spit, against bombers+escort on intermediate difficulty. I engaged escort and all went OK the whole flight engaged also, but after that I engaged the bombers but the 2 remaining wingmen, while showing no damage on F2 view, did RTB so I was alone against bombers. EDIT : but maybe they were out of ammo and all is normal I'll try further. EDIT 2 : yes all is good and works OK.
  8. It's not supposed to, but maybe it's still W.I.P. I've reported that before ( https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=261051&highlight=wpn+knob ) and it's the same with MSL knob for Aim-9 tone volume in the F16c.
  9. I don't think from your description that you do anything wrong, but for me it works normally (CCRP I have to hold pickle until cue meet Velocity vector, and in CCIP pickle is instantaneous only if piper is true CCIP and not delayed one with delay cue still above the piper). try some basics : delete pickle button and map it again, do a repair/cleanup of DCS ( https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/ )
  10. 2 days free trial is imo too short to fall in love with some modules. 1 Week seems perfect to me. Now I love several modules I didn't thought I would, and will pick up at least 1 (the Spit) and maybe others (Sabre and TigerII are also super, just maybe would benefit from a kind of cockpit rework like Spit, Mustang, BlackShark and A10 received).
  11. Sorry I missed all the context. I tried and no surprise it was horrible. I put max temp (50°c) and max turbulence - but the max was 60*0.1 not 100 (100 went back to 60 when clicking outside the box). EDIT : my units are meters/sec not feet/sec...
  12. Probably because W.I.P. but in CCIP modes the TGP is not centered with piper like shown in flight manual p.154. In both guns and bombs CCIP modes there is an offset, and in rockets mode the TGP is static on WP.
  13. Something you have surely planned : I hope when WWII assets pack recent beta update (with A20, Ju88, …) will come to stable DCS, you will update enemy spawning WWII bombers with the new models (actually of course only B17 whatever the plane player chooses).
  14. Theodore42 on your video I can see what other exp. users saw on my own "wrong" way to do (so now I do it, at least for this point, correctly) : Your "E" bracket is totally moving up and down during all final approach, instead of being Always perfectly centered with the Velocity vector. That is meaning you are using pitch which is wrong (it would only be correct for small adjustment for Desc.Rate before being on glide slope if you were using ATC approach mode). You should trim AOA when full falps down so bracket is centered stable and then never pitch again until touch down, only adjusting descent rate by throttle input (walking it being the right way to compensate spool). Hippo I also have single throttle, but when in landing config and trimmed AOA everything is totally stable and easy with throttle - going straight or turning - if not for you I only think about bad trim because it was hard for me before doing right. Best to show a little video so users can quickly help I think (not me I don't have RL knowledge except gliders, but sometimes I've learn Something from others so I can say something). Also the way ICLS is showing where to go, the way you have to anticipate its slowing reaching right path, is a matter of usage - before having good habbit of it it's easy to overshoot, overcorrect etc...
  15. Thank you for this quick fix
  16. Shadows High (for cockpit) / ground shadows off (and water High). I'll try to reproduce + track - trigger may not be the AC carrier turning. For the "water drop" effect bug I don't know if I can reproduce. It's not related to missiles Fallen in water like DorianR666 said.
  17. Thanks ! it's really the perfect mission during this month with so many new modules to try. Options offered in your F10 radio menu are numerous enough to cover everything the user wants to set for quick action scenarios.
  18. In the 2 pictures from Guiness75, it's written "SLI disabled", even if he selected "maximize 3d perf" so I think (? I never ran sli) that no sli profile is effectively associated to DCS' executable. With DCS 2D I know several users did cooked working (scaled results) sli profiles, but with drawbacks (some rendering issues). But in DCS VR no such things that I know, like others said because makers of VR material don't have it in their software ?
  19. I remember I had this "bug" once some time ago, being unable to undesignate an aircraft STT lock with WH's pinky button. I don't think I did anything special, and since it never occured again. Maybe it's related to a specific circumpstance ? Maybe it's some kind of corruption that can be solved by a DCS repair procedure ? Like you the button was functionnal and correctly mapped in control settings.
  20. When the landing deck on Stennis is occupied, even briefly like a Hornet landing and taxiing away, while the CH53 has announced RTB, the helicopter (that normally lands in front of landing deck) lands on water. Here a track (I occupy with Hornet the deck some seconds during CH53's RTB procedure). EDIT : I'm really not sure it could be called a bug, because where would the helicopter land if his spot is occupied, even briefly ? (he doesn't know for how long it is…) CH53-landing-bug.trk
  21. Stennis turning bugs bubbles effect I saw this when Stennis is turning :
  22. Hi sigmet ! Much thanks for your work on this set of 4 missions, great great work !! Please have a look on the Normandy version, as enemy doesn't spawn with enemy coalition, but neutral coalition so there is no fight back. The 3 other missions on the 3 other maps are OK on this.
  23. "...we have doubled our user base in the last 12 months and continue to grow…" Glad to know. It's well disserved. Thanks ED and affiliated teams. I have no comment on the roadmap. DCS Hornet is a Jewell in a treasure chest.
  24. No it doesn't seem to work, which seems normal because there is no slave mode to piper (as it is now with actual lightening pod) - You can't shoot laser if not in Atrack or Ptrack mode and in these modes TGP center is static. I see a recticle ("RTCL") button but doesn't seem functionnal (I'll watch again Wags' video about TGP to see if he talks about it). EDIT : in Wags' 3 targeting pod videos there is only this mantion about reticle : "(adding)...some different reticles and some other item that further flush it out". I think RTCL button will affect only TGP reticle symbology ? I also think a mode to slave TGP to CCIP reticle may be part of remaining pointing modes to be added. Actually CCIP with hornet seems very precise, even if there is a big difference between target's altitude and altitude of the point used for radar altitude calculation. Maybe this will be degraded to feature a more precise CCIP with lasing ?
  25. I found how to quickly replicate this bug. Track joined (Happens when wingman is taxiing while the aircraft carrier is turning. Maybe the angle of turn in WPts I've set is to tight for the carrier I don't know - but it's the trigger). Hornet-AI-bug-Stennis-turning.trk
