I saw - however my "saved games" folder no longer has the option to change its location. I dunno what I did as I was clicking without paying attention. I need to fix that in any case so Ill do that and see what happens with a fresh OB install too. EDIT @Baldrick33and @Flappie It wuz muh Save Games folder. FUBAR'd. Now its just a matter of oooooo 12 hours to redownload the modules!!

neither do I. My Save games folder isnt on the C drive but and isnt called "Saved Games" either. I screwed up the moving of it. Works fine though. I dunno if the program is somehow set up to look for a default first. My saved games is on the same drive as the main OB install. Yup - I get te DCS blue sky flash screen. When I hit the Web Gui index I get acknowledgement that the server has been found. I may go back and redo the saved games folder but Im reluctant to shove it on the C drive due to its (modded) size.

I have no idea what you mean Flappie. Sorry. Repair made no difference. Thanks that got a mission to show in a list but then the server failed to start and the only clue I get is the ultra helpful "error starting server" I dunno if its a port forwarding thing, a set up thing a DCS thing or a me thing. I am trying to use the Server within the main DCS as oer the mthod described above BTW not the dedicated server.

That mission is horrendous even using the most basic settings in 2D. TBH Im really surprised it even made it past QA. Triggers are such that they effectivley pour custard into the engine's carburettor. As you say its not a lack of horsepower its simply that the single core being used for everything but sound (??) becomes saturated by certain triggered actions (fire at point, audio, path finding etc). If a dedi can run this mission well it gives me hope not only for the here and now but also for MC.

All very nice. Any previews on buildings resolving fully further than 500M away? Or destroyed tower blocks not replacing single storey buildings when destroyed? A preview of one of the many military installations in the map where the toplogy has been paid some attention to allow units to be placed Flat would be great as well. Or a sceenshot of the RAM usage not approaching 31GB.... I know - I'm ungrateful. But Im the type who believes shoving another flavourless pattie on a burger doesnt improve it.

FF Su25 would be fantastic. A clickable cockpit as a minimum would be fantastic. Messing about trying to remember a gazillion keybinds is a sorry state of affairs. One of my favourite fixed wings and one I never use simply because my set up doesn’t comfortably allow.

Id sooner they fix the many issues it currently has like the insane RAM useage, poor general performance, low render distances, destruction model bugs, indestructable bridges, unfathomable frame sucking back holes, pyramids and the absurd topology that makes placing units in a realistic manner nigh on impossible in many areas that in the real world would be have been graded (and even have blast bunds modelled) More of the same isnt an appealing proposition.

That is a very skillful and tasteful scenario. I see the VPC mods but may I ask what modes you used for the revetments and other items?

Dont expect an answer from Ugra in the english forums. They are sigularily the least communicative dev within DCS's international forums and make ED look positively effusive. Thats not to say your request wont be noted it just is unlikely to be acknowedged.

Try capping you frames to something around 200fps. I had similar. Frame rates dropping to 50 in clear skies and a countdown from whatever it was to that figure. Capping the frames stopped it for me.

Stab in the dark. There is a possibility the template may use a Mod. If it does, you need that mod. As you are talking airports I will take a further leap and assume you are perhaps using @Rudel_chw's excellent creations. In which case you will need the VPC airfield objects mod and its associated "fixes". If you are not you may still need a mod such as the Frenchpack (V4.8), SAM Asset pack (V1.8) and NATO personnel (for instance with the latest Syrian airfeild tempates posted). All of those mods figure quite heavily in user created templates as frankly speaking the stock ED selection is so poor so as not to be worthwhile bothering with. Be aware DCS updates sometimes break Mods so things will stop working for time until either a further ED patch or, more likely a new version of that mod is produced. Always best to install any MOD using a manager like OvGME as it allows swapping in and out quickly and safely. BTW - if a program is set to look for a folder of a certain name- it wont second guess it.

There are plentiful references to Helo Plane Guards on the SB side. When I was researching for my own missions it literally took 10 seconds in google to find one (in this case a reference in an article called "The Quiet Killer" in Approach Magazine from 1988. So something Id consider authorative - "CV's plane guard helo, anchored in the Starboard Delta at 300ft..."). I assume that to be somethere between 1 and 3 NM off the the side of boat.

That was released before there was even talk of the Hornet let alone the SC. Plp like Carriers. ED likes selling Carriers to plp who like carriers. Heatblur would be pretty pleased too I suspect.

I cant ever see an ED map without sea being produced due to the F18 and SC. I would imagine ED would want the broadest appeal. (I know Afghanistan is the Elephant in the room there). Perhpas there is already a plan to make extended maps feasible (Paris to London as trailed) but, if North, Northern Germany and the North Sea/Black Sea would be a dream.
