OH-58D Kiowa Warrior - Scouting and Reconnaissance?!
TheGhostOfDefi replied to scommander2's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Still in RL the IDM was compatible afaik. -
Well you will have in Multicrew.
-
Poly will keinen Early Access oder Vorverkauf. Die wollen das doch tatsächlich altmodisch machen Ein Fertiges Produkt zum vollen Preis wenns auch Spielbar ist.

AI Tellly in general is pretty garbage...
-
Although the TOW got a laser rangefinder in later variants (ITAS-TOW). Just not sure how important this feature is. Never tested the TOW against me in DCS.
-
But can you denie the player later on the possibility to reequip the JHMCS by the ground crew?
-
Would be fine with me.. Together with a INS system implemented like for the 16 now you could use the F-18 for older szenarios pretty well.
-
The Point is forcing it off by mission! Otherwise I could just turn down Brightness till it’s off…
-
Could this become a thing pls?

When you configure the grip the first time you get asked if you want to have no modifiers or hold modifiers. If you select the latter you can hold that button and after 1 second of holding Jett, Chop or Stow you get a second "digital" button push. What you can do (and whats the idea behind this) is that you can map the first action to open the cover and the second to perform the push itself. (for me the digital buttons are Joy-Btn45-47) Further you get the stow function for the Light.

Later after release but not initially. -
Musst du neu konfigurieren, was durchaus alle belegungen killen kann. Ich empfehle daher vorher alle Profile abzuspeichern in dcs. Davon ab kann es gut sein dass du erstmal die Firmware Updaten musst. Aber da führt das setzt dich schon durch.

NAV Designations are overwriting RDR designations
TheGhostOfDefi replied to AvroLanc's topic in Bugs and Problems
@AvroLanc You mean if you designate a target using the Radar (hrm patchmap) it instead Position updates your selected (pb17) to that point? -

A part of the answer to that would just unsettle you. Jokes aside: It looks promising but see it as a Bonus that releases and be happy when the time has come.

They literally just passed and fulfilled expectations, not to long ago.. Or are we talking about different points?

Hello, I tried a bit around with the CBU-87 in the Strike Eagle. I engaged Mortar site (Group premade in editor) and the damage is marginal. Meanwhile CBU-97 is very effektive as well are MK-82´s. Normaly i would expect the CBU-87 to work formidably against soft targets like infantry in the open. Especialy since they have frag sleeve they should saturate this area with shrapnels and i think this could be the Problem: DCS isnt really handling shrapnels. Now anyway a workaround would be nice. I attach a track and the mission itself for everyone to try themself. In the Track i didnt put the carpet in a straight line so latter targets could survive that but espeacily the most front ones shouldnt in my opinion. I used 900 ft Fuzing altitude. 87_900ft_BDA.trk F15ELevelCarpet.miz

I think your wishes are hard to grant. Making yourself useful with slingloading will probably be a thing in the Dynamic Campaign. Otherwise you need a further human that takes advantage of your supplied assets. Saying “Go” but not having anything scripted is very unspecific, they need to know what you ask of them. That’s the problem i see with your wish. You need either thing: More detailed commands or Scripted environment. The Dynamic Campaign for example could bypass your wishes problems by delivering a scripted environment which took you no effort to build. For example you delivering ammo to Howitzers and they continue fire support or delivering howitzers at all. Let’s be curious for what the future will bring us!

Combined Arms can do the trick to a certain extend.

Soo like the AWACS-Datalink for western aircrafts?

Soo 1. Yes, since they are usually configured lighter. Thrust-to-weight ratio! You can go that path with the F-15 too... It's your choice how you equip your SE; you can go fast and "light," or carry two Suns and a Moon. (A single engine of our F-15 has 35 kN more thrust, and we have 2, thus about 70 kN more thrust in Max Power) It just cannot be two things at the same time. See, the CFTs are basically the two outer fuel tanks of the F-15C, and if you take additional tanks with you, you need to think of it as an F-15C with 4 wing tanks... You wouldn't be mad being slow seeing a plane like that, would you? Despite that, sure, there are different things that go into that like drag and all that, but as Tenkom stated, it CAN be faster! 2. The first timer is the time the missile goes active. The second time shows its radar mode (no factor in DCS so far), and the estimated time to impact that can vary due to the fact that the enemy has a word to say in this as well! 3. The F-15E is probably the BEST BVR fighter we have in-game! Strong radar, can go fast and high, and can carry a deadly loadout. (And big IFF ranges) People tend to crave for the Data link, HMCS, and so on, but with all due respect: You are half an E-3 with that radar yourself! You need to exercise this for sure, and the SA is not established as easily, but you can build a formidable SA yourself! But that's kind of why the F-16 & F/A-18 are fighters in their manner and the F-15 is an air superiority fighter. That's a difference. Further, I want to add that even the F-15E can stand its ground in WVR/ACM/Dogfight, however you want to call it. You are just not that good anymore as in the F-16, and you need to make some decisions more carefully. In the end, you got thrust and a Delta-Wing. (Personally, I like the stabilator layout) To wrap up the topic: the F-15E needs more training and isn't that "beginner-friendly" as the 16/18. But hell, it's capable. Small tip: Just because the F-15 can carry that much fuel, you should consider if you need that much.

Whats going on with this GCI thing? Is there something special about it in the -29?
