  1. For $100.00 cheaper I'll roll the dice and not cancel. I was getting psyched to get it but if they screw us I'll just wait til some college student buys it then realises they were stupid to spend their tuition money and dump it on EBAY. Keep your emails and correspondence, they can put a disclaimer if they want but preorder or not they have to honor it or they will get contacted by attourney generals office and get a thrashing on BBB website.
  2. Theres several freeware programs to make a keyboard on touchscreen monitors. Just look on google
  3. Still waiting for my stick to arrive :/. I've replaced tons of switches like this in the work I do, all of them have a backup nut to set the depth of how much threads are protruding IE sometimes its just thin sheet metal other times it is 1/8" steel. Granted you will have to take apart your throttle to make the adjustment. You can also get trim rings that just hide the protruding threads, they are round and you can tighten them on by hand to pretty it up, you need about 2 threads sticking out to use these.
  4. SImilar to these: http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/rubberwaterproofswitchcovers-1.aspx
  5. I used to have to turn it off in Vista x64 with bcdedit to install a soundblaster driver. I read somewhere that they've patched Vista to disable it completely now too. You used to be able to hit F8 at boot and temporarily turn it off also, haven't tried lately because I dumped that soundcard.
  6. Microsoft patented a multitouch touchscreen keyboard that detects where your hands are, so no matter where you place your hand the keys are always in proper position..maybe we will see something in a few years.
  7. Looks like BLT is a bust- the SoCal batch is bumped to 11/10 and now there is a NONE on the ETA for the other 70 for Penn.
  8. You can buy rubberized switch covers that will screw onto those threads sticking out. I had a few that i unfortunately threw away the other day but you should be able to get them from any electronics supply, then they will all look the same..
  9. I was bored and bummed out that our European counterparts are happily enjoying their new hardware and here we sit empty handed with release dates that keep moving out :/
  10. http://www.goupstate.com/article/20101027/ZNYT05/10273011?Title=E-mail-spam-falls-after-Russian-crackdown After reading this I checked my junkmail folder it was empy for all week. Now if we could just get the rest of the countries to crack down....
  11. I guess this explains why noone in the US got their WH yet...
  12. Flight of the old dog...
  13. Wonder if anyone in the US got theirs yet...this product launch is an epic fail....I think they underestimated demand and got caught with their pants down.
  14. I'm not seeing a jumper in your manual, the only thing I can suggest is trying to move it to different USB ports, it's possible that all don't have standby power. I had to move my old X52 pro to a different port because the screen would always be on also, moving it to a different port solved it for that.
  15. Theres no real way to remove teh force feedback slop around the trim point. It is a Logitech software issue that doesnt look like it will be solved. Funny thing is if I fire up Dirt2 and enable the force feedback there is no slop..
  16. that is the 5 volts USB standby power. Most boards have a jumper to enable/disable it. Without it you can't press a button on a windows keyboard to turn on system power.
  17. I did a little checking. That other person had you download a graphics card driver which won't hurt but wont fix the issue. You need the Nvidia chipset drivers. I checked the XFX website and figured out which board you had because its AMD CPU with Nvidia chipset and onboard 8200 graphics. THey only made 1 board with that. This is what you need to fix it: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_vista_win7_64bit_15.49.html PS it looks like a SM bus driver that didn't get installed. SMbus lets system administrators or system utilities to read detailed information from your system like voltage CPU speed etc etc. Won't hurt a thing or affect performance not having it installed.
  18. I guess we will see if anyone who preordered first and has a 20th email gets a tracking number tomorrow.....
  19. A hot meal and a warm bed to sleep in OR a shiny new WH...the choice is yours lol.
  20. The Samsungs are a no go. No 64 bit OS support and you can only use 1. :/
  21. Just found these. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/600281/200611626-343757956/5-inch-digital-lcd.html Saw that a bunch of the cockpit builders at another website were using these They also have a 5.6 and a 5.7 etc. only drawback is you gotta supply the PSU block to make it work. I was thinking to buy a little black project box to mount the guts inside of and then secure the MFD to that. For about $160.00 I can get 2 MFD screens. Have to buy a couple of power supplies and VGA to DVI adapters from radio shack to make it all work but the total cost would be less than $200
  22. I saw the same fix on the Logitech forum. apparently that screw doesn't allow the cable to flex very good and the cheap wire eventually fatigues and then you get spike issues. Removing the screw lets the wire move more freely...
  23. Sounds like a driver or BIOS issue. You can try reseting the ESCD in your BIOS and it will force different IRQ's but this shouldn't be an issue with Windows 7 unless you turned off ACPI in your BIOS. Try swapping the cards position in the motherboard and see what happens, maybe your board cant provide enough PCIE lanes? Another possibility is the DVI-VGA adaper is bad or your card just doesnt like it... Issues like this are always hard to nail down.
  24. I like the Samsung picture frame theres no buttons on the front so much easier to fit the MFD to it. Still waiting to see if USB video will work with A10 I read in another thread someone bought a few and it wont work for BS.
  25. *Sigh* just checked their website now the item page show 11/2 as the date. Starting to loose faith....
