  1. I prefer using 'Search then Engage' and specify a range. Then they will attack inside that range only, at any given point or time of their flight plan, if they detect the bandit. And as mentioned, delete CAP. They will be as aggressive as they are in 'CAP', but they wont be running off across the map.
  2. 7m20s in for the most awesome afterburner show.
  3. Im running in OpenBeta, hence the openbeta in the path: C:\Users\'username'\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\F-14B But these files (in saved games) wont be touched when uninstalling, reinstalling, repair, update etc, so try and rename (just to keep your mappings, just in case) the F-14B folder, and see if the problem gets solved when the game creates a new F-14B folder and files, next time you start the game.
  4. F-14A + a bunch of glossy white belly Navy liveries. TWS Auto Forrestal A-6 AI
  5. Im afraid thats is just the AI Tornado's, IDS and GR4.
  6. Periscopefilm is a great source for Tomcat goodies (and other jets). A simple 'F-14' search string in their archive: https://www.youtube.com/user/PeriscopeFilm/search?query=f-14

  8. Amazing read, thank you for this bies .
  9. 'VTB Viewport ON/OFF' in your Mirage controls.
  10. Agree on the cockpit being too dark. Its supposed to be a bubble canopy, illuminated by the sky/ambient light all around, yet it looks like it has a roof. Can just see the white writing, its far from white. This is a general problem in DCS I find. Cockpits are generally too dark imo, and yes I use default 2.2 gamma. I have even been higher to counter the dark pits.
  11. Each 'o' in Nine's soon represents one week, so in 7 weeks.
  12. Will it be available for RWS down the line though, or is it a TWS only thing?
  13. You can always map the given OSB buttons, thats what I have done. I always have the radar display up on the right DDI, and then I mapped the most used functions to a button box (can just use keyboard too of course or if you have plenty of buttons free on HOTAS). Enable tool tips before mapping, so you can see which OSB button it is.
  14. J-8II F I find very interesting. A 'Su-15' if you like.
  15. Riiiight. Lets use our artists on code shall we... Hey flight attendant.. Hey. Yes you! A pilot called in sick, can you fly this 747 to Dubai please? Instruction manual is in the cockpit somewhere. You know planes, you work there, so shouldnt be a problem.

  17. Yea would be nice, including the Optical Landing System. Something we could add to any given runway in the Mission Editor. https://www.quora.com/How-do-Navy-Pilots-practice-aircraft-carrier-landings-before-they-actually-land-on-an-aircraft-carrier
  18. Cant say I have experienced that. I have no problems finding, TWS and STT lock targets, and keeping them there, and have successful engagements. Thats anything between MiG-21/F-5E/F-16 sized to Tu-95 Bear size and all aspects, speed ranges and altitudes. Combat modes included (I use boresight and vertical scan <- mostly this). This is latest Open Beta and in singleplayer, custom missions, and B-Scope should that make a difference.
  19. I guess Friday the 13th is your trigger date.
  20. Do you mean the image doesnt take up all the screen space? Could very well be your monitor, so a setting somewhere in your monitors menu.
  21. Thank you again
  22. Im guessing this should work, even when not logged in to FB (just tried):
