It does seems out of date but I it does gives a good idea of what the road map looked like at one point in time. It would be great if this info could get updated or if someone else knows of another similar page. I also hope Heatblur is able to do the A6 if they can get a license. I did not know that about Republic Aircraft which makes sense why the P-47 has been a challenge.

I just saw today that RAZBAM is in fact currently developing an export version of the EE Lighting. https://www.facebook.com/RazbamSims/

I just saw this interesting comment while watching a video review of the new Super Carrier. It really shows the type of people that would be interested in the Hawkeye. "Would love to see an E-3 Hawkeye join us in DCS. Being a Commercial pilot, that would make my day. All this Hornet stuff is far too stressful. LOL"

I was just looking at this page again that lists all of the projects and status that every single developer has in the pipeline for DCS. It seems a out of date but I it gives a good idea of what the road map looked like at one point in time. And saw that the F-105 Thundercheif and the A-4M Skyhawk II is in planned status by RAZBAM. So those two aircraft might eventually make it to DCS for sure. https://dr.squirrelboy12.com/DCSDevelopers/

The EE Lightning would be one of those jets that would definitely be fun to fly but it would not be very useful in any other role except for short range intercepts because it guzzles more fuel an even an F-4 Phantom. You would actually have to keep an eye on the fuel gauge to make sure you can make it back to base.

This is something that one of the other 3rd parties out there that develop aircraft for other civilian flight sims could easily do if they did it to DCS standards.

The video does not work. This is the only forum where I have not been able to get an embedded video to work. So I just post a hyperlink when I want to share a video.

I have not seen any info about any developer planning to make the Rafale yet. Maybe in 10 years it may be a little more feasible for a developer to be granted a license. But I do have some good news. I just looked at this website that features the current status and future confirmed modules that are planned from every developer and the Mirage 2000-5 is listed as in development. These are the only other French jets that are planed so far by RAZBAM. https://dr.squirrelboy12.com/DCSDevelopers/ RAZBAM Mirage 2000-5 - In Development Mirage III - Planned Dassault Super Étendard - Planned Aviodev Mirage F-1 - In Development

I actually prefer a Mirage III for its feed back feel. Here is a good video about the Yom Kapor war in which The Mirage III was used. An interesting part of this video is what one of Israels top Ace said about the difference between the Mirage III and the F-16 @42.09 min towards the end. The Mirage III was one of the last pure fighter jet experiences there were. Just by my experience with the F-14 and the F-16 I can already tell that the F-16 is a very easy to fly computer dampened experience but with the F-14 you can actually feel like you are in full control of it. And I love all the feed back that the aircraft gives off. You don't need all the top tech to be a Top Ace.

For starters the TF-51 is not exactly an easy airplane for a first time pilot to fly. There have been many threads about DCS needing a more ideal trainer to be included with DCS in the past. I would rather they add something else with tricycle gear like a T-2 Trojan that would be a more ideal trainer. Plus it would be better able to prepare pilots for carrier ops since it is carrier capable and entice new players to move up to a more advanced Naval aircraft. The L-39 and C-101 will always have its fan base that will buy it regardless. Plus they have served as light attack aircraft in other countries.

I highly recommend everyone hearing this interview with Nick Grey From ED to better understand how complex and work intensive it is to develop a new module. Pay special attention at 15:52 min on ward. Simply throwing more money at ED is not going to improve things to the level some would imagine.

DCS: A Way to out of Endless Early Access
Evoman replied to omskTransmash's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I think this whole thread could be attributed to your lack of understanding of just how complex and work intensive it is to develop a new module. I highly recommend hearing this interview with Nick Grey From ED entirely but many of your core misunderstandings could be cleared up at 15:52 min on ward. -
1. I agree on the themes being available to all online players. 2. I also agree in making multi player more accessible to non module owners like in a limited use multi player feature for demo and training purposes. 3.No comment 4. There is a new Mariana Islands map that will be free to everyone soon. If all maps were to be free then there would not be incentive for a 3rd party to develop a new map. The Map development is already slow as is with the few parties around that are able to do them. I would also add that I had purposed not too long ago that it would be a good idea to add another free airplane to be included with the DCS download like a T-2 Buckeye. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=265902 The T-2 would be very instrumental in attracting new people to DCS as it could be used by everyone for flight training or just to take up a buddy for fun while giving him a DCS demo. Even flying the T-2 solo would be great for new and more experienced pilots as it is a great trainer that can also do carrier operations. Plus what better airplane is there to not only create more interest in the more advanced Naval modules like the F/A – 18 and F-14 but to also better prepare them to operate them, And yes I know the T-45 is cooler but that is a newer aircraft that would be far more un realistic to be offered for free because it is more complex.

Are those real? Please tell me those are real~!
Evoman replied to J-20's topic in DCS Core Wish List
No, those other games have a movie mode option when doing replays. Here is another sim that could had also been the source. -

This looks like they were taken from another flight combat game in movie mode that I can not mention here but here is link from that game with the La 7. -
This is the 2nd tread about this same topic in less than 2 weeks. :glare:https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=271610 Here was my reply to that same thread: As far as I know only the A-10A would be feasible. I had read some where that it may even already have partial coding for a clickable cockpit but it was just put off. Other than that the F-15C would probably be the next doable candidate but not sure if the hold up is a licensing issue or classified systems. In the mean time we will just have to make do with the F-15E that is currently in development. Russian aircraft are a whole other fiasco. It will continue to be difficult to develop a full fidelity module with the current Russian government restrictions. Check out this podcast for more details as to why Russian aircraft are difficult to do @11:18. https://alert5podcast.podbean.com/e/...t-wags-wagner/

Well by what I know I know that this is out of the hands of Eagle Dynamics. As they are not allowed to do Soviet aircraft because ED is a Russian company. However it is possible for a 3rd party based out of Russia to do it. But then comes the issue of getting all the required documentation, data and finally licensing which the Russian government controls. The one good thing that would make the Su-17 a little for feasible is that it is an older jet that has pretty much been retired. https://alert5podcast.podbean.com/e/scramble-04-matt-wags-wagner/

Since Soviet jets are already a rare thing to be cleared for development you are going to have to make due with the MiG-23MLA Flogger G in the mean time because that is the only other soviet jet that has been confirmed for development by Razbam so far.

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
Evoman replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
That is true to an extent. Last I read Australia had bought 12 F/A-18F+ that come pre-wired from the factory for possible conversion to EA-18G Growler configuration. So technically developing a EA-18G Growler from a F/A-18F module would not be too difficult. :smilewink: -
Like someones has already said DCS is still not there yet to really support something like the B-17 along with other long haul bombers. So for now I think something like the B-25 Mitchell would be more feasible. My favorite would be the PBJ-1H and PBJ-1J Navy variets with more guns.

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
Evoman replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I think the two seater F/A-18F Super Hornet could also have more viability to come to DCS in the future to distance it self more from the hornet DCS already has. That way it would also open the door for the EA-18G Growler further down the road. -
Its not just DCS, even Hollywood has had to change their movies so that they can pass Chinese censorship so that the movies can be shown in Chinas lucrative market. Even Top Gun 2 has had to censor Mavericks flight jacket to pass censorship.

If you want to see the Air Tractor in DCS you are going to have to push for the AT-802 Archangel. That version would have more support plus it would be pretty easy for the module to also include the regular civilian model.
