If you've got a target locked or have your shkval ground stabilised Auto Turn on Target will keep you pointed right at it unless you start yanking on the cyclic, just gently sideslip and many missiles will miss you.

Try some online flying with real people. Most mission designers don't load up the forrest with AA and manpads units unless they are feeling really evil. =STP=Dragons missions are really good for online play also.

Get back to the basics Id say. When you installed the new processor did you clear CMOS and go through each setting? Have you checked for a newer BIOS? You might be missing a microcode update for your chip or something. Sounds to be processor related. On the flip side your graphics card could be causing the issue, I know for instance that my board would not work with GTX470's and 480's until they released a BIOS update. Also with Windows 7 you should go into power options and make sure it's set for high performance(under advanced settings there are many things that affect the processor). If not it could be impacting performance as cores ramp up and down or your harddrive could be going to a low power state etc etc

Another XvT game with new graphics is long overdue :/

Thanks for the replies on the AI Panzertard and EvilBivol.

Looks like an amazing game

Improved AI? Many times DCS:Blackshark begins to feel like a shooting gallery. The men don't flee and the vehicles just stay stationary when everything around them is being blown up. Is there going to be any improvement to the AI so they act more realistically?

Look down at your virtual rudder pedals and see where they are at when this happens or ctrl-enter....odds are its your rudder.

real HD black shark cockpit....
Slayer replied to RICARDO's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Was wondering if you were still working on this. It looks fantastic keep up the great work, love your SU-25T cockpit. -
A guy made a freeware program that allowed you to use Google earth in FSX but google asked the guy to remove the functionality. I guess they didn't want thousands of FSX users bogging down their servers...

Just curious, is your game patched to 1.02? What kind of joystick/game controls are you using?
-
Did you try to patch a steam version or something? *You aren't banned from online servers. You need to check the options in the multiplayer menu and change the default pilot name. A lot of servers will not allow anonymous players with the default name.

You have to tap x oy z and the pedal will go back to normal. You can do a workaround with the rudder pedals by going into the profiler and swtching your rudder to use the keyboard rudder keys instead of an axis. Make a new Axis command and assign the preprogramed keys for rudder left and rudder right to axis left and axis right. Heres my DCS:BS profile if you want to try it. Just import it into your profiler. Make sure you backup your profile first. Again make sure your program path to the .exe is correct

Question about autorotation for helicopter professionals
Slayer replied to Pirke77's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I tired Pike77's tracks and it does the same thing on my setup. Very stange indeed. At first I thought it was because of no weapon load and half fuel but it does it too with full fuel and weapons. -
Here look at this thread . You get 2 options , movies or old training tracks http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56495&highlight=training+tracks

If you only fly single player it is a long road to learn by yourself. If you have at least watched the producer notes videos, jump online and fly with people online. Get on their teamspeak server etc. Don't be afraid to ask for help, most BS pilots are friendly and can offer lots of useful information. Most people aren't going to criticize you for being new to the game as everyone that flys it had to learn just like you. I've been flying with several new people that bought the game on Steam who have never flown a helicopter in a sim before. After about 2 weeks of flying online they have all the basics down and are decent shark pilots. Sometimes we get the occasional person that just downloaded the game and comes on without having configured their controls or anything and asks how to "turn it on" and I refer them to the video section. I just wish that ED hadnt removed the training tracks without at least telling you where to look at the videos (like in FC2) I think people with steam start out at version 1.02 so have no real way to revert back to an older version.

Request - G940 Tips/Tricks Compendium
Slayer replied to Nose Nuggets's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I tried a kind of workaround based on this for the G940: Open your profile in the Logitech profiler, switch to the page with the pedals. Select the rudder axis and pick "Select Axis assignment" Pick new assignment. for axis left use the "Rudder left" command and for Axis right use "Rudder right" command. Basically you are emulating keypresses now with the rudder. It's not as accurate as using the axis but if you trim with the rudder pressed when you release the pedals they will recenter most of the time, if they dont just tap the pedals and its back to center. -
Open the profiler and goto the BS profile, make sure you have the joystick device selected . From the menu pick edit>specific game settings. Check to make sure you don't have "enable center spring" enabled.

Question about autorotation for helicopter professionals
Slayer replied to Pirke77's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Wow that is hilarious haha I was laughing for 10 minutes. "I'm going to show you something" "See you suck" -
Power5 on logitech profiler you need to change the program path to BS because it changed in 1.02. Same goes for Modman , make sure you are picking the right .exe (1.01or 1.02+) I just tried it with Modman 7.3 and it launches ok here.

INU alignment coordinate versus orientation question
Slayer replied to ChromeWasp's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
No offence taken:) it's all good. I had similar problems with my X52 Pro twist grip rudder doing the same thing. After a 2nd new piece of hardware giving me problems I was starting to suspect the game. I'll have to play with the rudders in the calibration page to see if they are indeed spiking because that would most likely cause this issue also. -
3 ring binder vs spiral is a very old arguement, way beyond this game :) I remember using ...excuse my old military venacular..."paper assholes" to repair many 3 ring binder T.O. (technical orders) in the USAF on night shift and I prefer spiral myself. The pages don't flip as easy but then again they don't tear out as easy either....
