  1. Never mind, found it http://roe.ru/eng/catalog/aerospace-systems/air-to-air-missile/kh-29te/
  2. Quite cool this. Can zoom like crazy  https://gigarama.ru/maks2019/ What is that huge missile under the wing of the MiG-29CMT (far right)?
  3. Haha . Or Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr (the goats pulling Thors chariot) hauling Mjolnir to its date.
  4. Well there are these in development: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3803475&postcount=131 Can see there is a Navigation and Data sub level section too, so still unknown what exactly we will be able to adjust there, and what else is to come.
  5. There is a nice discussion on the topic here, with some really fresh info from NineLine https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4024133#post4024133
  6. OB 2.5.5.34864 Smoke marker on unit, a late activated unit (group), will smoke before its activated. Attached small example. Late activated unit will activate after 15 seconds, in the middle of the X-runway - look for smoke. Other unit is just to have a camera at this location. Smoke marker on unit.miz
  7. Just ran into this offline, a mission with weapon restrictions. Viggen wont load the rockets, which arent restricted (not by amount either). In a mission with no restrictions, no problem. Dont know if a Viggen specific problem or general DCS?
  8. Is this OB or stable?
  9. I would very much like a save game option, cause then I can finally work my way trough my large sandbox missions. In other words, save my progress in large missions that is more than a single sortie. For me it wouldnt be stopping mid air, or even having to be alive to save. I want to save my destruction, fly all the planes I own, use them in their various roles etc, and work my way trough a map filled with SAM sites, strikes targets, CAS targets, shipping etc etc. Has nothing to do with being realistic or not, or a cheat.
  10. THE FIRST FIVE DAYS COLD WAR in EUROPE NATO MOVIE 1970s USAF AEROSPACE DEFENSE COMMAND F-102s / F-4 PHANTOMS INTERCEPTING SOVIET AIRCRAFT Carrier Sea Legs
  11. No idea how accurate obviously, but still interesting. http://climateviewer.org/pollution-and-privacy/government-and-surveillance/maps/fortress-russia-air-defence-radar-sam-sites/

  13. Is it even able to, in real life? Two missiles to sink a 1000 tonnes warship? I know a single Harpoon missile can wreak havoc on summer cottages though :).
  14. Oh Ok. During my test I was just sitting in my own plane (on ramp) and looking at the map while an immortal AI blasted over an airbase and various SAM sites, and uncovered those. So I guess one could do the pass, get to safety (out of range) - hit the autopilot if available, and then jump into the map and quickly throw some map marks around. Or have a buddy mark'em.
  15. Was just fooling around with Fog of War map setting and noticed that when I had AI planes fly over an airbase in this case, which had various point defenses, units and statics, that these would appear on the map. Emitters would show sooner and you didnt have to fly right overhead. But for the statics, units and point defenses, you had to be pretty much on top - couple hundred meters cone. The slower you/ai was, the more 'detail'. Altitude didnt seem to have to big an impact - I tried from 300 to 10k feet. Well, emitters would appear sooner (or further away) the higher the altitude. Setting task to reconnaissance didnt seem to impact the result either. Had the same results with a Viggen set to nothing and reconnaissance, and a F-5E at nothing. Well never the same results, it varies a little. Same condition, reloaded mission, slightly different results. They dont stay visible for long though. About 5-10 minutes. All units and statics were stationary in my test here. I had noticed that Awacs for example, in Fog of War, would pop various units, usually emitters, so that led me to try this, see if it made a difference, and it sure did. Just wish the stationary stuff would remain visible, since they have been detected now. Or maybe this is old news, and I have just been under a rock :)
  16. I believe this is on the module, the developer of it have to populate some file or files? Razbam did it with their Harrier for example.
  17. I also cruise it at 90%
  18. Sniffing around some more. Quite a lot happening in a small area there. A helicopter base https://www.google.com/maps/@54.9343333,19.9830007,1014m/data=!3m1!1e3 S-300 or S-400 sites https://www.google.com/maps/@54.6829018,21.0117919,1014m/data=!3m1!1e3 https://www.google.com/maps/@54.6467992,21.0163994,401m/data=!3m1!1e3 And this some huge weapon/ammo storage facility maybe? https://www.google.com/maps/@54.7572683,20.1213471,2407m/data=!3m1!1e3 Early warning site and some more firecrackers? https://www.google.com/maps/@54.4781977,19.9138456,1130m/data=!3m1!1e3
  19. Was just sniffing around Google maps, looking at the Kaliningrad region and noticed that on the air base, they have a lot of airframes shuffled into a small area of the north part of the base. What gives? Su-24, Su-27, Su-35, Tu-22 (from what I could tell). Are they all scrap? https://www.google.com/maps/@54.7729262,20.4033225,780m/data=!3m1!1e3 Busy base that, with a lot of aircraft on the ramp.
  20. Lately I just cant shake the feeling / thought, that what Heatblur will bless us with next, will be the MiG-31. First they made the MiG-21, followed by the Viggen. Two adversaries in their day in Scandinavian/Baltic region. We just received the Tomcat, a predominately air interceptor with its impressive Phoenix missiles. Now what would be its direct adversary, and reuse some of the coding technology (as stated elsewhere by Heatblur)? Here Im thinking about Jester/Iceman plus pilot/RIO cockpit. A MiG-31 with its R-33's. Slim, but I think it makes sense, and I really like the taste of it :).
  21. Never use damage that is happening in multiplayer as evidence. If it does this in single player, well then there is a problem. Visual damage is client side, as in, the damage you see is not the same as someone else sees. That goes for missile and bullet strikes too. So for all we know, the plane was perfectly fine on the pilots side of things, and never received any hits. Test it in SP first before calling the F-14 damage broken. edit: Visual damage - so the actual physical damage happens on the host/server, but you might see something different yourself, and the shooter something entirely different all together.
  22. +1 I like that idea a lot
