  1. So I installed voice attack, and then vaicom pro. I went to the editor and started training keywords. All was going pretty well (except it didnt like to recognize the word 'thousand') any I kept going. After a while I needed a break. I hit 'finish', a dialog box came up telling me to do something. Now I have an error in the voice attack console: 416 missing aliases How do I fix this? In vaicom pro, in the editor tab , the command phrase box is empty.
  2. I read a little here and there about how a properly configured autoexec.cfg file can remove stutters or improve VR. Are there any settings that people have found makes an improvement to the eye candy without a framerate penalty? Yes I reduced 'water details and draw distance' in the GUI but I was wondering if there were more esoteric settings that might help those of us without a 3090.
  3. THANK YOU! never realized trackIR could do this.
  4. This post from a year said that steam VR is needed by most headsets https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-world-2-5/steam-support/239630-vr-no-steam but I dont know if that is still true. I am looking to get the Reverb and have the nonsteam version of DCS. Although I see a lot of people buy fpsVR to measure their VR performance. Can this app run without steam?
  5. Thank you for your replies. I'll try joy to key. Don't know about using voice attack. I fly with a bunch of other pilots and we chat using discord. I think they'd get annoyed if I was always talking to my plane. The main reason I need a keybind is because TrackIR keeps 'shifting' its center as my headset is sometimes jostled a little out of position now and then. So I've mapped the 'recenter key' for trackIR to button 3 on the thrustmaster T16000M and that is the only reason i need the TARGET software. DCS does such a great job of mapping, it even allows me to set a button on the thrustmaster throttle as a modifier key.
  6. is there anyway to do this in DCS without using the thrustmaster TARGET software?
  7. same as RedX. Glad it's not just me.
  8. holy moly...thank you sally. So I don't even need thrustmaster software to configure multiple functions for my stick.!!
  9. How could I assign a keyboard modifier (like shift, alt, ctrl) to a button on the the throttle? In DCS settings, I can only assign buttons on the throttle to specific aircraft functions.
  10. @MustangSally I read all the comments in that video by Wags but could not find your comment. Where is it?
  11. @Vullcan are these the two lines that need to be deleted? local wwtlfs=require('lfs') dofile(wwtlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/wwt/wwtExport.lua') Arent they needed for the throttle to be recognized?
  12. @RogueSqdn you said 'Other throttle grip notes... first off, the pinky switch for external lights is a three-way switch on the Winwing, unlike the actual Hornet throttle, but I find that a bonus, because I can use that as a modifier in DCS and access my cockpit view controls when in VR.' How can you map a modifier to a button or switch? I can not find a manual for simApp pro and am a little baffled about the process of using it.
  13. Has anyone figured out how to work this app? I wish I could map one of the buttons on the throttle to be a modifier so I could map more functions.
  14. I was going to ask where it exports the diagrams to...but then I read the info box Export Started No Template for: VKB-Sim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro Twist No Template for: Joystick (Razer Tartarus V2) No Template for: Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals No Template for: Thrustmaster Virtual Game Controller (root) No Template for: WINWING F18 STARTUP PANEL No Template for: WINWING THROTTLE BASE1 + F18 HANDLE So I guess I am out of luck. Seems like a good start but also need modifiers mapped.
  15. i didnt know the super taurus allowed 'layers' .... like the Thrustmaster T16000M where a button could be a assigned a 'shift function' and have a whole different set of key bindings to the buttons. Where/how can this be done?
  16. normal behavior for motherboards that continue to provide power to usb ports (for phone charging, etc)
  17. Many of you have mounted pedals onto plywood to keep them from moving around. Others have used string or cables that tether the pedals to the chair. I started out this way but ultimately spent $10 for some hardware to fix the pedals to my chair so that the distance is fixed. Here are some pics. I couldnt stand the flimsiness so I got a piece of metal from Home depot and some bolts. The final product still looks kind of industrial but it works. It's adjustable. It holds the pedals at fixed distance and it makes even cheap ones like the Saiteks I have to work better. Now... to put some nyogel on those pedals...
  18. I had this when I used the twcs throttle without the software. It also happened when I used the software and left the key press to ‘pulse’ instead of ‘hold’. I think the default is for the throttle to emit pulses- this will never allow long keypresses.
  19. the a10c][ only shows up in the beta.
  20. wow...I just found that X-plane has it https://www.thresholdx.net/news/asdu35 https://www.thresholdx.net/news/f35bv2
  21. does winwing cause stutters?
  22. Are either of these going to be modeled?
  23. this could be solved if ED made the HMCS position influenced by TrackIR. As I turn my head to the right, I'd like the HMCS to slew to the right edge of the screen.
  24. @ GMAN109 How did you get 4 nvidia 3000 series cards?
  25. @CaptMike thank you for this timely contribution.
