  1. The best way I have found to search through all of these forms is by using google. As long as you include DCS in the search it should bring up several matches in these forms.
  2. Even though I am not interested in the Tornado I have been noticing that it has been one of the most highly requested jets for DCS. There have been countless threads created requesting it. The only other aircraft that I can think of that people have cried about that much has been the F-16. So if the interest is defiantly there to show DCS it would be profitable the only thing holding back a developer would be getting all of the necessary permits and data. I do agree that there needs to be more European aircraft. But I also understand that it all depends on certain factors that will determine the likelihood of development. Which means it could be anything else that gets a green light first. So if something like a Blackburn Buccaneer becomes more feasible to do than a Tornado then you all are just going to have to be grateful that it was even done.
  3. This is the like the 20th thread I have seen started about the Eurofighter typhoon. Like others have stated if an aircraft is still in service its a no go until it has been retired and its systems have been declassified. And that is for it to just be considered. See this announcement about the OH-58D Kiowa to read more about what it takes to bring a new module to DCS. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/2019-11-29_Kiowa_Announced/
  4. This is like the 3rd time a thread has been created in reference to Heavy bombers. Before a B-52 or any other aircraft with more the two engines can be considered DCS has to be updated to provide the coding for multi engine support. So in the mean time you are going to have to limit it to twin engine bombers. Here is the last thread that was created https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=250491
  5. Just about any American aircraft from the Vietnam era would sell well just because of the history and ties many Americans still have with them.
  6. We really need a good write up from somebody knowledgeable of why certain Russian and newer aircraft are not feasible at this time. Because these types of questions will always keep coming up from new people. Its impossible to keep explaining to them all the various details that are scattered all over the place. However I will share with you all a new post about the announcement of the development of the OH-58D Kiowa. Other than the mention of the Kiowa it goes into some interesting details of what it takes for a 3rd party developer to even get the necessary permissions to get the green light from ED to develop a new module for DCS. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/2019-11-29_Kiowa_Announced/
  7. Instead of wasting our thoughts on what would be our personal favorite Red aircraft that has little to no chances in making into DCS in the the next 10 years, we should be discussing what would be the most modern model that could be realistically licensed and simulated.
  8. Here is the podcast with the interview with Wags from Eagle Dynamics that goes into detail of what I had mentioned. The part about Eastern Bloc Aircraft in DCS starts at 11:25. https://alert5podcast.podbean.com/e/scramble-04-matt-wags-wagner/
  9. Every time I see a new thread asking for more modern Russian aircraft I roll my eyes because this topic has come up a thousand times. Which shows you are a newbie and that you did not do your research. We really need a good wright up so we can refer new individuals to it. But the short summery of the issue is that Eagle Dynamics is a Russian company and the Russian government has tight controls on its military aircraft. This makes developing any high fidelity module of Russian Aircraft a no go for ED. However ED has stated that 3rd parties based outside of Russia could potential do it. But even then getting a hold of the necessary data will be difficult and the newer the aircraft is the more impossible it will be.
  10. Does anyone know if once MAC goes live if all FC3 aircraft will be limited to their own servers? If that would be the case it would be a good way to level the playing field so no one has the advantage of simplified controls.
  11. Since you don't seem to get the big picture let me reiterate this replay. Also keep in mind ED just needs to do enough to prepare DCS enough to entice third parties (hopefully a new one) to build out the rest. "I have seen plenty of comments on these forums and others of people that are not really interested in flying combat missions in combat aircraft. But they do recognize that DCS is one of the best simulators out there. So why not bring to market something different to the Civilian sector of aviation that no other simulator offers right now to attract new people. So to answer your question this means more sales and business for DCS that also means more money to support DCS efforts to keep improving the simulator that we all love. If you step back and look at it from a pure business prospective it has a lot of PURPOSE! Plus it would not be that hard to implement it by using the caucasus map and Huey because they are already part of DCS to see how well it does. Everyone stands to benefit from it in some way even if they are not interested in firefighting."
  12. With the new rash of wildfires going on in California right now it made me think about this topic again. This time I came to the conclusion that Firefighting could be implemented into DCS with a small initial development of just the necessary programing needed to model wildfires on the part of Eagle Dynamics. Then a new skin and fighter fighting equipment for the Huey could be added. Then depending on how popular it turns out to be a California map could be added by a 3rd party. Then later on the S2 Tracker could be added as it could serve double duty as an Aerial tanker, AWACS - E-1 Tracer, Cargo -C-1 Trader and Sub hunter. Buy the way the S-2 was capable of deploying torpedoes and Depth charges. By the way I tried to embed this great youtube video but I have not being abel to figure out how to do it even by going into Advanced mode and using the Youtube button. The video just ends up being unplayable for me.
