If you place custom liveries in the game folders, then it will be replaced during a game update. Goes for any file. So instead use your Saved Games folder. So incase of the Mirage, that would be here: C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\M-2000C or C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\M-2000C If the folder doesnt exist, create it.

I must not understand what Harlikwin asked then?

Hadnt flown it for a while, so wasnt aware that hadnt worked. But does now. I have been practicing Mk82 deliveries for a couple of evenings now, trying to find good approaches of designating target, and then of course keep it stable in roll for accuracy etc. Cant remember if the diamond designator was a little off in the past, but it is now. Dont designate with its center, use the lowest point, plus a pixel or two - actually handy, cause then you arent blocking the target. Havent tried GBU-12's, so no idea on those. Beluga's and Snakeeyes work fine with CCIP, and so does rockets and AG gun too (AG gun needs a little fiddle, doesnt select first time around it just goes into ACM modes).

I could swear I saw a Viggen pass underneath it :)

Spitfire: A Cinematic Documentary (2018)
Knock-Knock replied to Pally's topic in Military and Aviation
It is a commercial product and its 'Youtube movies', so you have to buy or rent it, to watch it. And I guess its regional, cause it doesnt show up here. Well or maybe its a free view in given regions? It is this one: -
Im seeking some clarification on mixed loadouts, caused Im a bit confused. From the manual: Yet there are 3 standard loadouts, BLG-66 Support, Mk-82 Support, Mk-82S Support, that all contain 2x Magics, 2x 530D, 4x given A/G, and they work. So, this is as it should be, its supposed to work?

Hmm.. I dont know actually, cant remember - think so. Just old habit to give it two clicks, so not really looking to see.

Picture knicked from here, article (danish) about a new book about Danish F-16's and their pilots. https://bog.dk/thomas-met-kristensen-f-16-pa-vingerne-med-danske-jagerpiloter/

Same as before. Works here, both on the VTB and in HUD. Turn the IFF Power switch all the way to the right (Cont), and use IFF Interrogate / Nosewheel steering button to interrogate. Diamond inside the 'V' contact on VTB is friendly, and 'A' inside lock box on HUD is friendly.

Mirage Radar dropping tracks in multi-bar search mode.
Knock-Knock replied to Wheelyjoe's topic in M-2000
I wonder if this is actually a bug? With memory on the contacts, then especially in close range and heavy maneuvering, this/these contacts would not be a very true representation, until the next sweep/update, and you could be trying to lock ghosts. At least with the current functionality, you always know what you get, and in close (where the party is at with this bird) when you have selected your target, you just go into narrow azimuth and 1 bar scan, and its not disappearing, plus you wont be chasing ghosts. The almighty AWG-9 in the Tomcat has TWS restrictions. You wont get sufficient data in wide search pattern with 4-6 bars, you have to be in narrower search etc. Plus this RDI, how old is the one we are simulation? 1984 when fine tuned, but otherwise from late 70's? Its probably a quite limited unit, compared to what we have been used to. Plus its made for intercepts, so you would focus on a single or small group of contacts with narrow search and 1 bar probably. Im not surprised if this is actually intended functionality. But Id admit, as a 'creative freedom' I would fade contacts out over say 2-3 seconds. So when a contact is updated its at its strongest and then it immediately starts fading out over set time etc. Maybe not as design function but perhaps to simulated after glow (is it a cathode tube actually?). -

Thank you, appreciated .

Is there any way to move the camera below ground
Knock-Knock replied to Capn kamikaze's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
Mole's. -
@Timghetta For what its worth, I think you absolutely nailed the Mirage cockpit. Immersion level just went up ten fold, and the canopy / HUD has the best in game look and balance of reflections, glare, tint, transparency, both with shadows on and off. Thank you.

Loving the new pit. Very well done

Should mention that my first impulse was some fortifications for armor positions, but then checked up at the Iraq / Iran border, but nothing there resembles this.

Just spotted these boomerang shaped features on the PG map, and they are there on Google maps too. Any idea what they are? https://www.google.com/maps/@26.9232501,55.4698945,2970m/data=!3m1!1e3

Cannot make HUD SOI if either MFCD is in sensor mode
Knock-Knock replied to Warmbrak's topic in Bugs and Problems
Nope, flew it yesterday and day before yesterday in latest OB, and it all worked as it should. Was slaving to markpoints with TGP and Mav's, and had no problem making HUD SOI with those MFD pages active. -
Anyone come across this beast?

Could make a 'One sticky to rule them all' and in that is links to all the threads that are sticky today. Then new stickies are sticky for a month, after which they unsticky and will be linked to in the 'One sticky to rule them all'.

Can try with this one. I made it and been using it for just that - and gave it a wrapping of sorts :) Mission Briefing: Black Sea Intercepts.miz

And actually no. Just read the comments of Part 2, and Part 1 is removed due to copyright issues. Part 2 is too actually, the one they link to from their website: http://checkertails.org/ But some further digging, from their facebook page, they link to a google drive where you can grab all 3 parts. https://www.facebook.com/groups/174579884765/permalink/10157720501704766/

After having watched the first two links above, I think link 2 first then link 1 is the more correct order. 2nd link (Checkertails Part 2 - The History of the 325th Fighter Group in WW2) follows them from beginning to end, including many pilot and crew interviews. Link 1 is more pilot and crew interviews. Great great stuff.

Came across this excellent documentary last night. Indepth interviews with 325th Checkertail pilots and crewmen. 2h36m 2h35m And I believe this to be the 3rd part, its archive footage of 325th. 2h42m
