  1. Guys I had this same issue with my stick always pulling to the right etc. I can tell you it was NOT a calibration problem. There are 8 black screws 4 in the top and 4 in the bottom of the stick that will loosen up over time. No idea why there is no locktite on them.. The 4 on top are under the chrome trim ring, you have to remove the joystick handle then the 8 chrome screws holding the trim ring, once you get that off there are 4 black screws. the ones on the bottom all you do is remove the bottom plate and they are right there. Just CAREFULLY tighten them back up. Note: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THEM (mine feel like they are half stripped out from the factory) my guess is someone didnt have their clutch set right on the assembly line.... Also you need to do both sides because the top and bottom screws go into the same posts.
  2. Been watching official updates for a while is hope of getting a spiral bound manual a pipe dream at this point?
  3. DCS: Eurofighter please. To heck with the pole......
  4. A much simpler fix A-10 and BS 2.0 I too have been tinkering with Nvidia inspector for a while and found a very easy fix for SLI users using Nvidia inspector. Tried above stuff with mixed results and not happy with either corruption or low FPS. Restore the profile to defaults if youv'e been tinkering with the default profile for Digital combat Simulator. All I did was change the SLI compatibility bits to: 0x04400005 (Rise of Flight) Everything else at default. My line of thinking was that it was still applying a DCS BS 1.0 profile to a game with a newer and updated engine. Things that applied to DCS 1.0 may have been fixed/changed since then. Results: No cloud flicker, improved FPS (60-45). This is with the newest beta drivers and I also tested it with the latest WHQL release version. See my hardware in my sig. May not work for newer/ older cards. Side note: I'm running in window mode 1920x2000 (1920 x 1200 main screen with 2 mini USB monitors). All settings on high, MSAA 8x, trees and clutter at defaults, HDR: Normal, cockpit displays 1024
  5. No mention of DirectX 10 or 11 support. Bummer...
  6. My biggest wish is for player controlled AWAC type commander or something in addition to FAC stuff. Even with voice coms the battlefield always seems to debilitate into airquake. I realise it's all in the hand of mission designers but would like to see some good multiplayer maps right out of the box with FC3 and the rest.
  7. Echoing my same thought coolts. I have so many sims to play now it's hard to choose. I'll buy every one of them anyways except the throwaway ones like Janes and HAWX.
  8. I really want to try BMS but the day it came out I couldn't find my F4 disk. Found the 3 ring binder with the flight manual but alas the sleeve where the disc is supposed to be is empty. F4 had probably the best game manual ever I spent countless hours pouring over this thing. I have so many old software boxes packed away in my moms basement from the 90's its unbelievable LOL. Looks like it time to go hunting for it. I'm usually very anal about my flight sim boxes. Hopefully I haven't lost it in the process of moving 3 times
  9. Good times...I thought they were gone forever. I have fond memories of the 90's and all the great (and terrible) flight sims from that time period. We had to endure a long drought with very little but Falcon mods, LO mods, FSX until Arma and DCS:BS came out. Now I have that same old feeling that I did back then...so many great sims and not enough hours in the day to play them all. I for one am glad to see the resurgence of the flight sim market and am glad that there were a few companies that carried on and stuck to their vision and listened to us that there was still interest in this genre. Thanks to ED, BIS, 1C, 777 and the countless modders and artists for keeping siming alive. Hopefully a new generation can enjoy flight siming as much as I do.
  10. You should really make the jump and go to Window 7 x 64. Less load times less stuttering as memory swaps are all but eliminated. Win 7 is probably the most stable windows to date ( and I've used every single one of them since DOS days). I used to format my system yearly to get performance back. With 7 it's been intact since the day it was released. Also looking to the future I'd say that at some point the DCS series will support DirectX 11....way better looking. You cant run DX11 on XP, Vista and above only.
  11. Sorry that's TBS - Not an upgrade to A-10C. Military only...
  12. I had the exact problem with the X52 and emailed tech support years ago they told me if you put a keypress under the mode switch it will cotinuously send it while in that mode because it is not really a button and it never gets released. Evenually it overruns and causes high CPU usage. The way to correct the problem for this is to use a macro instead. a macro will execute 1 time then stop. The best way to see this is click the little gear and test your profile. You can see what its sending for output.
  13. Seems like you'd have to make a script and have it run when windows loads? I don't think target does anything to load settings when windows loads.
  14. LED LCD will save you money on your electric usage also. I borrowed a friends kill-a-watt and checked.I cant recall the exact numbers but my 27" Dell LCD monitor uses nearly as much power as my 46" Sony LED LCD TV. Dell monitor is a heater and make my room an unbearable hotbox in the summer. TV is always cool to the touch, hardly any heat. The only thing I reccomend before you make your purchase is to do your homework and look at the spec sheet on the TV you are considering. See what resolutions it supports for PC connection and on what connector(I could hook up via HDMI or a olf VGA DB15 connector on the TV) Also realise that unless you spend extra for a TV with 120 or 240hz refresh rate you are stuck at 60Hz- not good for eyestrain for long gaming sessions...
  15. This arguement is very educational but I think some people need to look up the definition of "feature creep" and read "The parabale of Janes A-10".
  16. The autopilot only has (I think) 20% control authority. So if your trimmed position is quite a bit off of the intended target then you wont get very good results. At any rate it just gets you in the general vacinity of the target it doesn't seem to want to line you up good for a shot with a vikhr. It works ok for cannon but wont compensate fast enough if you fire a long burst.
  17. I haven't actually had this failure myself yet but can't you just reset the CADC in the CDU/SYS subpage? I didn't see anyone post that they tried to reset it??
  18. What are you using for the MFCD's? a second monitor or do you have 2 smaller displays? Are they DVI, VGA or HDMI?
  19. One thing I had to do with the WH is add small deadzones to make up for the tiny bit of mechanical play around the center of the stick - side to side is at 3% forward backward is 4%. You can feel the play by just pushing the stick with one finger. So I just push it with a finger and set the deadzone to compensate for that. Basically it is the area or the stick moves in which there is zero spring tension Doing this keeps you from having to constantly "bump" steer so much when doing refuling. This with curves help tremendously with AAR.
  20. I like how armchair pilots come here to complain about the statistical anomolies of component failure. Nothing like splitting hairs.
  21. In DCS:BS the setting was in the export.lua file. Most FC2 servers unfortunately have it disabled to prevent use of TACVIEW and LEAVU + ERI utilitiles. There are many pages of discussions on this and we are kind of OT and hijacking this guys thread so.....search is your friend :)
  22. Black shark multiplayer is different. If the server had lua export turned off it will block you from using them online. Hopefully they update BS to A-10C codebase soon...
  23. I'm using 2 Mimo iMo USB monitors they are working ok. Still have to manually tweak the .lua files to get it to display where you want per Kuky's thread. Also I'm using 2 480 GTX in SLI so previous posts on old beta versions don't seem to be correct for release.
  24. I have the MIMO iMo 7" USB monitors also. They work good but for some reason the right MFCD doesn't refresh UNLESS you have a window open on your Windows desktop and dragged down to the right screen. The left one works without a hitch. Other people are reporting this issue with different setup. Could be a bug.