  13. While I do agree it would be a top seller I don't think it would be as big as some other aircraft. There are a lot of people out there from the Vietnam era that are aching for an F-4 Phantom or a F-105 Thunderchief. Then there are those that love the Century series fighters that would love a F-100 Super Saber. Over in the World of RC airplanes one of the best selling EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) Jet has been this new model of the F-4 Phantom that was released last year.
  14. From what I've read the F-4E is still in the pipe line. It just got pushed back to get the F-16 and Hind out first by your beloved belsimtek. :smilewink:
  15. I had been following Razbam on their FB page and they have also been working on the A-29 Super Tucano for a while. I have seen more updates about the A-29 than the Mig23 on their page. It seems that the development is pretty far along. I will have plenty to keep me busy with the F-4, A7 and F8. The A-6 would be a must buy if it ever get made into a full module.
  16. This has been coming up a lot lately in other forums in this same wishlist section. I think C-2 Greyhound and the C-130 would be the best bets. The C-130 would have the most appeal because of all the variants there have been. Even those not interested in the typical cargo planes would cave for a AC-130. The C-2 Greyhound would have a very particular uniqueness in that if it was developed for DCS it would be the only non-combat aircraft capable of operating off a carrier decks. This alone would draw the attention of civilian sim pilots that previously had no interest in DCS but would be curious of the trill of carrier traps. Another good thing about developing non-combat aircraft is that the development time would be shorter because they have no weapons systems.
  17. I think you would have better luck requesting the military versions of the 737 like the KC-46 Pegasus or P-8 Poseidon. Then you could just reskin it with a Lufthansa skin. :smilewink:
  18. For two reasons. The top one being that there currently are no other non-combat full fidelity aircraft that are capable of operating off carrier decks on any other flight sim that I am aware of. The second being that I have come across several comments on various forums and Youtube of people that like civilian flight sims and recognize that DCS has good flight models but have no interest in flying combat missions. I have even read some of people that do fly in DCS on ocation but again no interest in combat and they just like to fly from airfield to airfield. So for those people that just like flying in general a carrier capable E2 or C2 might just get their interest to get the thrill of launching off a carrier deck and landing back on one. Check out this great video about the C-2 Greyhound operations. By the way developing a C-2 for DCS would be much easier because it has no weapons systems.
  19. This is the very reason why a flyable Hawkeye would be very popular. It would peek the interest from those that mostly like flying civilian aircraft on other simulators. The Hawkeye would be the first non combat aircraft that is capable of operating of a carrier deck. That alone puts it into a category of its own. By the way I recently read this new interesting story about the first E2D that are getting Ariel refueling capability. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/29819/navy-training-squadron-receives-first-e-2d-hawkeye-with-new-aerial-refueling-capability
  20. FYI - An F-4E was in development but was put on hold to develop and push out the F-16 first. It might not be the ideal variant for this era but its still a Phantom that many people would be more than happy with.
  21. From this list the most realistically feasible are the F-8 Crusador/Corsair II and the Zero. Plus they would be highly popular.
  22. I just came across some news that VNAO has an S3-Viking MOD in development but without DCS implementing Buddy Tanking it's just a basic flyable aircraft. Post#21 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=238291&page=3
  23. So far only the F-4E has been confirmed. The development was put on hold until the F-16 and other projects are completed. So you will have to make due with the F-4E for the foreseeable future. But at least you already have the Navy skins ready to go. Here is the last update: https://belsimtek.com/news/1792/
  24. I understand your desire for more modern full fidelity Russian aircraft. From the discussions I have read it seems there is no incentive to even add a clickable cockpit to FC3 planes from ED. So until a 3rd party developer can bring something new your just going to have to make due with the most modern aircraft currently available such as the Mig-29 and Mig-21 if you want to fly full fidelity Russian aircraft.
  25. I doubt a Boeing 727 would ever come to DCS. But you are definitely on the right track with the tanker variants like the KC-10 and KC-135. There is a bigger chance of those making it to DCS than just a plain civilian airliner. Plus these planes can always be reskined as a DC-10 and Boeing 707.
