Heatblur recently announced that they bought it and that it will be available for free to all that own the Viggen. Merry Christmas to you I guess :) Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

Frogfoot ~ Training Model ~ Purchase Model
Fisherman82 replied to Bartacomus's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Also prefered the A because of the much better flight performance. Until i noticed the exterior model clipping into the cockpit. I cant stand it so I put it in my viritual grave yard. But to be fair the T has got a ghost light shining behind the ejection seat at night so that is also in my viritual grave yard. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -
I also wonder when we will see a map with a little bit of Sweden where the Viggen actually fits. To me it was a major disappointment when they announced that there actually never has been any development on the so called mini-map for the Viggen and that it is no longer in their plans. When I saw the images of these kneeboard maps two years ago I thought it was a hint and never imagined that they actually would cancel the mini-map completly. After waiting for like four years for it it is pretty sad to read that we can still keep dreaming for it together. I dont mind that I bought the Viggen during pre-order, but I have actually never flown it and most likely never will eventhough its my favorite aircraft. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

Requesting AI wingman to attack a designated target
Fisherman82 replied to Fisherman82's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
To my delight I discovered last night that Engage My Target works now in Air To Air with targets you have locked on radar. This has not been in a changelog so I was pretty suprised. It would be nice to hear something about how its planned to be implemented for Air To Ground, I mean for what sensors, TGP point track only or INS waypoint/Maverick/HUD designation also. And if its far or close in time. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -
This can not be a big wish but it would be nice if what wire you cought on the Stennis would be written in the debrief log. Its like a bad joke that it is written out for AI aircraft but not for the player in single player. As it is now you have to go to the external view and look before the wire is pulled back. Then, after this is fixed I will start dreaming of having them in the logbook also. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

By the way, since I use Vaicom Pro I can issue the laser on sparkle on command regardless of what is available on the menu, i have the menus off so I dont look at them. Perhaps thats why it work for me Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

I always encounter the endless looping, this needs to be fixed, this worked better in 1.2 and 1.5 Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

No I dont think so, after a clear to reattack or abort I always ask for Laser on. Or sparkle of he is using IR. I have studied the manuals for VAICOM 2.0 and VAICOM PRO to understand the JTAC-flow and from that I have come to the conclusion that after a abort or cleared to reattack you end up back right after you have called IP inbound so I go though the same process with laser on, spot, in like in the first attack run. Sloppy by me, I mean dont come from the 180 degrees between west-north-east because then you would be pointing your nose and weapons directly or somewhat to the JTAC if he is south of the target. I did not notice that you wrote that he said egress east, perhaps if you come from exactly the west it would be ok but at some value of degrees towards north I think he will abort you because you start to point against him. And dont come from the south so you go directly above him. I dont know how wide cone you have to stay away from in the south but I would expect it would be ok to come in from the southwest and southeast. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

I dont think you can run in from any direction even if he says no sprecific heading. If he gives you his position in the form of "northwest 100m troops in contact" you know where he is in relation to the target or if you tell him to Rope if he is marking with IR. Dont run in from directly behind the JTAC and not from any direction that points to him. Basicly, if he is south of the target, do not run in from the south or between east and west. Only between south and east/west. Or actually be in that position when you report IN. Had the same problem but it seems to work for me now when I pay more attention to that.

Dont change it to three times, instead do another row that requires three times so you can use the one you like. Either three times or only one. I think it should be like that for all modules because the three times press is a problem for cockpit builders. I have to use JoyToKey set to do execute ctrl + e 20 times per second when I pull the handle on my seat since I dont want to pull it three times.

Hello, does anyone know if it would be possible to do a new livery for the Russian ground crew in the VPC Airfield mod? The blue ones with caps that is, one of them has a chart he is writing on. The thing is that those guys would be a pretty accurate ground crew for the Viggen if their clothes where olive green instead of blue and if they did not have reflexes. Other ground crew mods I have seen I dont think look as good for the Viggen as the VPC Russian ones. A Seaknight helikopter in USMC livery and Swedish Marine and Airforce liverys to accompany the Viggen would be awsome. Classic sub-hunter! Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -
Requesting AI wingman to attack a designated target
Fisherman82 replied to Fisherman82's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Indeed, but to begin with, some info on what commands are planned for the Hornet and Viper in a newsletter or a forum post would be a start. It has never been commented. I mean, will it be the same as in the A10C or is something new in progress? Or is what we got it? To me this is much more interesting than AG radar or ATFLIR or something like that. I did not know that this was module specific, I thought that it was a core ting that would work atleast as in the FC3 aircraft eventhough the Hornet is EA. Im fine with it beeing EA, I knew when I bought the Hornet what EA means apart from missing this. But like all other things in EA it would be nice to get some news because its a big thing in single player. Does this work in the Viggen by the way? Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -
Requesting AI wingman to attack a designated target
Fisherman82 replied to Fisherman82's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I have tried both Engage my target and Attack my target when I have a target in point track on the TGP. Did not work. It would be nice if ED would share if this is supposed to work now and in that case how you need to designate. In the A-10A it could be done with the HUD designator but not with the Maverick seeker so it might not be totally logic. If its not implemented now it would be equally important to share some info on that as on AG radar for example. How it is planned to work in that case. Otherwise people might be sitting like me trying to get something to work that never has a chance of working. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -
I just noticed wingman commands for recon on the Hornet radio commands menu. I tried them but could not understand what they do, does anyone know? Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

Actually, its still there but just if you take take off from ramp. If you take take off from parking hotel it works fine. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -

I tried the new lua file for the Greyhound but its still spinning on the deck instead of taxiing to the catapult on the Stennis. Does anyone else have that problem still? Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk -
Hello Is it possible to ask a AI wingman to attack a target that you have designated with the TGP for example? Is this implemented or not? If not will it be implemented? Im asking because I have tried with engage my target and it wont work for me, same with radar locks on aircraft. In the SU-25T you can put the tv sensor on a target and then hand it of to your wingman with engage my target and then move the sensor to another for your self. Same with radar locks in the F-15C. That way you can acually benefit from having a wingman in single player missions, you have more weapons. I know the Hornet is not a FC3 aircraft but the same functions are badly needed if they dont exist already an Im doing something wrong.

If this is not the free map, still I hope that ED picked up a long ago that this is something that seems to be very wanted. The idea pops up all the time Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

I have had problems with the texture on nav lights on the civilian aircraft gone missing and also the Scimitar mod going totaly invisible. In both cases the solution was simply deleting the mod in the mod folder and unzipping it to it again. A very bizzare solution but it worked, I dont know why. Skickat från min D5503 via Tapatalk

F/A-18 Hornet 3.0 by Graphic Simulations Corp I had a demo of it and dont know if there where weapons in it but I also got the full version and that plenty and also a desert map.

Is padlock needed to command a AI wingman to engage a specific target in the Tomcat by the way? I have not started to learn the Tomcat eventhough I got it so I havent tried myself but in other full fidelity aircraft I have tried padlock is the only way to tell a wingman to designate a specific target, a radar lock wont work like it does in the F15.
