  1. When putting the MIK BAND 3-way switch from center to forward position by right clicking, the incockpit switch stays in center position (no switch flipping animation). Switching back from forward to center position by left clicking, the incockpit switch is in center position all time (no switch flipping animation). Switching from center to aft position is animated correctly. TRK file attached. Viggen MIK BAND switch bug.trk

  3. The RL Viggen manual (English version of SFI JA 37C, unclassified part) says "Autopilot quick disengage button", which isn't available in the controls settings.
  4. If the logbook was working at all, this would be a nice feature to have i guess.
  5. At the risk of causing me a lot of trouble: properly calibrating the monitor, then adjusting ingame gamma accordingly. Works wonders.
  6. Hey Red, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, im running 2.5.5.41371 openbeta.
  7. God, this guy is good :megalol::helpsmilie:
  8. Bump 1: that big juicy ADI is what you are looking for. Also check the VVI to see if you climb or dive. Never rely on the HUD alone for obvious reasons. Bump 2: why start hardcore? Set up a mission in perfect weather conditions so you can see where you are, how ILS behaves and what all your instruments are doing. Once you are fine with that, get one step further and add some rain maybe or dusk.
  9. Just jumped into the Viggens cockpit after ages for a flight. Right clicking the countermeasures switch (the one above the canopy lever) to put it to center setting caused DCS to freeze and crash. Been working fine after removing the click fix mod. Running open beta version. Would be a good idea to put some info in the user files entry so people are aware it finally became incompatible. Thanks for the work and putting it up for us to use! Has this been fixed by HB in the meantime anyways? If not, it's about time i guess.
  10. You're totally right, buddy. Also please don't forget to recalibrate your Joystick after each Mission and fully decalibrate after playing :megalol: In fact, ED should provide Software that does it for you. One shouldn't really be forced to do all this brating stuff.
  11. Buddy, stop trolling please for a minute. My sides need a break. Seriously. :megalol::helpsmilie:
  12. Oh, hast recht...
  14. Yet another case of non-calibrated monitor. Fire handles actually illuminate and signal lights panel is just fine.
  15. Society infantilization is a real thing.
  16. :megalol: Best trolling in ages. Love it! Joking aside: id absolutely buy again any module i own if DCS was running on Linux, even at twice the price. Every other game i play already runs on Linux or is close to. Windows (10) is just pure cancer, filled with forced bloatware and advertisments and with installing you agree that cortana and other forced components can monitor your mic and files 24/7 and send copies of everything to MS servers without further notice. DCS really is the only thing that keeps me from wiping that MS bugging device from my SSD. Maybe Steam, as much as i dislike it, can solve this in the future via Proton.
  17. In reality, in a real cockpit, you just know where everything is, its muscle memory like i dont have to look at my thrustmaster throttle anymore to hit the autopilot mode selector or flaps switch. I just reach where i have reached hundreds of times before already. You dont need light to find your own nose, right? Thats exactly how it works. When it comes to our virtual cockpit, a pro tip: calibrate your monitors, thats what i did after new pit release and its been an eyeopener (phun intended). I got a dirt cheap iiyama 2483 powered by an overaged GTX950 and no problem locating all switches now even without flood light and just instrument backlight on. So there is no "muh cheap hardware" excuse. NVG to find the emergency flood light switch cold and dark (or check your controls settings for the hotkey) and from there its really no big issue at all. Saying no big issue because indeed it could be a bit brighter so everything is easier to see. But saying the new pit is unusable at night is far from true and its quite okay as it is until the lighting tweak is made public. Back to calibrating: like probably 90% of all users i had my monitor uncalibrated and at brightness and contrast cranked up ~100% plus some fancy gaming color enhancement activated in the past (yep, check it right now). I put it down to 55% brightness, 45% contrast during the calibration process (thats different for every monitor, google "monitor calibration", theres more than enough easy to understand HOWTOs out there, do it, it takes like 10 minutes) ingame gamma to 1.8 (here again you need to find a setting that fits your calibrated monitor, take some time to fiddle around and find a natural looking setting) and let some days pass to accustom (DCS and Windows desktop wise). First i thought "wow, thats dark and pale" but thats really due to being used to a badly oversaturated monitor setting. Lowering brightness and contrast might sound counterproductive, but having set everything to a natural level really makes spotting things way easier. Try it for a few days, then put in your old settings and undergo "eye cancer mode". TLDR: Admittedly the lighting could use some tweaking, but most of the "muh nighthog unusable" whining i have read on forums for 2 weeks now most likely is due to bad monitor and gamma settings clientwise.
  18. Marked part in OP seems to be either the inner or outer frame that holds the front canopy glass (aka windshield). Hard to tell from that perspective.
  19. Love the A variant way better, thats perfect!
  20. Thanks a lot for taking the time and ask this question Snoopy. I think its very important. Maybe you misread in a hurry, the post i linked is pretty much what you have been told to be correct: the top bar of the HUD as thin as possible (linked thread says "so you can barely see the top surface, the nuts on the right should be level"). Edit: reference here in the right picture. Attached pic should be the correct seat height but then you cant see the TVV at all when sitting back. Thats why i brought up my question. Several RL A-10C pilots now told the same about the correct view height but, if i got this right, also said the whole HUD could be seen when being in a relaxed position. In DCS this currently is not possible meaning theres something wrong with the cockpit/camera position/whatever.
  21. +1 on this. Full fidelity aircraft but the button assignment is on FC3 level. Id totally fly this bird more often but i hate putting switched up-down-up-down-up to cycle the ingame switch when i could just bind it to some 3-way switch on my THWH.
  22. Could you take that opportunity and ask about this one here? Got my standard viewpoint set like this right now and when employing weapons in a 20/30/45 it really makes sense. But when flying level and sitting in a relaxed position i can't even see the flight path marker. Would love to learn if this is nonsense or just not working correctly in DCS/not set up properly by me. Cheers and have fun in the sim :pilotfly:
